Originally by Arancaytar: quote:I don't know about that. A few weeks ago, I had to help out at a Girl Scout camp (despite the fact that I'm not involved in Girl Scouts), and I learned that 13-14 year old girls are great at coming up with absurd insults. I heard them calling each other stuff like "monstrosity on a stick" and "dumb cheese." And the compliments were even more absurd. Dikiyoba personally enjoyed "nerds are swimple." Whatever that means. The eggs look like insulation foam. Edit: At least the nutritional label is honest. Lots of junk food looks like one serving, but ends up being two or three, so it looks better than it actually is. And it rarely looks good in the first place. After reading that, Dikiyoba has a strange craving for a salad now... In the Avernum Trilogy, to raise your stats with the skill points that you recieved from leveling up, you had to go to a training hall and pay money. In Avernum 4, you can raise your stats with the skill points that you recieved from leveling up anywhere you want without costing any coins. Dikiyoba. The game should be big. Really big. And it should not come with a map of any kind. And none of the characters or in-game descriptions should give any indication of exactly where the important locations are in this really big game. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Dikiyoba remembers this being asked before. You need to give Ghall-Ihrno a fine waveblade, not an ordinary waveblade. [ Friday, July 07, 2006 15:50: Message edited by: Dikiyoba ] Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Act 9, Scene 2. Sadly (for those of you who care anyway), this is the last update for a while. Dikiyoba is leaving on vacation on the ninth and Dikiyoba won't be back until the twentieth. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Submission: "Sometimes Linear Is Better" Game: Some online text-based adventure that I forgot the name of. Summary: Game was extremely good up until random teleportation got involved, then the game become too frustrating and time-consuming to continue. The problem: The game started off well. I solved one puzzle, and the game advanced me to the next one. There was even a walkthough I could refer to in case I got stuck. However, towards the end of the game, the game got split into seven or eight places I had go to via a teleporter. The teleporter sent me to a place randomly. This wouldn't have been a problem, except that the teleporter continued to send me to places I had already completed. By the time I was down to two or three places to visit, I was often using the teleportal five or six times before getting to one of them. Furthermore, the teleportation itself was annoying. It took several turns to get where I was going. Typing "wait" four turns in a row just isn't that interesting, and it's downright tedious the fifteenth time I had to do it. After realizing that I had spent over ten minutes teleporting without getting to a single new place, I gave up. The game should have just teleported me to places in a set order. It would have been a lot less frustrating. Dikiyoba's rating: Random and extreme frustration. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Act 9, Scene 1. [MILD SPOILER] . . . . . . . . . . Originally by Mr. Bookworm: quote:Happa Tai Yatta is now Toenail. Speaking of which, everyone has been revived. That's worth celebrating. Well, that's not entirely true. There's a few members in Episode 1 who haven't been active on the boards for a long time, so I didn't bother to revive them. It's not like they're around to complain about it. And it's still worth celebrating. . . . . . . . . . . [/MILD SPOILER] Originally by Ephesos: quote:You forgot Revenge of the Slith. :P And Dikiyoba refuses to do a script with Ed as a major villian. Anyone who wants to see Ed run around and destroy stuff will have to write it themselves. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

I used to watch a lot of the various Scooby-Doo shows when I was younger. Then I went through a phase where I watched a lot of the original CSI. So I suppose they're my favorites. But Dikiyoba really doesn't watch a lot of TV. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |
