As a Shaper it's better to use javelins until you find venom batons. Thorn batons are only useful to sell even though they can kill the low level creations you fight in the beginning of the game. Agents/Infiltrators are better off using firebolt since they tend to do more average damage at the starting statistics. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

My old department sent out a newsletter where a professor remembered back in the 1970's a graduate student asking for 16kB RAM for their IMSAI computer. The professor said, "Why do you need that much memory?" The company is still around. People today have it so easy. No more cramming programs into tiny memory requirements. Loading programs from punched paper tapes or from 9 inch floppy disks. Any thoughts from the younger generation? Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Japan did invade the US during World War II by landing on two islands in Alaska. They abandoned one and were killed on the other after digging in with bunkers and tunnels. My father was stationed up there against a second invaison. The US has long tried to prevent anyone else from being able to do anything like our atomic bombings. Especially since we will probably be the target. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Aran you need an autocensor for work. Actually it's not the straight Google, but what's left in cached version or on something like Wayback. Depending upon your boss' determination and computer skills you might need a new identity. In the mean time you want want to imply that you suffer from multiple personality disorder and one of your other personalities is a little strange. I heard of one person that had no recollection of his life from waking up in the morning until about noon. He would have pages of class notes from his morning classes and people talking to him about what he had done. He seemed to function fine without knowing what he did for part of the day. If you have a chance to read the January 29, 2007 issue of The Wall Street Journal in the last section they look at the lack of privacy on the Web. Some of the hoops you have to jump through to insure that deleted information stays deleted make it barely worth the effort. Excuse me I need to Google myself to see what's appeared in the last few months. Edit - That was the last time I ever contribute to a political candidate. He lost and now my name is plastered over all these sites for fund raising. No wonder I get so much junk mail. Then someone else with the same name got a housing permit in another part of the country. At least I hope that and not identity theft. Actually the Shapers would probably use more of their new serviles to eliminate any future rebellions using serviles and reduce the new creations as the Rebellion is crushed. There are repeated warnings on the screen showing the wingbolts to watch for rogue tendencies. After what has happened the Shapers will clamp down on anything that could produce a future Rebellion in spite of claims to have changed. After all if you help the Shapers than you wind up in an exile. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

You start out as a looter. From the beginning you get to decide whether you will be modified by a geneforge to use canisters or take a shaper path and learn things the hard way. ET - I think the drakons and Shapers could sit down at a dining table with the Shapers as dinner. You can almost see the drool of hunger in the opening screen. Actually the difference is that Microsoft was run by a control freak that had to always be in charge. Apple had a more open structure. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

I'm seen worse reactions to a problem. I was grading an exam where the student had erased his work after being unable to complete the problem. The professor gave partial credit since he was on the right track and took off points for "being a confused student." Idealized problems are used to teach basic concepts. Real world problems are over in the engineering classes and advanced classes. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Actually the Romans have to use head bashing in the beginning since they don't have piercing sight to help them. Besides in some places it isn't obvious exactly where the secret door is located as in the Maze with the Spider Queen. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Not being able to see rankings while the Endeavor bot was resting didn't do much to reduce spam. It would take direct action from the mods and admins to reduce it. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

There used to be grammar checkers that would catch more of the mistakes because of context. I never liked them because they kept insisting on changing the voice I was using. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

You need to fix the link. All I'm interested in is the plot and playing. Graphics, food, and other trivia can stay the same. Using the Geneforge 4 inventory system would be nice, but it isn't needed. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Since Vista is coming out, he doesn't want to have complaints from gamers about problems with that system. Windows beta testing is mostly making sure that no errors crept in during the transfer and that it runs on all systems. Take a look at Geneforge 4 Mac release for an idea of what it will be like when it is released. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

You can always sell the stone off after you have completed using it to loot the School. Just be sure that you have a saved version in case you find that you missed a spot like at the very bottom of the School. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

I think Tyran did make parts of Shadowvale inaccessible to Google and editting of the chats to eliminate discussions of criminal activities. Although a sniper rifle will probably work better. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Actually what I would like is more to do in the game. An extra promised dungeon will be nice. Food is rarely a problem although as Romans I did run out due to low woodscraft, but starvation isn't that bad. There is plenty of food in Annwn if you find the secret passages to it.
