Originally by Silverking: quote:This can be avoided by simply extolling the virtues of Homeland. (Or better yet, Homeland 2. :P ) But Dikiyoba's real reason for posting was to point out to Silverking that he is looking for a Gollum voice. Golems do occasionally talk, but how often do they talk about their precious? Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

ginger, didn't you already do this poll? Edit: *checks* No, but it was something similar. Dikiyoba hasn't played any of the "Averums," so Dikiyoba went with the Geneforges. [ Thursday, June 29, 2006 17:11: Message edited by: Dikiyoba ] Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Originally by Nikki: quote:Sorry. I've been fairly busy over the last few days. I'm still working on it, and I hope to have the next two scenes up soon. (And while I'm posting, I might as well ask to make absolutely sure. There aren't any bows in Nethergate, right?) In other news, it appears that your speculation paid off. Stughalf has made a reappearance on these boards. I'd include him in my script now that he has made a few posts, but if I did that, all the newbs will be clamoring for a part as well. Oh wait. They already do that. Never mind. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

I don't mind discussing it again, because I think it's a good idea to have encumbrance count only for equiped items (and the four easy-access inventory slots as well). As an obsessive-compulsive packrat of a player, I pick up everything I can. I frequently find myself encumbered in combat and having to drop items, or having to run back into town to drop items off. It gets annoying quickly. It would almost make things too easy, though, since people could carry around all their javelins and living tools all the time. But it would still be a very nice feature. Dikiyoba would also like to see an easier way to drop off the items in Dikiyoba's inventory. Picking things up is easy. Putting them down again is not. And people only post answers to questions because they want to, not because they are forced to. But Dikiyoba does agree that encouraging people to read relevant posts before creating their own posts is a good thing. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

It looks as though the group of rebels you are with was just dropped off at the docks. And Dikiyoba realized another reason why Dikiyoba immediately liked the looks of G4: Rebellion. It's because it has an actual name. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

So you'll be posting the transcripts in the Chat Database for the rectangles among us? Because the odds of Dikiyoba dumping two sets of parallel lines and four right angles by then are rather low. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Ghost of Starman, stop. Just stop. You've been officially warned by a mod to stop the "all your base" joke. What makes you think that it's a good idea to continue? If this wonderful topic gets locked due to spam, Dikiyoba will be sad. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Originally by SpineRaker: quote:I've had this happen to my party several times. It doesn't hurt the game in any way, except for the fact that I can't see my characters and the fact that the game has slowed to a crawl. Just pick up a few items and start a new pile somewhere. Or use a chest, jar, etc. instead of the ground. However, I think that the max item limit for each zone is 200 items. Dikiyoba thinks that Dikiyoba has run across this bug in Geneforge once or twice as well. But it's easily avoidable if "The Horde" is broken up into several smaller caches. Starman, that joke can only be done so many times before it gets old. Originally by Micro Phage: quote:Yes, but how you use it depends on whether you should feel guilty or not. "showmeall" is harmless enough but something like "dbugkill" would be less so. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

In all seriousness, this place should be revived. (You will have to forgive Dikiyoba for the above statement. Dikiyoba's Cult of Perfect Physics implant is interfering with the Dikiyoba's Richard White Cult implants again. While this results in a fascinating shade of purple that Dikiyoba can see from Dikiyoba's left eye, it also occasionally results in perfectly logical, normal sentences. Dikiyoba is currently trying to fix this technical difficulty. Thank you for your patience.) Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |
