Editor or Item Spawner? in Geneforge 4: Rebellion

All you need is a text editor to modify an existing script for a town. Look at how you are given items in different scripts to see the code that you need to add and there is a link in the header for helpful links that gives the item list for the game.

Besure to have a saved copy of the script before you modify it.

It depends upon whether all that gets downloaded is the demo version which means this is just a link to the download page or whether it includes the registration code file. It's probably ok but I can't check Windows versions.

Call for Windows Beta testers in Nethergate

Jeff starts on the Windows version earlier, but he waits for users to send in comments and bugs that Mac beta testers miss so he can adjust the Windows version. Also it takes almost a month for the Windows beta testers to completely test the game more than once.

Geneforge 4 is a good example in that some creations do different damage in the Mac and Windows versions.

Mac version works fine, but the number of zones to explore make this massive.

Why do all his scenarios involve going to the bottom?

You can send me a copy.

Randomizer at randfx (at) earthlink (dot) net for Mac version on OS 10.3.9. I moved you to friend list so you shouldn't have trouble anymore.

*taps foot in impatience* When is Jeff going to start beta testing Avernum 5?

My favorite was author Peter David after staying in a movie theater to see the start of Titanic that he had missed in the previous showing, got up and shouted "It sinks. They spent all that money and the ship sinks. I'm not going to stay for the rest." After all you know that it's going to happen and it still doesn't lessen the impact.

“And they built the high places of Baal that are in the valley of Ben-hinnom to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I had not commanded them nor had it entered My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin," (Jer. 32:35).

I'm pretty sure this refers to sacrificing children as a offering to their god and not the afterlife. Burnt offering were common for sacrifices and sometimes they did them live. There were several periods where Jews strayed and adopted the gods and customs of their neighbors.

After all Abraham was supposed to offer Isaac as a sacrifice (Islam says it was Ishmael).

Christianity is full of contradictions in moral behavior. Get over it and go back to true monotheism, Judaism. The retreads are doomed to failure.

Avernum Saave Copy in Avernum 4

It would be easier to scrap the laptops and buy new Macs. It will solve your problem and you won't have to wait as long to play Avernum 5.

Use the Windows search function to look for save0 file names. Then figure out which one goes with Avernum 4.

It depends upon whether you have a Mac where the save files save0 to save19 are found in the Avernum 4 Files folder or Windows where I think the files are saved in My Document (I don't have Windows, but that's how other games were done). Take a few minutes and look for the save0 to save19 files names and check the creation/last editted dates to find the ones for Avernum 4. These are the only files you need to copy.

Buddhism, which dates back to the 6th century B.C.E., in time came to feature both hot and cold hells.

Ah yes, I forgot about the Buddhist Captivity

Jews reached India sometime after the Babylonian Captivity, probably as part of the resettlement plan when they were taken into Exile. So it's possible for some ideas from the region to reach Israel either that way or from trading between Arabia and India.

Either way the concept of a torturous afterlife was definitely added on after the end of the Old Testament. Not even the Dead Sea Scrolls mention it.

I had a lazy friend who had no guilt over not doing work when there was someone else who could do it. Now when he lived alone, he actually did it since there was no one but him to do it.

Regarding Papal infallibility, it was made retroactive even though the Catholic church had several old papal decisions that they would rather forget ever happened. After all they couldn't have infallibility appear suddenly and imply then that the older popes were nuts and not anymore.

Access is from the lowest level, after you go up a level to change the control that grants access that area. For more info go to here for details.

The header mentions, "Croikle's GF2 editor," but the search function isn't giving any results. I suppose you can try to brute force search the old topics or try to rework the GF3 editor.

So far it testing with chimps research has found that primates are hard-wired for a sense of moral outrage. In an experiment, two chimps preformed the same task and one got a favorite food reward and the other got a bland food reward. The one with the bland food looked at what the other got and threw it's food back at the researcher. They haven't got a translation of what the chimp said, but it seemed to be expressing that it wanted nothing rather then getting less for the same work. There was also something about the researcher that probably would be autocensored.

So we will complain about not getting what we want.
