Usually the corruption entered after playing so the compressed file is still intact. For dial up users this means less than a minute compared to over an hour to reinstall. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Sounds like a corrupt file. Save the game, remove all but the saved games and preference file, and reinstall from the compressed file. Then reload the saved game and move to a different area several zones away and return. The game needs you to move far away to reset information. It seems like no one noticed that the product color, black, when placed after the product name created that phrase. It probably made lots of sense in Singapore. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Shaila only shows up the first time you enter the zone from the east. With enough tool use you can open the door in the southwest that is entered from the Boiling Mudpits. You should be able to enter the door near the shaping area after you kill the last shaped creature and move near the door. There was supposed to be a message about the magic holding the door shut fading. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

You might be able to do the Tower Colony quests south of Mertis. The quest to clear the Tower of a certain demon will get you access to the dispel barrier spellbook. This is the easiest solution to the piercing crystal problem. Also not all the barriers need to be done at the start. Just the ones on the lower level blocking the path to the northeast. You will also meet Oliver again and he has some nice useful items. But really you should slowly clear the Honeycomb and always retrace your path. It's easy to get overextended trying to find a new way back. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Right now you have the opponent flinch when attacked as it reacts to the blow. Jeff pretty much kept the graphics from A4 and GF4 while adding a few for new monsters. Graphics aren't a high priority judging from the number of place holder graphics that will be replaced before release. What Jeff has done is made a better and more original plot. He's brought back several old characters for continuity and in jokes for those who have played the earlier games. A little Geneforgish in tone, but way better than A4. Fighters now have more options with battle disciplines than just hack or shoot. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

CD has all the games and editors fully registered. You can use your old saved games. The CD also has demo versions of the other games so you can registered them by email if you want to get the full version. No need to download except for the original Nethergate and I think Blades of Avernum to get the full version. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

You can still slaughter Shapers in one area and it won't affect you reputation in another zone. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Exile games didn't have the animations. Although back when I started playing we had text characters for graphics. You swung at a "D" by moving onto that square to attack the dragon. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

On the Roman side there are some hidden rooms that have wheels to open areas so you have access to that final room north of the Djinn. Watch for cave slimes in the second room. The Celts have to just go through a wall in the cave slime area. Use the mapping spell to find the secret areas. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

There were some minor modifications as well. Daze finally became a multi target area effect. Mostly GF3 improved the engine and fixed problems from GF2 like parry. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Since Jeff has open sourced Blades of Exile, you might be able to use that as a starting point. You will have to read the license that it's released under and you will have to reference Spiderweb. Even then since it's open source there will be restrictions on selling the game. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Now I got to watch my food *grrrr*. Although I do like what I get to do when we catch up with Zephyr. I need an evil laugh, but Aran's beaten me to it. I only count 1 death for Tyran in this chapter. There was no confirmation on Aran's arrow and the others took place before the chapter. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

I am pretty sure if you go through the dialog options there should be one after you kill the ogre to the east of Grindstone. Sometimes they aren't on the first screen of options. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Drop items, which can be done quickly, until you are not encumbered. You need 5 AP to attack or cast a spell. Items use 3 AP. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Jeff put in an autokill node if you kill a witch in the Crone Cavern. You can do it about the middle of the game as a Celt. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |
