The momentum you got from falling in the first place would be enough to get you a good part of the way to the other side, but not all the way. So gravity would just take you back to where you started. Only, once again, not all the way. The only thing I studied was Newtonian physics, so I have nothing to add to the debate. I'd have stuck around and tried to learn from what you guys were saying, but I couldn't make heads or tails of it. As for knowing stuff outside of your specialty, I'm not sure if I classify. I've discovered that I'm somewhat of a 'jack of all trades'.
