The excellent Relle's Walkthrough frequently talks about Hasting and Blessing the entire party. I have yet to acquire a spell able to do this. One at a time, only, it seems. Is there a way of giving everyone an extra go?

PS Does swigging a Haste potion have the same effect as being Hasted?

Thanks in advance.

Major Haste and Bless Party both haste and bless the entire party respectively. If you want something a bit more powerful, Major Blessing blesses, hastes AND poisons the weapons of the whole party.

Yes, haste potions haste you.

Mohrg, this is the Avernum Trilogy forum. No such thing as Major Haste or Major Blessing. :P

Gunshy, Haste at level 3 will haste multiple characters.

Indeed, Haste Level 3 will haste the entire Party at once, and it still only costs 3 MP. Thus, you should make finding it a top priority, as this spell can literally double your Party's combat ability, and it makes those monsters that slow the entire Party at once from 2 1/2 screens away 3 times every round (COUGH DEMONS COUGH) much more managable.

This may be really, really obvious, but I'll say it anyway: you don't really need to Bless anyone who isn't going to be involved in melee combat. Hasting everyone is good if you can -- although I didn't find it tremendously necessary to Haste the spellcasters most of the time, but that's just my style of playing -- but Blessing everyone is rarely necessary.

Wanna make life easy?

*****Spoiler Alert*****

Go to Erika's Tower, and read all of the books that she's standing next to (you can take them all, none of them are NY). One of them will teach your Mages Haste Level 3.

Enjoy!

That would also be in my FAQ. Check the magic section if you want to know the locations of the level 3 spells.
