I may or may not be a meat puppet. I am not Googlized. I have digits. I am neither the alpha nor the omega, but I am one quarter omicron and an eighth lambda.

He's the only person here with five digits, in fact.

Dirt sued.

Where in Alaska do you live anyway? Or is that just where your probability wave peaks?

Anchorage, hypothetically.

In fact, there are many things on Spiderweb that conflict with each other. It's best not to think too hard about too many of them, or you'll just become confused and paranoid.

We just do it to drive you crazy. Playing with someone's mind is fun, but sometimes when I use more than one at a time they don't always go back in the right receptacles. It'll teach you to keep too much tracking of us.

I know it's theoretcially possible for someone to get more posts than Alorael, but is it likely? Does anyone have that much free time?

I once calculated that at our current posting rates it would take me about three and a half years to overtake Alorael's post count. I've slowed down since then, though.

I assume that was at whatever my posting rate was at the time, too, since based on a very rough estimate of your posting rate you'd catch up with me in a little more than year if I left Spiderweb or dropped dead right now.

—Alorael, who thought about factoring in the fluctuations in posting rates and comparing posting rate, acceleration of posting, and even posting jerk. Then he decided that no one should ever have to deliberately contemplate the jerk of posting. There's enough jerk by accident.

Now there's a custom title waiting to happen.

EDIT: Hey! Le jour de gloire est arrivé.

My trouble was that he kept changing his name so I thought different people were doing the -Alorael thing. I should have checked the member #. I wonder why he does that, paranoia perhaps? Or maybe he has good reason to do so much to avoid being tracked. I guess sniping civilians is illegal in some places. :P

He has been changing his name for two years now, since around May 2004. He started doing so in protest against not being granted a custom title by Drakefyre.

Why Drakefyre is so reluctant to give Alo a custom title?
I've asked this time ago and nobody replyed... A cospirancy? Or maybe Drakey want to see someone with "Postaroni, Pizzabella" title some days.

He's a Spiderweb institution that's been around forever and a day. He's a moderator and a remarkably prolific, polite and witty poster.

-Alex, who would like to remind you that the correct spelling is Aloreal.

No no no, Alex, you got it all wrong. The correct order of procedure is like this:

1. Read what was posted so far <-- !2. Think up a reply3. Post it:)
Magma:
It's quite simple, really. Drakefyre is extremely proud of his ranking titles - Apprentice, Journeyman, the whole lot.

Now for some reason or other, most people earned a custom title long before they got high up in the ranking. Therefore the highest titles - Frolicking in Postland, Postmaster General and Your Postliness - remained untouched. That made Drakey sad.

Why couldn't he resist giving people custom titles? Why did he always have to spoil his own system by interrupting it long before it was through?

So he resolved finally to let one through the ranking completely. Alorael was at that time the only one who had a crapload of posts and was yet untitled, so he was the likely candidate.

--

Now, of course, the old ranking system has long been replaced. But if Drakefyre were to give Alorael a custom title now, he'd set an example for people begging to be titled. Neither of them can back down without losing face, so Alorael remains untitled and his name remains ever-changing.

It's a sad tale, really. :(

Edit: You are of course right, Dikiyoba.

It's a higher quality spam then we've been treated with lately though. Feast deeply, brothers, for tomorrow may see the return of Ed!

He, actually.

I've made a point of never directly requesting a title. I know where that leads. I just make indirect remarks frequently and as loudly as an inaudible medium permits.

—Alorael, who could count back the days with his titles and have a margin of error of around 1%. He doesn't have any desire to do so. That would be five seconds better spent inflicting yet another contents-free signature on the good people of Spiderweb.

Alo, Ed has contacted me via a messenger and I've seen that "Ed is a woman" and her name is "Heather"(according to the myspace profile), of course it all could have been faked, in which I now look like an idiot.

At least for another month or so, if the past is any indication.

I assumed Ed was a male on two premises: Firstly, I know no female name that is abbreviated as Ed (I guess there is one though?), secondly I have yet to see a female act in such a simultaneously moronic and nervewracking way as Ed did. Not to discriminate against genders; girls can be an absolute pain too, but somehow not on the same level.

Really? The same thing happened to me. She said me that her name is Nikita, and Heather was the name that she want.

I don't know about that. A few weeks ago, I had to help out at a Girl Scout camp (despite the fact that I'm not involved in Girl Scouts), and I learned that 13-14 year old girls are great at coming up with absurd insults. I heard them calling each other stuff like "monstrosity on a stick" and "dumb cheese."

And the compliments were even more absurd. Dikiyoba personally enjoyed "nerds are swimple." Whatever that means.
