It's fun to see someone else on the receiving end of that gimmick for a change.

The reason posting games aren't allowed is because their main purpose is to boost post counts. This isn't the case here, and it actually is somewhat better than a massive flame war over [insert inflammatory subject] because it brings the community together. That is why you and the others are so annoying, because you're disrupting a perfectly good topic!

As for growing up, you might want to try it Nija. You don't see us freaking out over an interesting topic and the occasional bits of community spirit, or throwing a public temper tantrum over a screen name!

Aside from 7557 or pain-in-the-neck, what should we call you? You keep changing your PDN without establishing any sort of identity. So until you decide to settle on a name, you shall be Nija.

GF3 and GF4 both have posters during loading that sometimes show creations and small trivia facts about them. Some of them indicate that certain creations came from a base of some other critter. The base of a Clawbug is a scorpion, the base of a Wingbolt from an Artila, etc.

Depends on the type and severity of the offense. Posting something like porn, for example, would result in a ban almost instantly. However, that's the most extreme part of the spectrum. Usually, you'll get an official warning to cease and desist before a ban is enforced. Tullegolar got two or three warnings for posting an offensive image before he got banned (again).

EDIT: Crap. I started posting this when I realized there was something more I wanted to add. Thus, I hit the back button on the browser, and posted again, thinking the first hadn't gone through. Obviously, it did. See the post below for what I was trying to say.

I'll see if I can compile a massive graph with everyone who takes the poll on it. It'd be interesting to see the overall view on Spiderweb.

Well, he might find that a little hard to do right now. I doubt it's intentional, but still.

I miss him too. He was interesting, if a little odd.

Who died and made you owner of the RP?

The RP did. There just wasn't much interest in this RP to begin with. That, plus fairly stringent limitations got this RP off to a poor start. It just went downhill from there.

Item Augmentation? in Blades of Avernum Editor

I performed some very quick tests on the HLPM. They proved with some certainty that it_augment_item doesn't work; the engine didn't recognize the command.

augment_item_on_space turned up some slightly more interesting results. It, quite literally, did nothing discernible. No error, no visible change, nothing. However, with the speed I performed the tests at, I didn't get a chance to look the results through thoroughly.

No, there was some augmentation in A3. Basically, an item would get put on a special platform, and you could pay someone to improve it.

This requires investigation.

I must say, I'm a little surprised at some of the results thus far. A few of the villains who did well in the previous poll are now floundering, and a couple I never though would receive votes are doing... well, they're receiving votes anyway.

A port from BoE, located here (download the version posted by Arancaytar). It doesn't show any signs of being updated, and is effectively released to the public. As such, I included it for thoroughness.

That said, it appears that Lazarus's big blue beast is winning this race.

That's the problem, Safey: what can we do? Bush has already shown that he's looking out for his own interests, not those of the American people. Thus, it leaves us essentially powerless to do anything about it. He made sure of it right from the start.

LakiRa@: It's not exactly like America is getting a choice in the matter. Rather, we're getting dragged into everything by our wonderful president. And we're paying the price.

Nope. Still random. I'd like to see how you came to that conclusion, though.

#7557, dwelling on UBB's problems gets us nowhere, because unless the thing breaks, it's not changing. Actually, dwelling on UBB's problems tends to increase the odds of said problems occurring, odd as it may sound. In the end, though, it's a lot more trouble than it's worth.

A year has passed since the previous favorite villain poll. More scenarios, and thus more villains, have been released upon the unsuspecting world. Thus, we again need to vote upon which villains have won our respect and admiration.

To keep this poll within reason, villains who received less than 3 votes in the first poll were pruned from this poll. These 14 villains are:'Ravaging Raven' Roger (A Large Rebellion)Marnok (Backwater Calls)Kaejil Nyh'yltak (Backwater Calls)Valzier (A Perfect Forest)Polonius (Magus of Cattalon)Attorosi (Rats Aplenty)Hana (Roses of Reckoning)Thralni (Where the Rivers Meet)Kiersten (Xerch'de)Ebhert (A Good Beginning)Duzaki (Babysitting)Kjellka (Babysitting)Dalaghant (Exodus)Kurojutsu (Roses of Reckoning)So, with a total of 47 villains to choose from, the question is: who are your favorite main villains?

"Do you use windows or mac" - Yes.

"Would you prefer games to get out first for windows and then for mac?" - Surprisingly, no. You see, while the wait is a bit of a irritation, bug fixes usually come out for the Mac version before the Windows version is released. Thus, the bugs are caught on Windows before the Mac version is released, making the Windows version a bit less buggy. So the end result is that Windows users benefit from the wait.
