Oh I wouldn't dream of it. I'm an admin there responsible for deleting spam. Typically we have ~4 spam accounts made just to use the website link in the profile.

*checks date* The 25th. Just a couple more days. *frown* Of course, I'm going to the Bahamas from the 4th-12th so it'll probably come out while I'm gone. Grr. Oh well, I'll be having enough fun snorkelling around that I probably won't think of A4. Too much.

Um, I was kinda joking about that advertisement thing. You weren't really advertising anyway.

Oh, and happy vacation! :)

I've only played the demos so far, but I thought the Avernum 3 demo was the best.

(Since I haven't played the full games yet, I'm not going to vote).

As far as I know, it is supposed to be the world's biggest cat. Not sure if it's a crossbreed, though. :)

Those nasty oozing beasts in Gazak-Uss were also ornks, I believe.

Hopefully Geneforge 4 will still have the Ornk Canister and the two über-difficult dungeons.

Firstly, my computer died. Meaning I've just reinstalled my OS. Luckily, I had just backed-up, so I lost none of my work, but I did lose my scenario editor, and the game. So I'm downloading/petitioning Jeff for a new key as we speak...

Secondly, I only recieved the graphics from Luz last night, and need to slot them in. He did most of the work though! Thanks Luz, again.

Thirdly, "real life" is being a jackass. I'm at work tomorrow and Saturday, *and* I have an essay to do for Monday. Whilst all I need to do is write dialogue for half a town, and add a few special nodes, I'm looking at Sunday evening as my only slot for doing that. Which bites.

So, in all seriousness, I'm hoping to have an alpha done for Monday, weather permitting. Then it'll take a day or two to iron it all out.

And that's about it...

Congrats, SupaNik!
(At last, a new scenario... :D )

Well, had you not written something about tentacle porn, I might not have misunderstood your post. I just didn't know Vlish were into that sort of thing.

Well, we have tentacles! What do you expect us to do with them?

I shudder to think what the Shapers actually made the Vlish for, then. :P

One even jumped on my table for no apparent reason while I was eating rice.

Agreed. I think there are way too many people who practice moral calculus nowadays, even if it's not necessarily about killing.

In short, YUCK.

Does this mean you are a lesser life form, then, Delicious Vlish ? :D

Not sure if all of the vlish are 'lesser life forms'... Some seem to be very clever and there's a vlish in Geneforge 2 who can beam his feelings to Shapers.

Well, we'll see... I have yet to buy Avernum 4, I'm a windows user... (In fact, I have yet to buy the whole Avernum Trilogy. I thought the demos were too difficult when I first played them, so I read the walkthrough and ending threads because I wanted to know what the ending was like... ;) I did buy Blades of Avernum, though, and I intend to buy Avernum 1;2;3;4 once Avernum 4 is out for Windows).

Dikiyoba.

Edit: Fixed typo.

Avernum : -Serve the king and do the royal quests.
-Find the exit to the surface.
-Kill the empire leader.

Avernum 2 : -Find 3 lost crystals souls.
-Deactivate the empire portal.
-Kill Garzahd.

Avernum 3 : - Stop the plagues, find out who is guilty and attempt to take care of that person.

No plot similarity there, in my opinion.

Geneforge : -Find a boat, escape the island and, if possible, do something for or against Trajkov.

Geneforge 2 : Remote valley with 5 factions. Decide who you will help.

Geneforge 3 : War between Creations and Shapers. Again, you have to decide who you should help... But the overall plot is in my opinion quite different from Geneforge 2.

Although I'll admit that there is always a Creation/shaper conflict, but that's part of the Geneforge world, isn't it?

Easy. Before the fluffy turtles were hired, Drakefyre was the one who ate the sanity thrown in the pit. Which explains a lot. :P

The question whether it is a Spiderweb game is open to argument, but overshadowed by the question if it is a game or a weapon banned under various international treaties.

I know I am one of the rare lurkers on this board who bought Homeland, finished it, and enjoyed it, but still. There were quite a few people on the Dragonlore who also thought it was a good game. I think Homeland is way to underrated. I also enjoyed playing the Alpha demo of Homeland 2 and I hope Homeland 2 will be finished someday.

Well, in my opinion, he's handling the situation in Iraq very badly, not to mention that he didn't react quickly enough when some natural disasters occured, and there are rumors (or proofs?) that he's spying on his 'political enemies'.

And maybe a few other other things, I've got to re-read my old TIME issues. ;)

Hmm.. I could have sworn I saw threads like this before...
Anyway, I don't like George Bush either, but I'm not American, and I don't live in Iraq or Afghanistan either. So maybe it doesn't count.
