I have just been wondering, does a caning that follows after a banning ever go away? How can I get it to go away? I like having my rank shown, and the banning was enough of a blow to get me to be more carefull. So how can I get it to go? Edit -sorry if my sentences go all zig-zag (and repeating). I am destracted by my mind yelling "ITS TIME TO READ, STUPID!!!" You have to make nice with the admins. And you will probably need to show exemplary behavioral improvement for however long said admins deem necessary. Basically play nice and don't worry about it. PM an admin no more then once a month to ask nicely if it can be removed. Canning (note the second 'n', muffin) is a warning status. It warns you that your behavior is one step away from a ban. It is only going to go away if your behavior changes. I haven't been paying much attention lately, so I don't know what your behavior has been like recently. I know that it was pretty atrocious when you first showed up, and then (even before the ban) it got a lot better -- for which I validate you heartily! -- but it still needed improvement. Yes. But its a serious offence. A mad person (Really mad) named Ed or & tried it once. About 12 times and spammed, flammed and screamed for the past year or so. Depends on the type and severity of the offense. Posting something like porn, for example, would result in a ban almost instantly. However, that's the most extreme part of the spectrum. Usually, you'll get an official warning to cease and desist before a ban is enforced.
