The Club of All. Does anyone else remember referring to it as TCoB (The Club of Boogeymen) as a result of XYZ's influence? I mostly listen to Depeche Mode, Yaz (Yazoo outside of North America), Alison Moyet, Erasure, The Smiths, and, to a lesser degree, The Pet Shop Boys. Depeche Mode is my favourite band, though. I haven't voted in the poll yet, though, because none of the choices really fit. I mean, Depeche Mode has changed a lot over 25 years. And no, ADoS, Hitler would not listen to those bands if he were alive today :P -------------------- Chance Forums I was once member #2475, but then my account was deleted because of a bug. My current A2 party: Vern: Human swordfighter River: Human pole-arm fighter Maren: Human priest Sterling: Human mage In all my four-character parties, the layout is the same, unless I choose to replace the pole-arm fighter with another sword-fighter. I often use different names, but I may keep using the names I listed for future parties. I only ever use humans. -------------------- Ex-member-#2475. Post count = 406 + whatever it says below. The only good thing about the gauntlets is that they provide more protection than other kinds of gloves. Even when the disease doesn't affect the party, I find the fact that a dialogue box comes up often, saying that the party has gotten sick, rather annoying. While the protection gained from those gloves is good, they're not worth the trouble. -------------------- Ex-member-#2475. Post count = 406 + whatever it says below. My family and I are Christians, and we pray before meals. It's always done aloud before dinner, but since we're usually not all together for breakfast and lunch, we each give thanks silently before eating. Also, to us, praying before meals is called "saying grace", not "praying". Is this the same for anyone else here? -------------------- Chance Forums I was once member #2475, but then my account was deleted because of a bug. Post count = 406 + whatever it says below. About George Bush praying in front of everyone before speeches... It seems to me like he just did it to draw attention to the fact that yes, he is a Christian and that "God supports him". More than anything, he was probably just doing it to gain further support from Christians who support him no matter what simply because he is a Christian. Bush should have prayed when he was alone, so as to keep it between him and God, instead of trying to bring the American population into it. To those defending Bush's decision to pray in public, have you not read Matthew 6: 5-6? -------------------- Chance Forums I was once member #2475, but then my account was deleted because of a bug. Well... I don't really know what I think about them yet. In the past, I probably would have said I don't think they work. However, several months ago a friend of mine who also lives in Victoria met someone online who lives in Wisconsin. I'm not sure how they met, but it was on some message board. They started talking to each other on an instant messenger, and then it moved to talking on the phone as well. They've also seen the other's picture. Anyway, after a while they decided that they wanted to meet in person, so the one from Wisconsin is coming to Victoria to visit in under two weeks. It's just so they can be with each other in person for a couple weeks, though; it's nothing permanent. So, I don't really know if I think long-distance relationships work or not. I guess it really depends on the people involved. The relationship my friend has actually seems like it has potential, and I know both people are committed and in love with each other. I suppose I'll find out in a couple weeks whether it works out or not :P . The relationship you have with your boyfriend sounds promising, though, and I hope everything works out for you two. -------------------- Chance Forums I was once member #2475, but then my account was deleted because of a bug. Hintbooks... in The Avernum Trilogy | |

I usually just use the hintbook the first time, and then play through the game without it the following times, except when getting through that room with pillars in order to get the Black Halberd. I use the hintbook then to know where to step (and where not to step). I find that if I use the hintbook for part of a quest, it's difficult to stop using it, because I want to keep doing it perfectly. Therefore, I most often either use the hintbook for a whole quest, or I don't use it at all (or barely at all). -------------------- Ex-member-#2475. Post count = 406 + whatever it says below. When I have cereal for breakfast, I usually have Special K with Red Berries (or very occasionally, Cheerios). However, I never have cereal with milk, because I can't stand the taste of milk that has sugar in it, or the taste of soggy cereal... Instead, I have the cereal dry with a glass of milk on the side. -------------------- Chance Forums I was once member #2475, but then my account was deleted because of a bug. You can just give it to one person. If it takes up too much room, keep in mind that you only need one unit of food each time you rest in order to benefit your whole party. -------------------- Ex-member-#2475. I have only played Ocean Bound. Although Galactic Core sounds intriguingly terrible, the look of the screenshots is preventing me from downloading it. Because I haven't registered any of the games, I said "ALL OF THE ABOVE". EDIT: When I first saw the thread title, I wondered if your confession was going to be that you actually never liked Galactic Core and had just being stringing us along all this time :P [ Sunday, June 26, 2005 14:49: Message edited by: xxo ] -------------------- Ex-member-#2475. I can't say I really want any Geneforge features in Avernum 4. Since I had to choose, though, I said the ability to complete most quests without combat. The features I would most not like to see are numbers 1, 2, 3, and 5. -------------------- Ex-member-#2475. Post count = 406 + whatever it says below. Some of them I received as gifts, but I probably bought about 10 of them. The reason I was able to get so many is that, because they're older albums, they only cost about $7.99 - $10.99. -------------------- Chance Forums I was once member #2475, but then my account was deleted because of a bug. I voted for "Other", and "Alternative". Whatever Depeche Mode can be defined as, it wasn't on the list. My favourite bands right now are Depeche Mode, Yaz (Yazoo if you're outside North America), and The Smiths. That's not to say I don't like music by any other bands, though. Those three are just the ones I'm most obsessed with (and particularly Depeche Mode and Yaz). -------------------- Chance Forums I was once member #2475, but then my account was deleted because of a bug. As for discounts, if you want the Avernum trilogy, you can get it on CD for $55 ($32 less than getting the three CDs separately). And although you didn't mention it, you can get the Exile trilogy on CD for $45 ($30 less than getting the three games separately). There is more information on the website.
