Not me. I voted for the following: Stalker, because he actually tried to do something.Zenbu/Casimir. He's evil, but then again, he's not.Janok, who's insane, yet in a refreshing way.Dalaghant, who's highly charismatic, and somewhat humorous. For a demon, anyway.Arivan, who actually showed some compassion. And then she died.Someone may have voted for Rentar as a joke, though. And it's not too bad. I really had to dig to find at least one main villain from each scenario. Sadly, I didn't find any for VoDT, Z-KR, Nine Variations, HLPM, Artifact Hall, or Dallerdin's Scenario. Of course, a few of these I really didn't expect to find one. [ Monday, October 16, 2006 08:17: Message edited by: Ghouloca ] -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! Hey Nioca, I think you left out Lord Putidus. EDIT: Okay, nevermind, I'm just going blind. Without a lot of backstory, I think Maynard and Vakhos are both the best developed characters in BoA. Although DWTD doesn't strike me as a great scenario, it has interesting NPCs. Did you mean to make that the thread title? I haven't played half these scenarios, the ones I played I didn't like, I won't name them... yet. I made the safe bet and went with the greatest villain of all time, even though she's not a villain and was just trying to avenge horrible atrocities committed against her people. -------------------- You lose. I voted for Stalker, Lord Putidus, the Lich Guy, and Maynard. Dikiyoba would have liked to vote for Lord Volpe as well. After all, his greed was what caused the mistreatment of the peasants and caused the Hill Runners to rebel. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Considering you never even see him, I decided to omit him from the list. After all, you can't get a true feel for his personality. EDIT: For the benefit of those who are not members, and thus, cannot view the results, here are how things are going so far. 29 people have voted. Leading, at 31%, are: Vahkohs, from Diplomacy With the Dead Stalker, from A Small Rebellion In second, coming in at 24%, is: The Immortal, from Echoes: Renegade Third place, with 21%, is: Jaen, from A Small Rebellion Following at 17% are: General Trahison, from Canopy: Manufactured Womb Zenbu/Casimir, from Mad Ambition 14% of the vote has gone to: Emery J. Bishop, from Canopy: Manufactured Womb Janok, from Dilecia Mayanard, from Diplomacy With the Dead Profanus Pyre, from Echoes: Renegade Putidus, from Lord Putidus Arivan, from A Perfect Forest At a vote of 10% are: Lich Guy, from The Cave of No Return Death, from Death at Chapmans 7% of the voters have chosen: Sabertooth, from Mad Ambition Ebhert, from A Good Beginning Duzaki, from Babysitting Kjellka, from Babysitting Nolagh-Khar, from Bahssikava Galthrax, from Bahssikava Kharprev, from Druids of Krell Licgan, from Emerald Mountain Kurojutsu, from Roses of Reckoning Rentar-Ihrno, from Undead Valley Bringing up the back of the pack, with 3%, are: Spiegelbrecher, from Canopy: Manufactured Womb Kaejil Nyh'yltak, from Backwater Calls Dalaghant, from Exodus Nathaganth, from Exodus Attorosi, from Rats Aplenty Hana, from Roses of Reckoning Kiersten, from Xerch'de And finally, those honorable mentions that have recieved no votes: 'Ravaging Raven' Roger, from A Large Rebellion Marnok, from Backwater Calls Valzier, from A Perfect Forest Polonius, from Magus of Cattalon Thralni, from Where the Rivers Meet Phew, that's quite a long list. I'm flattered that somebody else voted for Kharprev. :D Emery J. Bishop might've been my favorite (that I didn't create)... I just wish some sort of confrontation were possible in Canopy... one that didn't result in a horribly painful death. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. Do they have to be FIGHTABLE villains? If not, Vinnia would easily qualify as the villain of VoDT. She used several interesting assassination techniques in a bureaucratic struggle with rather big implications... -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

No, the unofficial restriction was that you had to be able to meet them or first-handedly see them in action at least once. -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! The Lyfan, while it will kill you, isn't really a villain. It has no direct opposition to your goals and does not harm you or anyone aligned with you over the course of the story unless you attack it yourself and die. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

I must admit I am surprised to see Stalker received so many votes. I could have sworn the plot was designed for you to feel sympathetic towards the rebels. Even I, heartless as I am, felt a little remorse when I threw that explosive box thing right into Luna's face. I imagined her being attractive. What a waste. Edit: Stalker is now in first place with 35% with Vahkhos in second with 29%! I don't understand how this is happening. Do the twelve that voted for him care to explain? Originally by Emperor Tullegolar: quote:Dikiyoba voted for Stalker for that reason. Sure, he's evil. But he's also got good intentions. That's what makes him a compelling villian, in Dikiyoba's mind. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Even Vahkohs has a vulnerable, sympathetic side. If you recall, his actions were in direct response to his torture at the hands of Lord Maynard. By the time the party enters the story, he's desperate, despite being heartless. Death, as an example for the other hand, makes a very poor villain because, despite his mysterious and destructive nature, he has no aggressive motivation, no soft side, no plot twist. He claims his kin, takes revenge, and then just hangs around to kill people. EDIT: I'd like to add, as an afterthought, that the best villians also make the best anti-heroes. -------------------- The Silent Assassin believes that even the most powerful Evil Overlord must have some sort of soul... Or maybe I'm confusing him with Ghandi again. [ Wednesday, October 18, 2006 15:14: Message edited by: Lenar, Inc. ] -------------------- -Lenar Labs What's Your Destiny?
