By the way, the thing you want inside the data folder is the editor APPLICATION, not the editor FOLDER. Lots of people slip up on this.

Well, there is evidence of demons fighting among one another (one in Exile 1 (and therefore probably Avernum 1 too) was imprisoned by Grah-Hoth and helps the party if freed). So if they're all evil, they're at least evil in different ways and to varying degrees.

Khoth's BoE scenario "Demon" explores the premise you suggest as well.

Mohrg, this is the Avernum Trilogy forum. No such thing as Major Haste or Major Blessing. :P

You're right that he should be doing more damage than he is. Are you sure he actually has a weapon equipped, as opposed to merely carrying it around?

The BoE scenario At the Gallows, regarded by some as "Exile IV", deals with this sort of thing to some extent.

I'll understand if no one is interested. After all... who would, for me?

Oh, stop fishing for compliments and let your work speak for itself. One thing I'll say for you is that you have plenty of ideas, although I imagine your writing loses a fair bit in the translation.

There seems to be a theme of loss running through your work. It's none of my business, of course, but I wonder if you feel as if there's something important to you that you've lost.

By the way, I dig how you did the Kafka thing with the protagonist's name in Patient II.

I'm in the middle of a biomedical science course, so that leaves me with a fairly well-defined set of options for after I graduate: academia, private research or consultancy, or science journalism. My preference between the three vacillates from day to day. If I get my PhD without having ever held down a serious job in a scientific field, I'll probably stay in academia by default.

1) No.

2) Ask Jeff for a new registration code for the new computer. He's usually pretty accommodating.

3) As long as you don't actually use the software on two computers simultaneously, I think it's okay. But check the licence.

I'm pretty sure it's the same with Sulfy's room. Jeff only puts the rooms there at all for the sake of people who cast Magic Map.

5) A graphic that is only a one-color shift is disqualified.
So the Fire Slith might not be eligible at all, depending on just how much editing was done with the colours.

BoA Graphics Competition Question in Blades of Avernum Editor

Your Mutated Slith would count as an edit; in fact, virtually all edits so far have come from BoA-standard graphics (edits based only on your own graphics would all count as originals, I believe, and other artists will usually object to you editing their graphics and entering them into a contest in your name).

By the way, a graphic made just by editing colours will annoy people. There's already a way to add tints to items and monsters within BoA, and more significant colour edits can be done by virtually any painting program.

It means that the host hosting the image doesn't allow you to link directly to images on their servers.

Solution: use a host that does.

Okay, Overwhelming, next question:

Would you like Jeff Vogel to spend weeks or months adding a secure password system instead of adding new features and fixing bugs in BoA?

Hint: saying yes won't make you very popular.

Energy Pulse isn't a skill. Energy Pulse mind crystals just send a pulse of energy through your brain. This isn't a good thing, so don't use them.
