Does anyone else find it strange that giants carry naught but large sums of coin and silver bars? Shouldn't they carry clubs, or boulders or something? -------------------- "Like most of life's problems, this one can be solved with bending" Posts: 287 | Registered: Tuesday, August 19 2003 07:00 |

Yeah, but then again, I don't think there are any monsters who drop everything they appear to be carrying or wearing. I guess the ground would become unrealistically cluttered if monsters dropped everything they logically should. -------------------- Ex-member-#2475. Post count = 406 + whatever it says below. They pick up the silver bars, stick coins to them and use them as clubs. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Would that be as a lure to trap people who want to steal them? -------------------- Do not underestimate the power of the mechanical pencil. Join the Dark side. We have cookies. They obviously use silver as clubs, and think about how many tiny things you may lose in your pockets. Consider how much larger giants are. They obviously lose bits of money and never notice. Large bits. —Alorael, who doesn't think anyone would want to carry sweaty, bloody, and huge pieces of giant clothing or armor. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

You know, I never questioned why giants didn't carry weapons. Silly of me, I suppose. But most other monsters only carry weapons some percent of the time -- this is also somewhat weird. Neh, I really have no point. I just wanted to write a post so I could say... Well you could think of it this way, that when you are fighting those monster that their weapons break, armour gets torn, or they are carry rubbish equipment to begin with. Giant's probley don't need weapons to just step on ya -------------------- Fine Meal is people!!! Posts: 289 | Registered: Saturday, February 16 2002 08:00 |

Yeah, you'd think that they'd at least drop Clubs or something... Clubs and Hide Armror that weigh a ton, sell for very little, and can't be equipped was what I expected Giants to drop, instead of Silver Bars (?) and coinage (?). Oh well, the Bars make them "better" to fight, I guess, since you encounter them later on in the game (normally) and it's nice that they drop stuff that a high-Level Party can still use (read: sell). -------------------- Your training was extensive... Actually, everyone carries change around because everyone knows that roving bands of adventurers come in the night and take everything that isn't nailed down. —Alorael, who always thought soldiers carried money around because they were members of the Church of the Divine Lucre. But the question is why would humanoids like goblins be carrying around a single gold? -------------------- And everybody say....Yatta! Posts: 1287 | Registered: Thursday, August 14 2003 07:00 |

hmm.. though theye're goblins, giants, or whathever, they are humanoids! Humans love money and power! If the humanoids are somewhat like humans they must love feeling rich! hmm.. a bit messy.. i hope that you understand somehow... :) -------------------- "You don't know fear until you've been near someone casting his first bolt of fire" (Kyanan in Tower of Magi) Posts: 7 | Registered: Monday, July 19 2004 07:00 |

YEA Powers back! Stupid Hurricane. Anyways it seems that even giants wouldn't be stupid enough to carry larger sacks of money and silver with them on long raiding trips. And then monsters on suicide missions having money on them is rather ridiculous as well. No matter how illogical the constant flow of income really allows the game to progress. Try going through a game using no money. It makes it much more difficult-(actually impossible due to lack of training) -------------------- "Let's just say that if complete and utter chaos was lightning, he'd be the sort to stand on a hilltop in a thunderstorm wearing wet copper armour and shouting 'All gods are false'."
