I think there should be a "yourself" faction where you build your own Geneforge out of parts obtained by defeating other factions. Then you would use it, thus taking over the world. It could even have multiple sub-endings, such as you forget a component and become a deformed, deranged mess of a person. -------------------- You lose. As a frequent user of books, games, internet, TV and movies, I can say that while you probably can live without TV, you haven't lived until you've seen Peter Jackson fall off a cliff and then try to push his own brains back into his split-open skull, and then have rewound it and watched it three more times in a row. -------------------- You lose. quote:Unbelievable. You asked me to call people hypocrites! As for the insanity, out off all the times I've insulted people you could have used against me, you picked the one time I truly didn't mean to be insulting. I thought insanity was some kind of running gag around here? I suppose that this is an example of a time where that simple colon followed by the letter p would have changed everything. For the record, I said the above with a shocked tone, not an insulting one... or an arrogant one... or whatever it was that pissed you off last time. -------------------- You lose. quote:No, *i has made it clear (to me at least) that if I don't back up my arguments, then saying someone is wrong is a violation... somehow. quote:Again, *i brought up insults I made against people that I didn't even realize that I made because they were implied. I didn't even mean to imply some of them, and some of them were a real stretch, but *i said my 'tone' was enough. I think we ended up concluding that you can say anything you want as long as you put one of those stupid tongue smilies in its general vicinity. -------------------- You lose. So really, we may have had the same amount of fun, but I had the more well rounded gaming experience. Thus, I come out on top, I am the Emperor. -------------------- You lose. So if I call someone a complete moron it's kosher as long as I give references? Can I also say "I'm right and your wrong" as long as I give references? -------------------- You lose. Posts: 2156 | Registered: Thursday, August 24 2006 07:00 |

You know, I got yelled the last time I tried to dispute the wording of a poll. In my case, the wording was actually open to interpretation, in this case, Nioca made arbitrary number selections. Why are you trying to argue against number selections? Why are there so many hypocrites here? -------------------- You lose. Posts: 2156 | Registered: Thursday, August 24 2006 07:00 |

I always take the characters I'm given, changing only names, appearances and race to make sure I have at least one of each race. Then I just character editor the hell out of them all. I never lose. So... this topic was successfully resurrected? Come on oldbies, I would have thought you'd jump at the chance to scold whoever for posting here two months late! quote:Wrong. The Sultans allowed everyone passage even after the crusades. After all, the only people that really wanted passage were Christian Europeans on their way to and from Asia. How else were the Empires going to pay for their war of revenge against Constantinople if they don't open the trade routes and subsequently tax them? Also, Islam was, at one point, the most tolerant religion there was. When Mughal Empire ruled India, a nation of many religions, for hundreds of years, it was very tolerant. I'll admit that Muhammad was a violent warlord, but after his death the Islamic Empires were the most advanced centers of learning and culture in the world, except for maybe China. quote:Hmm, if only Jesus never existed, that peaceful (yeah right) Roman Empire might still exist... quote:Rue the day. Since when is violence a prerequisite for being a trade hub? Trade hubs should be places of tolerance, and under Islam, they were. The Islamic Empires that rose after the Mongolian invasion were legendary for their tolerance of other cultures, they had to be since they were so vast. Only when the Christians came did the eternal conflict we see today start in the Middle East. Europe made it their goal to dismantle the Islamic Empires and plunge that whole area into chaos, and they succeeded. I wouldn't kill Columbus to stop the War of 1812, but I would kill him to stop the destruction of the Native American Empires, as well as less imperial tribes, such as the Tainos. -------------------- You lose. The one thing I hated about Formello was all the merchants wandering around the city trying to sell you stuff. They were almost as bad as that one heard of cows that followed you in the Great Cave. X should probably have been considered a major character. Among all those minor characters, he really stands out. Who voted for Camp Samuels? Was that an accident? I hope at least one person votes for Bon-Ihrno. -------------------- You lose. Posts: 2156 | Registered: Thursday, August 24 2006 07:00 |

I like it when someone does something outside the status-quo around here (the status-quo being boring polls, spam topics and trying to be the first one to complain about a new idea or person). Most people get so angry and immediately start throwing around words like 'noob' and acting like they speak for the whole community when something unexpected happens. I think it's hilarious. Keep at it, just keep in mind my rule: you've always done something wrong, it's just a matter of whether or not the powers that be find it amusing enough. -------------------- You lose. Not 'convincing' ones. Sure, they put up a valiant fight, but I always responded to their banter with cold, calculated logic. I think we can conclude that my methods were harsh and even barbaric at times, but also very reasonable. Besides, in the end, I got the last word. Why, is there something about my idea you have a problem with? -------------------- You lose. Posts: 2156 | Registered: Thursday, August 24 2006 07:00 |
