The Hall of the Lamp is accessible after you complete the Circle Warrens to the south. Only part is possible for the Celts if you use sever seal spell.

Is the hunter the Hagfen quest? I"m not sure what you are refering to.

Amen. I really enjoyed Nethergate: Resurrection because I could easily find saved games without having to worry that I overwrote a file I wanted.

Visit a used bookstore and browse the paperback sections for out of prints books by authors you've never heard of before now. It's a cheap way to find something interesting when your library is exhausted. You'd have to go to Aran's achives to find recommendations since the topics got deleted in the last purge.

Dissapointment in Nethergate

All of Jeff's time went into upgrading the plot and adding new features that weren't in the old game. Two new expert level dungeons, new quests, and trainers for learning skills. New items and a few new monsters to make it interesting.

The interface isn't that bad and was taken from Blades of Avernum. This will be the last game to use it and was done to save time.

I need some help in Geneforge 4: Rebellion

Warrior is considered the most suboptimal of the 5 classes. You need daze spell at the start to keep from being swarmed. Put a little towards intelligence so you have spell energy for this spell.

Concentrate on raising endurance so you don't take much damage from poison and have enough health so you don't have to heal every round. Put points into both melee and missle weapon skills so you can attack rogue creations at a distance before they close with you, then give a death blow.

It doesn't hurt to get leadership up to 5 and mechanics to 8 so you can get easy experience convincing people to help you and disarm traps.

I doubt from what Jeff has said that we're getting back flying, but boats are suppose to return. One complaint about A4 was the sense of scale was lost of vast caverns. This is supposed to be fixed but mostly because there will be new regions where there are no preconceptions.

I lost the orb of Thralni =/ in The Avernum Trilogy

Depends upon the game. Avernum 1 needs the Orb to reach the teleporter for Erika's quest to kill Hawthorne and to recover Khoth's scroll. Avernum 2 it isn't as important except to get to a few items. Avernum 3 needs it to reach the third golem spire.

It depends how far you are in the game and which one.

The Jewel of Return can be substituted with recall crystals if you really need it.

Jeff's a Mac user so all games are started on a Mac and ported over to Windows. Actually from the discussion in Blades of Avernum you can see that for the graphics needed in the game it easier to do it all on a Mac since you can make what you need for the Windows game there and minimize work.

MAXIMUM max stats in Geneforge 4: Rebellion

Most stats max out at 30, but you rarely need over 20. The game tends to ignore higher values, but some of the more experienced players can tell you more.

Moseh Quest from Alwan? in Geneforge 4: Rebellion

You need to raise your reputation with the Shapers (see here) for the level needed either by doing quests for or having higher leadership to help with your reputation. Betraying Rebels helps.

If you are too pro-Rebel then the quest from Alwan may be out of reach and you will need to start over if you want the Shaper areas in the next area.

You are supposed to follow her as she goes north, than east across the zone, and finally down the east side. At several places she will stop and wait for you to catch up. At the southeast exit she will give a message about tracks to a Shaper Camp and give you a key to her box back at camp. I'm guessing that you don't have much tool use since the box needs so many living tools.

Go through the zone looking for her since she might be waiting for you instead of her patrol. You need this to get the next quest about the Shaper's Camp from Captain Trianus.

The green means that you have killed enough creatures in the zone to pass through it safely.

I appreciate a new plot even with a returning villan since he got away last time. If it stays as fresh as it sounds it will be a welcome change after Avernum 4. Just removing the Vahnatai would have made it better since the engine was a big improvement.

Just look at all the criticism Jeff gets about his games or any of the Blades scenarios and you'll see it hard to get a concensus about what makes a good game. It's far easier to convert this topic into something of more interest.

Besides it may discourage more polls.
