Artifact List? Also, Shaped Boots?? in Geneforge Series

Those are all the artifacts; there are no artifact boots. Shaped Boots provide decent protection as boots go, but have no other special properties.

And no, you can't enchant an item more than once.

Actually, he did make them unkillable. They run away once you get them down to 1 HP.

WKS: Don't worry, you'll pick it up as you go along. In fact, if I didn't know better I'd say from your opening move that you were familiar with the famous 1997 championship match in Rome.

I invoke Zenker's triangulation rule to enter at Cockfosters.

Did you ever get the papers from Alwan after the Moseh quest? You have to do so before leaving Illya Province if you want Camp Gamma to be friendly.

Avernum and Geneforge, as I've already pointed out above, are the games of about 10 years ago. SW makes retro games; that's their appeal. We're just a little more retro than you are. As for drama, the only person being dramatic here is you.

If you're going pro-Shaper you get a quest from someone in Poryphra Ruins to help the infiltrators instead of killing them. (Or you can help them and then kill them to get both rewards.)

hmmmm. guess i can't cross that bridge then, huh? because i don't think i helped refugees get out of the swamp... maybe they attacked me first, but i'm pretty sure i killed them.
There was one group in Shaper Camp Gamma and another in Aziraph Rebel Camp. If you've been going pro-rebel the whole game you wouldn't have been able to reunite both groups and get them out.

When creations can be controlled safely and precisely from afar by shapers and fight more effectively than all but the best of human soldiers, the rider becomes somewhat redundant.

"Laziness" is perhaps overly harsh; implementing a mounted soldier convincingly is not an easy task. Think for a while on how you'd do it, and then think on the disadvantages of whatever approaches you might consider. Game design isn't easy.

I tried. Salassar gets (even more) ticked off at you and won't tell you a thing. The conversation ends with you asking to see Greta and being let in no matter what; the only difference is whether you talk Ghaldring into giving you 1000 clams or not. There's probably a Leadership requirement, but I'm too lazy to check the scripts right now.

Smashing the machine will prevent you from completing the Help the Infiltrators quest and therefore cause you to miss out on two rather nice rewards, but it won't prevent you from finishing the game for either side.

I'd buy Blademaster and Lethal Blow if they were easier to unlock. Neither of them is exactly an incredibly awesome skill, but a fighter doesn't have that much to spend skill points on at high levels.

Hang onto them. You need artifacts more than you need money.

You can probably sell stuff that's just used for making wands and things, though, unless you really like wands.

I wasn't ever claiming anything in the first place. I just come here to point out where other people go wrong.

And we drakons will shelter the lesser beings with us in the Grayghost Mountains while our creations cleanse Terrestia of the Shapers._" (emphasis mine)
The second time was me repeating this. Don't call me a liar unless you know what you're talking about, please.

You emphasised the wrong part. Try the seven words immediately after that.

quote:
No, it would have said they looked concerned. He wasn't concerned, though, so he much more likely agreed to help you because serviles are a valuable labor and fighting resource. He is pragmatic, not empathic.
By that argument, you could say that humans have no capacity for empathy either, since anyone whom anyone helped could conceivably turn out to be a useful resource in future.

quote:
I still think the most powerful quote used so far in this thread is the one where Greta is killed by the unbound and it specifically says that the drakons remain emotionless. You say I ignore quotes, what do you have to say about that one?
All that proves is that they don't particularly care about Greta. Remember, you're trying to prove a negative existential claim here: that there is nobody about whom drakons care. That means that even one instance of a drakon caring about somebody invalidates your claim, while any instance in which a drakon doesn't care about somebody proves nothing one way or the other.

"Better engine" is entirely subjective. I find Avernum's graphics almost intolerably ugly, and it's a real barrier to my enjoyment -- Exile is much prettier.

And if you think most of Exile's spells are useless, you just don't know how to use them properly. Of all the spells in BoE, I can think of maybe two that I've never found any use for.
