I can think of a bunch of cat-races other than Nephilim. I've found that when shooting dogs they tend to run straight at the shooter, reducing the range and making for a smaller and closer target. Cats tend to freak out and hide, which makes them a much more satisfying target. Dogs are better swimmers, but cats really do try. Dogs have a harder time climbing out of a tree. Cat skeletons are much less creepy when found in unexpected places.
