Both fire shaping and magic shaping have good creations. Battle shaping isn't so good.

As a lifecrafter, you'll want lots of blessing magic to buff your creations and some healing and mental magic. Don't worry about battle magic because your creations will do your fighting for you.

What goes up must come down, right?

Dikiyoba notes that Alorael conveniently failed to mention exactly who will be responsible for the sinister things to come. Therefore, Dikiyoba predicts an inside job.

No, it's minor. Occasionally, as you walk between Grindstone and Fort Monastery, you'll be attacked by a green bat. You'll automatically get a wing for killing it. It doesn't show up every time, but it will show up eventually.

That's what I thought.

Anyway, just beat the thing (with a god party, obviously). It's not as awful as I imagined. That is to say, it wasn't quite as awful as Homeland. In fact, it was slightly less frustrating than A Large Rebellion, though there was massive cheating involved (most notably opening the editor and bulldozing a few forests out of existence) and I tried not to cheat in A Large Rebellion.

Dikiyoba did not spontaneously combust or start hemorrhaging. Dikiyoba can still see and hear. Dikiyoba does not have the urge to run out and start killing everyone in sight, although the gates and strings of colored Christmas lights in Dikiyoba's neighborhood may suffer damage. Dikiyoba's mental facilities and ability to sleep at night are still being tested.

So which version does Tyranicus have?

Also, out of curiosity, what party level is this supposed to be for? It says 1-1, but it can't be... it takes two hits for Dikiyoba's god party to punch out a unicorn.

Scenario Grouping Game! in Blades of Avernum

Okay, so we have these left unanswered:

pinski_88: A Small Rebellion by Bandits in Cresent Valley of Dying Things is A Good Beginning for A Band of Wanderers, The Magnificient Six, who are then Burned to the Ground by Sir Psycho Sexy after which The Arkenstone of The Lost Town of Obridab is found by the Triad who summon a Demon, but everything goes Back to Normal when Farmhands Save the Day!!

Dikiyoba: In the Cave of Dying Things, Lord Putidus is Babysitting Dallerdin's Rats. In A Perfect Forest, Chapman's Roses are growing Good on Point B.
(Hint: What sort of party would you enter these scenarios with?)

Nioca: Renegade Putidus has a Nine Emerald Run of Xerch'de Cresents.
(Since those are only BoA scenarios, I'm guessing that it has something to do with the content of those scenarios. Is that right?)

Dikiyoba: "The Tutorial for Echoes: Renegade Druids cause A Large Rebellion in Krell that results in an Exodus to Bahssikava was sadly lacking."
(Since Dikiyoba said this one was practically impossible to guess, Dikiyoba will just say that they are all scenarios that crashed on Dikiyoba's computer at some point.)

I have a story, one that I wrote in September but only recently finished typing. The first few chapters of it are up, with the rest to be put up within the next few days.

Now, Dikiyoba doesn't expect anyone to read the whole thing, since the plot is weak and whole thing is composed entirely of inside jokes that you are not aware of. Plus, it's rather disturbing. But if you decide to, Dikiyoba won't stop you.

From what I remember as the gist of previous debates, complex creations like drayks and drakons are grown in vats and other equipment. This gives them greater longevity and doesn't tie up a Shaper's essence. It also gives them more intelligence and free will.

quote:
and if all drakys where all banned to create why shapers create living crafts which are allterations of drakys?
I've wondered this myself. Either living crafts are so different from drayks that they are still allowed, or Jeff made an error.

i am sorry for my not very advanced eloquence.
I can see some improvement already.

Just one thing: the creation you are talking about is a drayk, not a draky. Dikiyoba keeps reading this topic title as a corruption of "Drakey [Drakefyre] psychology". Marathon levels and vahnatai, oh boy!

There are. There are none on the lower level but there are a few in the upper level. (Also, Jewel's walkthrough mentions that Smoo added some rocks to the lower level in a more recent version.)

I freely admit that the one high school physics course I took taught me very little about physics. It taught me a lot about the odds of a lone Jedi against the starship Enterprise, things to do with rubber bands, how closely something can resemble a weapon before the school adminostration became nervous, and how easy it is to start a cult anytime, anywhere, but not much else.

Dikiyoba did learn enough to know that the Cult of Perfect Physics's plan to destroy the world by lifting giant concrete blocks into orbit and then dropping them onto major metropolitan areas will fail miserably as it relies on the blocks being lifted into position by a giant pulley with a mechanical efficiency of 300%, however.

By "cogwheels", Dikiyoba thinks RebelK418 is refering to the machinery that operates the portal and not the usual gate-opening turnable wheel. If that is the case, RebelK418 needs a rock to throw into the machinery. There should be several in the fortress.

What's wrong with the secret door wall terrain that already exists? That's what Jeff used to port the first three standard scenarios.
