For a party of 5 where you can train in it, 20 woodcraft isn't that hard for the party's total.

As was the custom in that area and most of the world, Jacob also had children with Leah's and Rachel's servants. Sarai (Sarah) had Abraham have a child, Ishmael, with her servant Hagar because she was childless and they were both getting old.

As a continuation to something Jeff thought was hilarious, but would never do.

You start off as a tourist where you get to pick from several pregenerated characters with different skill sets: jock, former soldier, petty bureaucrat, small time thief, actor, academic, or a custom character the RP gamer. After a night of reading an out of date tourist guide (voiced by a perky Cordelia Vogel, think for those that have heard it the BBC's radio version of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Eddie the talking computer), you wake up to find that revolutionaries have attacked the government.

Do you help the government as a loyalist, join the rebellion, fight the tour company for a refund, or try to continue on your vacation on your own? The guide book stays with you to provide "help." Plenty of quests for each path as you see the rebellion from your path's viewpoint and the terrain changes the longer you take.

All those bad vacation cliches from trouble with the local food to directions based on buildings that are no longer there.

I think it's 12 leadership so you don't have to do any of the quests to join a sect. High leadership early on in the game gets you some easy experience. Mechanics helps with traps and unlocking doors for experience.

You don't need dexterity as your creations do the fighting for you and you can go last to heal, haste, and bless using spores or spells.

Endurance always help increase your health to stay alive.

Celts don't get to the Abandoned Mine until very late in the game. Those Roman patrols are there to keep you from getting an easy reward.

If you are running a shaper, then you rely on your creations. Then you are better off increasing shaping skills and healing, and you can increase missle weapons for crystal use and batons if you want to attack. Melee is harder in GF1 unless you run a guardian or agent since you have to use 3AP to switch weapons and close with the attacker that usually has a decent missle attack.

Go here for the walkthorough and look for the section about the secret. Otherwise be prepared to spend hours touching pylons in order to find the order that doesn't shock you.

My current plan is Avernum 5, Geneforge 5 (end of series), Avernum 6 (end of second trilogy), and then something completely new.

New engine, new setting, new everything. I've heard rumors of these strange things called "3-D game engines" that intrigue me.

Over two years of speculation on what comes next in the future of Spiderweb. A strange new world to explore without anything that we've seen before.

Edit- as I'm posting this it says, "...we are taking you back to: The future.

There used to be incredibly old people living in the former Soviet Union till well over 120. They could even provide documentation in the form of birth certificates from the times of the tsars.

It turned out that the birth certificates were from deceased relatives with the same names and the people were only in their sixties and seventies. Proof is only as good as what can be verified.

I remember that problem *shudder*. In hindsight it''s easy, but doing it for the first time is a horror as you try to grind through the math of an integral of infintesimal charges in three dimensions. The insight of how to simplify wrecks you.

You can get some training east of the Faerie Bazaar, but there isn't anything that I can remember from my 2 playthroughs that would cause that type of change in one character.

The advantage thrown missle have is few AP cost to use. So in hasted mode you get an extra attack over bows. The damage is lower usually so it balances out.

Jeff did say that dungeons would slowly repopulate so there will be some chance for extra experience and treasure. However with the experience adjusted by level, there won't be that much for hanging around to pop them as they reappear.

Jeff just uses the last manual with some small additions.

So this one will have a short section on battle disciplines listing them and no explanation about which combat skills are needed to actually get them.

Any one want to bet that Sliths will still be listed as getting an intelligence bonus?

Start with the north crypt then the southeast one and finally the southwest corner. Be sure to haste yourself before fighting them.

Most accidents occur at home, so live outside in your car.

Not doing anything is still a choice just as not believing. You just don't know what the result will be until it's too late to change.

I post about biblical life expectancies separately.

I met a professor while I was at the University of Arizona that studied life cycles and theorized that the extremely high biblical ages were due to a mistranslation of units. The ranges of ages for marraige, childbirth, and death were consistent within the ancient pre-flood period and for the patriarchical to post Exodus periods

The period from Abraham through Joshua made sense if you divided all the ages in half (hypothesizing that year meant only 6 months since the calander seemed to use 2 new years dates for Rosh Hashanah in the Fall and Adar for the Spring). This makes Moses dying at 120 a more reasonable 60 and the other ages comparable to modern man. So Sarah having a child at 90 was then 45 which would be considered late until recently.

For the oldest period from Adam until after the Flood, you need to divide by 12 I think. This makes Adam an old man at 80 and the other ages while old. much more in step with modern man.

Arguing divorce rates are higher because of living longer fails to consider the extremely short marraiges. Look at all the failed marraiges among celebrities that fail to last 90 days (less than your average warranty). What you have is more people suddenly getting married after knowing each other for a relatively short time. All the things that drive people apart aren't noticed in these brief courtships so the marraiges fail quickly.

Also it's now easier to get married and divorced. The legal reasons for divorce have increased to the point that all you need to do is file for a divorce without even having to give a reason. The less work involved means that there is no incentive to try and sustain a marriage that might be salvagable.
