I have been always keen to play spiderweb games, because i know i will enjoy it. But this time the windows testing is much longer than usual, before is roughly 1 month i think, now is more than 2 months i think( or i have been too impatient). So can you guys tell me how's the progress, roughly how longer the testing will be please? -------------------- Gundam! Posts: 10 | Registered: Thursday, March 2 2006 08:00 |

As memory serves it was posted, exactly one month ago, on the spiderweb news page, that Beta testing would go on for about a month. So it's proberbly due out fairly soon and yes you are getting impatiant. Posts: 7 | Registered: Wednesday, July 5 2006 07:00 |

Need... to... play... Nerhergate... resurrection... Been checking in on the site every 2 days since it was released for Mac. Would be fun to know the difference between the Mac and Windows version since they're not finished at the same time. Posts: 1 | Registered: Tuesday, August 7 2007 07:00 |

there is no difference in the actual game only that you need a different version for mac and one for windows. what i've always wondered is why mac versions are always released before windows -------------------- Sigs Are For Weirdos ^_^ Posts: 11 | Registered: Tuesday, December 6 2005 08:00 |

It's been in the release candidate form for the weekend, and I think Jeff likes to sit on it for about one week to make sure no major bugs crop up in the meantime. I'd expect it to come out very soon, within two weeks, but maybe in the next few days, especially if no major bugs are reported. -------------------- A few cats short of a kitten pot pie... It's quite simple: Nethergate yesterday and Nethergate: Resurrection to-morrow, but never Nethergate: Resurrection today. -------------------- "Well, I'll just bludgeon you with the orange, then." Posts: 1509 | Registered: Tuesday, January 10 2006 08:00 |

quote:Jeff's a Mac user so all games are started on a Mac and ported over to Windows. Actually from the discussion in Blades of Avernum you can see that for the graphics needed in the game it easier to do it all on a Mac since you can make what you need for the Windows game there and minimize work. quote:He won the bet, actually. I downloaded it yesterday, from the mirror site - http://www.spidweb.biz/%7Eanonymous/win/NethergateDemo.exe The file is dated the 8th - http://www.spidweb.biz/%7Eanonymous/win/ Maybe Jeff is just seeding the mirrors before he makes the official notice? Its available on all the download sites I checked, he just didn't specifically link to it yet. Makes for a better weekend? :) Posts: 4 | Registered: Monday, September 11 2006 07:00 |

This looked like another Archmagus Michael incident at first... Anyways, it's officially released now on the main Spiderweb page. -------------------- "I will have none of your logic here!" "Maybe Jeff is just seeding the mirrors before he makes the official notice?" I always do this. I need to test the uploads before I announce them. Nothing is stopping you from downloading stuff on public servers I haven't announced yet, but it might be prudent to wait a day. :-) - Jeff Vogel -------------------- Official Board Admin spidweb@spiderwebsoftware.com Posts: 960 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |
