Originally by Garrison: quote:The Barzites in G2, led by Barzahl and based in a city called Rising, had such a stance. If you've been paying attention to Emperor Tullegolar, you know their philosophy well, because the Tullegolites are basically just Barzites with a new name and leader. There's a reason Emperor Tullegolar is based in New Rising. :P Edit: Lord Safey, no more double posts please. If you have something else to say, edit your old post instead. Dikiyoba. Originally by Arachnid: quote:Where did that come from? Dikiyoba is only familiar with the the book in G1 that says after using the geneforge, the user will be able to safely swim in it. It's impossible to use the same geneforge twice, because there's no genes able to be rewritten. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Well, there is a portal to hell in The Za-Khazi Run (although as Alorael said, the game never calls it that). Jumping through it gives you a description of lava and fire, but no souls. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

There should be a second boat at Dhonal West Docks. Search the area carefully and a message box for it should eventually pop up. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

I still don't smoke and it's unlikely that I ever would, but I still hold to that resolution. :P Dikiyoba will probably wait to make a more serious resolution until 11:59 on New Year's Eve. Originally by Thuryl: quote:They don't even have the decency to appear in the same spot for all PC users. If they were predictable, they'd be easier to fix or at least to work around. Anyway, hold onto your buggy save file. Kelandon is planning to take another look at Exodus soon. If you want to work around the Unhandled Exception, back up the file t2Riverbank. If you get the crash after moving into the new town, try replacing move_to_new_town(0,14,23); with move_to_new_town(3,11,13); If it crashes just after Kass speaks, find where he talks and insert move_to_new_town(0,14,23); right after run_dialog(1); Dikiyoba can't guarantee that it'll work, but it might. Originally by Garrison: quote:And yet we do it anyway. :P Originally by Tyranicus: quote:Not necessarily. Bad books (or at least obscure ones) can make good movies, too. Dikiyoba thinks that Eldest could be a halfway decent movie, since the crippling flaw in the book was that Eragon and Saphira do nothing until the very end of the book and these sorts of movies tend to end up with unneccessary action sequences. Plus, Eragon's brother leading the villagers to safety could be good if done right. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Well, not exactly. The game implies that the Shapers could have found something in the ruins that helped them discover genes and the geneforge. On the other hand, there are no books or records of the Shapers exploring the ruins and finding something useful. (There is a book about an expedition, but by that time the Geneforge was already underway.) The spirit in the temple says that the Shapers never came and talked to it. So it could have been nothing but coincidence that the discovery of shaping and the discovery of genes happened on the same island. Dikiyoba. For all we know, Heustess and the Shapers never met. The Shapers probably didn't explore the ancient ruins much when they came to clean up the island. After all, the Shapers would be more concerned about the Geneforge and canisters than ancient ruins. All they would have to go into the wastes for is to get Goettsch, and he could have easily been killed by the PC or moved to be closer to the geneforge once Trajkov was dead. And a lot of the serviles survived by hiding in the wilderness or wastelands. Heustess is probably still waiting in the same spot for someone to come, not knowing that they already did. Dikiyoba. You have to touch all the pylons in the waste areas near the city. I think the first one is in the Drayk's Vale and then go in a circle from there. I forget the direction, but you'll know you're on the right track if the pylon doesn't do anything to you. If it shocks you, you have to start over. Once you've touched all the pylons, the runes in the temple won't make you feel bad anymore and you'll be able to cross safely. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

No, it was today. UBB just doesn't store old member information like names and post counts. Instead, it updates them whenever someone makes a new post in the thread. (Most of the time; UBB is inconsistent.) So, since Robinator posted in this thread when Dikiyoba had 2501 posts, Dikiyoba's old post updated to that.
