I was quite surprised to see that I and Wanderer were not fighting alongside with Dintiradan.

Oh well. Maybe I'll get to live after all. :P

First off-topic thing. Happy birthday to Rosycat, who has sadly departed from these boards, leaving them an overall less funny and colder place. On the odd chance you see this, we all miss you, especially the weather balloon crew. Come back some time.
I don't want to be cynical, but I don't like hypocrisy. I think this 'we all miss you' thing is a bit exaggerated. There are/were some people, including active members, who didn't like Rosycat's behavior, and I'm pretty sure you are aware of that. I think I can safely and respectfully say that I am among those who didn't like Rosycat's behavior, and I certainly don't miss her. I do wish her all the happy birthdays and post-birthdays you want, however.

Rachel Corrie was working for a cause she believed in, and though she possibly didn't intend to, she died for that. I think a moment of silence is in order today, for her, for the countless people who have risked or are still risking their life to keep down the fire in that powder barrell, and for the countless lives that have been claimed and are still being claimed by said fire.

(respectful silence)

*erupts in gales of mad laughter*

Okay, I agree with you, but I was not surprised when I read about this 'spam competition'. A lot of people (read : mostly n00bs) tend to react like that to these kind of stats, and there have been issues like this one on other forums.

Besides, a little mystique never hurt anybody.

I read a random thread from the PPP archive, and it said you had 2704 posts. Okay, your postcount isn't nearly as big as Alorael's, but that's still quite a lot of posts in my opinion. :)

That isn't true. Saunder don't have much posts, but is a Mod.
[wisdom]And the importance is not the quantity of the replies, but the quality of them.[/wisdom] (Thanks StarEye ;) )

Actually, saunders had quite a lot of posts, but she recently (?) started a new account for some reason, so it looks like she doesn't have many posts... but she does.

Is this possible? in Geneforge Series
Shock Trooper
Member # 6821

I think it would be possible to do that in Geneforge 3 (having other creatures kill enemies when really necessary), but I think you at least need to attack Barzahl yourself in Gf2 if you want to be a Taker.

Are you deliberately trying not to have a custom title? :P

Interestingly enough, the poll seems to prove the fact that I am not the only one who bought Homeland. To those who bought Homeland : now write a review for Homeland in the appropriate thread, people. :)

Please tell me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, Agatha is always dead when you go to Maker's End as a rebel, so there's no way to kill her yourself if you're a rebel.

You are wrong. :)
See below:

quote:
Originally written in Matt P Guide: ...Now head to the next east room, this is where the shapers are. Kill them if you feel rebellious, otherwise talk to Agatha. This will end the "retrieve shaper equipment" quest, so make sure you don't have a large stock of it hanging around somewhere. This clears Stonespire,
and reinstalls the shapers as the proper owners. You are now done with this island. Return to Stonespire to speak with Agatha. However, if you kill them, this makes Khyryk upset and he will be waiting for you when you come back, in the SW rooms...

I read Schrodinger's FAQ a while ago, but I think he's wrong (or maybe he wrote that for shapers who want to switch sides). Agatha was always dead when I got to Maker's End as a rebel. I checked the scripts, and I can't remember Omen Eye saying something else than 'Now I will kill you, as I killed the weak Shapers in my care' when you're a rebel.

EDIT : Fixed the Omen Eye quote.

I think TM's ban expires on March 16th. At least that's what I think Imban said in another thread.

That was me. I don't think I can rate BoA right now. I think we just haven't seen enough of its potential yet. Anyway, I won't rate it, but I can say that I really enjoyed playing the pre-made scenarios, even the Za-Khazi Run. I enjoyed the thirs-party scenarios even more, but I do agree that we haven't had a true masterpiece yet. I don't really think BoA is dying, so we should get one at some point. All we have to do is make scenarios (don't expect me to start making one before at least three months, I have lots of problem with my computer right now), and be patient. Very patient. ;)

I wonder if this response means that Jeff does not intend to do a 'Blades of Geneforge'? If so, I would be very disappointed.

Oddly enough, I noticed that the poison damage inflicted by the terror vlish sometimes causes creatures to be terrified (the same amount of damage caused by any another creature did not seem to terrify them. Maybe it was a coincidence, I wouldn't know)

A vacation spot : What vacation? :P (And more seriously, I usually stay at home during my vacations).

A position : Standing.

A hobby : Lurking.

A sport : Walking. A lot. But that's not really a sport.

You know, you can get injured friendship mended 'just like that', if the people concerned are really (or have become) nice and willing to do that. I doubt that will be the case for Ed and Thralni, sadly. But one can always hope for a miracle. It happens sometimes.

Yes. Although it's my opinion much harder than simply giving him what he wants. Also, if you bring him more than one of the items he wants, he'll reward you.

This has nothing to do with Avernum 4, but I too remember having problems with Geneforge 3 in Dhonal's keep in town mode : sometimes the game paused and the characters started moving extremely slowly for seemingly no reason for a few seconds (especially when I was near a golem).

I'd say both. Although pirating Homeland would be pretty hard, since you have to buy the CD (it can't be downloaded online, probably due to the huge 3D cutscenes).
