All my other graphics are on the Louvre (sp?) ... the Blood Beast was the last before I 'retired' (mostly because I never actually got around to getting it BoA ...eheh ...). Basicly it started with converting the item graphics of BoE with a 'ground' image for Avernum. Theres the ice demon (Which has the melting death animation) and a wild boar ... and the beggar/mage Wraith edit. Maybe it's time I made some more? P.S. As long as you put a credit somewhere in the readme I'll be happy Laz ... maybe I should check? :P [ Friday, July 06, 2007 22:54: Message edited by: Mortimer ] -------------------- Fine Meal is people!!! All I could tell is that it was a spare monster in BoE ... I liked and made a new graphic for it for the old graphic competition. So your guess is as good as mine ... but as you can see I tried to have the death animation sort of melt into a big pool of blood and explode into chunks ... it came out abit pony in the end. -------------------- Fine Meal is people!!! Hmmm, seems alittle cheap of me to reappear just for this ... but I saw someone wanted to use one of my old graphics ... do you have access to my old Blood Beast? May I be him? Uh, here he is. Rather than new ingame stuff I'd prefer something like less jerky interface (I found it jerky anyway, but maybe I'm not used to it). A 'camera' follow option would be nice for example, rather than having to move to the edge of the screen or manually scrolling. I wouldn't mind if the size of the graphics where reduced ... say, half way between A1/2/3's and A4's size (A4, though large and detailed, feels small and clostrophbic). Other than that a good plot, some fun quests and dungeons to explore... and she'll be right I say. -------------------- Fine Meal is people!!! I descovered if your fast enough you can reach the normally slime destroyed town before it becomes destroyed .... nobody is there though .... I don't think it would be possible to check if the Alien beast towns are the same (as you need permission to enter the province and all). -------------------- Fine Meal is people!!! Unfortunately you dont have 'Grab the eggs and take them to Gnass to be bought up with good old fashioned Slith values' option. -------------------- Fine Meal is people!!! Posts: 289 | Registered: Saturday, February 16 2002 08:00 |

Well I did give A4 a spin today ... honestly it feels to clunky, interface wise and the movement of the screen to follow the characters ... and it hasn't grabbed me quite like the previous titles ... so it probley wont be a purchase I make in the near future.... but each to their own, as they say. -------------------- Fine Meal is people!!! Hey all. I've just started going through A2 again. After receiving Dispel Barriers I returned to Gaddika's fortress to a few inaccessible areas (the Vahnatai Fortress to the Northeast of the Vahnatia lands). Just off the stream at the back of the fortress is a passage, blocked off by a few barriers and with a closed gate, behind which is a basilisk ... I can get past the barriers, shoot the basilisk through the gate ... but have searched high and low (using Farsight mostly) to find a lever or something to open that gate, but with no luck. Little Help? -------------------- Fine Meal is people!!! Posts: 289 | Registered: Saturday, February 16 2002 08:00 |
