My cat did that every evening while eating dinner. he would just jump on the table and ask for food. It wouldn't matter really what we were eating, it was all fine. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. I have known cats who would jump on the table for attention, but if you don't give your cat meat your cat won't try to steal your meat. —Alorael, who has very fond memories of a rather placid feline who was given a slice of ham. The cat was unsure about the ham, but he gamely picked it up and walked away. Then a toddler ran up, tore the ham out of the cat's mouth, and ran away. The cat's major reaction seemed to be relief that it didn't need to worry about strange foods anymore. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Looks like dog-lovers are a minority here. But that doesn't matter, because even when outnumbered 3:1 dogs can have cats for lunch. :P I don't really dislike cats (and since my family had only dogs I can't really compare the two), but it sounds like dogs are more easily trainable. At least they don't jump in the table for attention. Some dogs can be scary, especially to unknown people. But there is no way there are as scary as cats. Most dogs are really friendly while cats are mean and feel the need to scratch you for nothing. I used to own a really sweet cat, the only one I've ever owned, but he was horrible to strangers. Not mentioning that he was very possesive, and scratched my arms if he didn't get his way. Haven't you ever seen the movie "Cats and Dogs"? But...but...I like them both equally! I can't vote... :( quote:Actually, in a fight between a cat and a dog, despite size difference, the cat is more likely to win, as all they need is a good scratch to the dog's nose. That one swipe was all it took to convince one of my dogs to stay away from cats. Bizarrely enough, Dikiyoba get scratched worse by Dikiyoba's other dog far worse than Dikiyoba's cat. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

quote:Whoah... that's strange. Never had a cat or dog... my dad was alarmingly allergic to anything bigger than a hamster. That said, my family's had some pretty peaceful hamsters. Can't have pets in a dorm room here anyway... except for fish, and I'm way too good at killing them. quote:i have 2 cats, but they are no trouble at all. expcet, for my 2 year old cat, who will attack your feet if they are under a blanket. then there's my 27 year old cat. she unfortunately, has some sort of cat leprosy(eew!!!) and she drinks by dipping her paw in the water bowl and licks. and when she goes to bed, she flicks her paw really fast purposely(really. i swear!) on my food. and becuase she licks her paw, the litter sticks to her paw, thus, making the couch incrediblt disgusting. AND..she likes to leap up into your lap and scratch up your(um.......) fork of the legs. but other then that, they are incredibly loveable and sweet. quote:good man! -------------------- join me! we shall harness the power of geckos, bunnys, and fluffy pink stuffed animals and rule the world!!!
