I prefer trees, actually. :P EDIT: Why are the poll's answers written as questions? And why is there no "neither" option? I would actually like both if they were nice and aren't consistently annoying. And they can actually do stuff. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

This poll is actually a step up. It's not relevant to anything instead of being relevant to somewhere else. —Alorael, who is a cat person. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Cats are easier to annoy but they annoy back (thus proving that they are smarter than dogs), so it's kind of a toss up. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

I like cats as well. I've always wanted one, but my mother is allergic. Technically, I could get one now that I'm living by myself, but there is probably something in the regulations against keeping pets in the house here. Also, the General forum has surpassed 10,000 posts around midnight GMT today, or a bit over six hours ago. It's topics like this that keep the board alive. And that keep me slaving and panicking for the annual PPP, naturally. :P -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. quote:Yes we do. What is it with people and cats? I mean, I've owned cats and I tend to like one or two. But they can be horrible and scratch you, and there are so moody. I prefer dogs, specially the cute ones with tons of hair, tiny and friendly. I have the greatest stuffed dog animal in the world. It's the best present I've ever gotten from a boy. It's white, and has tons of hair and looks exactly like a dog. Posts: 1035 | Registered: Friday, April 1 2005 08:00 |

Where are all these destructive cats coming from? I've never had a cat that was much trouble. Granted, I did have one that would pounce on your toes if you let him on your bed at night, and was also prone to licking people's hair. But that was the extent of his activities. One thing I will say about cats, however: they seem to be much more suited to being hybridized into a humanoid race in fantasy settings. I can think of a bunch of cat-races other than Nephilim. Dog-races are much rarer -- really the only one I can think of are the Rawulfs in Wizardry 6, and they were nothing to get excited about. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

They both have their positives and negatives. I've found that when shooting dogs they tend to run straight at the shooter, reducing the range and making for a smaller and closer target. Cats tend to freak out and hide, which makes them a much more satisfying target. Dogs are better swimmers, but cats really do try. Dogs have a harder time climbing out of a tree. Cat skeletons are much less creepy when found in unexpected places. So, in summary, they each have their proper place. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |
