Djur and I have outlined a way it MIGHT work in the Lyceum chat. It's intriguing as a programming challenge if nothing else. I might break my rule about not making something I won't use for it, simply as a curiosity as to whether I can do it.

I might put it on my list of things to do--after the ones that are useful for everyone, that is, and not just the newbish-types.

Well I'm happy your willing to consider trying it, even if you don't agree and seeing as your not going to let up on your side of the arguement I would recommend everyone else accept this as well, I mean really most of us have been argueing the same thing over the last 3 pages, both have valid points and are right in some instances, how about we leave it at that?

Well, I have learned C++ and Visual Basic, I haven't caught got the hang of C++ yet but still more experience then the average person.

Yet I would still prefer a visual tool for creating BoA script. I suppose I could teach myself, but who really wants to spend all their time learning with what is essentially supposed to be a game?

Possibly because I don't believe he has a PC available to test it on. Arenax's current projects sound far more interesting to me as well, I haven't had much problem with the 2D editor, a 3D one is just a nice want rather then a need.

How do you perceive what you imagine? in General

Same here. Sometimes images, sometimes words, sometimes both. I can imagine with my eyes open too. It's not like you see it the way you see things with your eyes though. You see an image with your mind, but it is an image. It's hard to explain.
Also, sometimes (I've been having trouble doing this lately, but I did it a lot when I was younger) I can imagine something being in a place I am seeing with my eyes. Not a hallucination, but it's imagined onto a location. It's also hard to explain.

I'm guessing you mean you can picture something from your imagination ontop of reality ... for example you see a rocky cliff by the sea and you imagine a castle sitting ontop of it, thinking something like, 'that would be a could place to put a castle'

Personally I think in a mix or words, images, sounds and occasionally smells as well as other feelings and sensations as well. All depends what I'm thinking about, if it's something logical like a problem I need to solve in class it would words, text and possibly a diagram. Otherwise if it's more casual thinking it may go into images and sound.

I sometimes have long discussions in my mind as well when I am worried, angry or whatever over something. Trying to solve a problem or what not ... of course that just might be me going some what insane for all I know.

Not much has been happening it seems, I thought the grahpic contest entries would have been sent over. But I doubt it would be worthwhile someone else making an archive, I don't think it would be updated any quicker then the current one.

X... Man or Woman? in The Avernum Trilogy

Well see as Athron apparently finds some male dragon to have a brood(sp?) with I doubt it ... unless she's just saying that so the humans don't guess on dragon reproduction.

I think I remember the initial description of X in Exile was that he/she was ambigious and you couldn't tell becuase he/she was shrouded in cloaks and darkness and had a raspy voice and stuff. Maybe she just has a convinent spell for a particuliar time of the month or something.

Pyrog was another dragon of ambigious gender. In Avernum 1 he is a he, yet in Avernum 2 you come across her bones.

Though im glad I took first place I do have to say that half of my graphics are copies from Blades of Exile (the inventory view, the floor view are the ones I made). So it maybe fairer to give Zeeqon first place.

hmmm, all depends what some one considers winning a game I guess. With most games its when the credits start rolling and you have to start again. In which case for Avernum(s) at least it would be:

Avernum 1 Escaping to the Surface

Avernum 2 Killing Garzahd (not sure if this actually ends the game or if you can still keep playing).

Strange hair?

I believe you are refering to the Slith's crest? The spikey bits sticking out the top with some membrane attaching them.

It seems the Cutt-throat splash screen is still in BMP format and lags up the splash entries to no end. Also causes problems with yahoo's download limits it seems.

As is the the Tree splash screen.

I can start looking over it next week when I can get a new computer that I can install my copy of C++ on. Alright? alright! stop baggering me! :P

At anyrate, if Isaac is releasing a new beta I might as well wait to get the source code for that.

Well im not sure if I should post since im really just playing with the unregistered editor and writing lots of plotnotes.

Legacy of the Warlord, will have around a dozen towns/dungeons, a few newish graphics and scripting quality is yet to be decided. It will be a low level adventure that shouldn't take to long to complete (its a starter scene idea after all).

The story is based during the time of Avernum 2, where your a small band of Empire Soldiers sent to take care of a problem on the surface concerning an Ogre uprising.
