I'm amused. I was tempted to quote lord llama's last post to prove that I saw it but I figured it was time to leave him/her alone for a while.

Besides, Dikiyoba hasn't ever corrected anybody else. Why start now?

Sorry. I won't. At least not for the next 1000 posts or so.

I'm actually surprised at how quickly I made it to 1000. My original estimate (about a month after I joined) was that I would reach 1000 towards the end of May.

Of course, I have a backpacking trip in June. That will mess up my "brisk pace." Unless, of course, I invent a bot to post for me...

Where's the explanation? Dikiyoba can't accept names without an explanation to go with them.

It's not inconsistent. The poll information in the post itself is only updated when a new reply is added, just like PDNs, post counts, locations, etc.

Dikiyoba isn't saying that UBB isn't inconsistent. This is just not one of those cases.

So far it's nine against and zero for. That's a pretty strong message.

Dikiyoba's dedication to Dikiyoba's computer is such that Dikiyoba isn't entirely sure what a Nintendo DS is. And Dikiyoba is happy with that.

Most computers still have floppy drives. You can use WinZip (or any other Zip program) to make a zip file from the demos and split it into 1.4MB (floppy-sized) chunks. Then use floppy disks to copy the files to friend's computer and recombine them.

Or you could get a USB flash memory key-chain thing that holds 128MB for about 10$.
Dikiyoba has a PC and Dikiyoba's friend has a Mac. That's the tricky part.

I don't think capitalization is important. I've been able to log in with and without capitalizing my login name.

How does this at all relate to Dikiyoba? It obviously doesn't, although I will defend myself by saying that Dikiyoba "defies the physical laws of our universe as I perceive them", and offers "timeless entertainment." It also has fewer negative conotations than Dikiyoboi.

Thank you. Name accepted. Dikiyoba never really did like physics, anyway.

Obviously, you do care. Just type your posts in Word or some other program with a spell check and then copy and paste them into your reply. It won't take too much effort and will make you and everyone else much happier.

Dikiyoba has been trying to persuade a friend to download a Spiderweb Software game for months. The lack of Internet at said friend's house makes this difficult.

The other Lazarus only posted in Tech Support, which is probably the reason you didn't see him.

Now, you could either move on, try to find a PDN that resembles Lazarus, or get the fluffy turtles to delete the other Lazarus' account.

At least your prefered PDN will forever remain in Dikiyoba's script.

Unfortunately, Dikiyoba has no ideas at the moment.

It's not too large a stretch, either, since exploding saltpeter boxes were present in A Small Rebellion.

It's better just to leave it here and keep several discussions in this topic going at once. And you don't have anything to apologize for. It was highly enlightening.

It would be great if Dikiyoba is an account run by two hooligans. Unfortunately, Dikiyoba is an account run by one well-behaved individual. Or at least mostly well-behaved.

I wasn't disagreeing with you. I was merely pointing out that there are enough advantages in recombining genes to justify it. Otherwise we'd all clone ourselves.

I find it interesting that animals (and humans) put a lot of time and effort into sexual reproduction to recombine genes while at the same time showing extra concern or defending relatives with a similar genetic make up. There's a delicate balance between selflessness for the sake of the whole group and individual selfishness.

I was going to say that the search feature was already up there, but I realized I was thinking of the Geneforge Forum. There's a note about viewing topics, but nothing specifically about searching.

Besides, plenty of people ask questions about games that could have been answered by looking at the links in the forum header.

Dikiyoba doesn't mind it too much. Dikiyoba learns a few new details every time these repeat questions come up.
