Out of curiosity, what is the main age range for the people that frequent these boards?

(Due to a mistake on my part, the teen range is incorrect. It's 13-17, NOT 11-17.)

Based on conversations I've had with people on these boards, I'm predicting mostly children with some scattered adults.

Yet another recurring topic. You know, I'm starting to think that we might be out of new topic ideas and just keep posting the same one s every few weeks or so. :P

Agh, I'm skewing data... just at the edge of a clump. Still, I'm surprised to see so few young'ns around here.

How exactly does teen end at eighteen? And why does adulthood arbitrarily start at 21? Why are all "adults" lumped together at 22?

—Alorael, who thinks the three most populous categories (so-called teen, young adult, and adult) really could have used a few more categories, particularly that absurdly large last one.

Teen ends at eighteen because at eighteen, you get almost full rights as an adult, with a few limitations. And yes, I made a few oversights.

I presume you are talking about the US here. What do you mean by "a few limitations"? As far as I know, US citizens get every right but one at 18.

I said a few, because someone may dig up some bizarre and obscure limitation.

i think you should have split adult into 2 groups for the graduate student college group and us really old adults that skew the average age up a year or two.

You know, I got yelled the last time I tried to dispute the wording of a poll. In my case, the wording was actually open to interpretation, in this case, Nioca made arbitrary number selections. Why are you trying to argue against number selections? Why are there so many hypocrites here?

Please name said hypocrites and give references to board postings.

Also, you were not "yelled at" for having a different interpretation. People disagreed with you and said that the intent of the poll was more toward your definition of antagonist. Discussion about what makes a good villain insued.

In this case, people are speculating about a more representative demographic poll. In the villain poll, people were saying that antagonist by your definition was more representative. I really do not see the hypocracy here.

* * *

Also, I agree, the Adult category should probably be more refined as should be Teen.

But then I would be calling specific people names. Are you suggesting I violate the CoC, *i? In that case the first hypocrite I would like to name would be yourself.

Groundlessly calling people names is a violation of the CoC, for sure. However, Stareye is an admin and probably would not advise you to do that. Here's what he actually said.

I've bolded the part that makes it no longer a violation of the CoC.

Unfortunately, you seem to have forgotten that part.

You are already calling people hypocrites, so why does it matter if you are a bit more specific.

About age range, I guess Nioca is implying that anybody over 22 is too old to be playing these games. :)

That is not the case. As Kel pointed out, if you back things up, then I see no problem. Also, as stated, you already called unnamed board members hypocrites, I'm asking for specifics -- for you to justify your claim that you already made.

So if I call someone a complete moron it's kosher as long as I give references? Can I also say "I'm right and your wrong" as long as I give references?
