I don't really do the Naruto thing. In fact, there's not much anime I'm into (though I liked Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away, weird as I found them). Not so much because of a lack of interest as a lack of exposure. Still, I took the test, because what the heck. Which character are you test by Naruto - Kun.com For the record, this quiz needs help with certain translations/English grammar. Ouch. 27. Last month I was at 21. Guess that's what school and work does to your posting habits. Damn real life for getting in the way of virtual goals! Ah well. Could be worse. That whole thing was a pain for me. It annoyed me to no end. Then again, I also have endless amounts of hatred for big laser puzzles. Pair that with a really annoying monster that you can't kill conventionally and there's no end to my personal torture. -------------------- Do not provoke the turtles. Currently reading Armageddon's Children. I recommend it to anyone who's read the Word/Void trilogy and the Shannara series. All are by Terry Brooks. Expect vivid descriptions of death and destruction. -------------------- Do not provoke the turtles. I have some ideas of what I might be, but I'm inclined to agree with Tully this time. Rating myself might reveal a biased opinion. Anyone care to do it for me? Damn. Looks like I'm not gonna be able to do it this time around. I was going pretty good for a while, but then work and school started, bringing scenario production to a screeching halt. Maybe it'll get done by the end of this year. Nevertheless, that gives me more time to do a better job, and more time for beta testing. I'll just enter it next time. -------------------- Do not provoke the turtles. I don't think that humans can be classified in that way either. Nobody is good, and nobody is evil. Most opposing sides are just that, nothing more. It's often just a matter of perspective. Now, there are occasions where actions are good or evil. Hitler's actions against the Jews were evil, but as hard as it is to admit, Hitler could not have been all bad. There must have been something good about him, even if the majority of his actions were prodominantly evil. The same goes for everyone. I've known a lot of really great people personally, and you hear about great people in history. People that stood up for other people, and then lost their lives for it. But that's just one side of the spectrum. On the other side, they have committed evil deeds in their lives as well. In any case, however, it's not our duty to judge mankind as being "good" or "evil". Heck, it's not even our duty to judge ourselves that way. Our responsibility is to be as good as we can be, despite knowing that we're still not perfect. Now, on a slightly different subject, Lt. Sullust mentioned self-interest. This isn't necessarily evil, but it often leads to greed and selfishness, which in turn lead to theft, rape, murder, etc. I've been brought up to believe that greed and selfishness are evils, so to speak. However, there is a near black and white difference between selfishness and personal goals. It's more than just a positive or negative connotation. -------------------- Do not provoke the turtles. quote:You know the funny thing? That's not even true. I have proven this many times. And I am proud of it. :D Seriously, though. When I was a kid (as if I didn't still consider myself one), it was all about getting pegged with the ball when playing Dodgeball or Kickball. The "dangerous" wooden and metal playground equipment was the most fun around, aside from the climbing trees, which kids aren't even allowed to climb any more. We played in the sand, the dirt, the gravel… you name it. Hell, we brought bikes, roller blades, and other sports equipment to school. Everything except the safety gear that goes with. Not only that, but we had a creek at my first school. A creek the flowed from a farm, meaning that there were pesticides in the water. We played in the mud! Now, all that's different. Dodgeball and kickball aren't even allowed most of the time, and when they are, it's always "below the waist" or "below the knees". They've replaced all the play structures with that plastic bull****. It doesn't prevent any injuries, just shocks you sometimes when you touch it. I haven't seen even the rubber/plastic "monstrosities" for several years. Now it's all artificial woodchips, made from the very same rubber/plastic material. It's even more harmless. Trees and creeks at school are out of the question. It's so boring! It makes me wonder how the kids feel about this treatment. I mean, why don't they just put them in straight jackets and padded rooms, or strap them into those hospital beds for their recess? -------------------- Do not provoke the turtles. My right or your right? Is the other one TSA? I could post a picture of me as a barista (yeah, I'm working tonight :( ) but I don't feel like it, because I'm lazy. Well, I won't let any suckiness that I observe keep me from releasing ItSoD. However, with my complete and sudden change of schedule, there aren't many solid blocks of time that I can use to complete it. So maybe it'll get done by the competition, or maybe I'll just have to wait until the next one anyway. -------------------- Do not provoke the turtles. -I never got into Zelda so much, but I played The Ocarina of Time for about 2 hours, so that one's my favorite. -There were so many Mario games with identical titles, but I think my favorite was Mario Land 3. Unless I mixed them up. -I love the FF series. My favorite is tactics, and until I found the GameFAQs forum, I considered myself an expert (*scoff*). -Never played any DQ games. -Never played any Mega Man games. -Never even heard of the Gold Box series. Perhaps I grew up in a box? As for the remaining FF games, as seems to be the current topic, I liked FFVII and got excited at the prospect of improved graphics. I don't think FFVIII was anywhere near as bad as everyone makes it sound (though I've yet to finish it). I mean sure, the characters (Squall) suck, and I HATE the junctioning system entirely, but apart from those things it wasn't too bad. Skipped FFIX altogether. I was gonna start playing FFX, but then FFX-2 came out and I was completely turned off to the idea. -------------------- Do not provoke the turtles.
