For which lines? Infernal's, Wise Man's, Arancaytar's, etc.? And "deth ray" is not a typo. It's Dintiradan's plan to take over the world with "teribl speling." Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

It's been hinted at the serviles were created by modifying humans. But it doesn't really matter if they were human, it matters whether they are human (enough) to be given the same freedoms that the ordinary humans have. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

I guess I'm lucky. Between Musicmatch Jukebox and Windows Media Player, I've never had to use RealPlayer or had any difficulty playing any music files. Then again, Dikiyoba doesn't do too much with music files. In fact, Musicmatch is slightly annoying in that it has features that Dikiyoba never uses but that Musicmatch thinks it should be using. Originally by Randomizer: quote:No, no. It will be more like A3, where players can kill Learned Darian, but it won't change the ending at all, and Learned Darian won't really be dead. Players will speculate that Learned Darian will be the main villian in G5, only to discover that Learned Darian dies mysteriously between G4 and G5 and that his/her niche has been filled by an ambiguously-gendered drakon and that the villians of G5 are still the rebels verus the Shapers. Oddly enough, Dikiyoba doesn't despise Learned Darian at all. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Dikiyoba chose: 1. Using a Geneforge and attaining godlike power. 2. Summoning a demon. 3. Crushing the Shaper Council. 4. Dancing on Learned Darian's grave. Or, in summary, the Shapers are going down! Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Wow. I understand SimIsle better from its Wikipedia article than from the game manual. I think I still own it, but the likelyhood of me ever playing it again is slim, since I'd probably find SimAnt or the Streets of SimCity first and play one of those instead. After all, Dikiyoba finds running for Dikiyoba's little ant life from a huge spider and narrowly avoiding collisons with trains a lot more fun than pushing buttons randomly and hoping that something good comes from it. Don't worry about it. Editing scripts has its uses, but it's not really the be-all and end-all that some people make it out to be. If you find the game too difficult, try setting the difficulty lower. If that still isn't enough (or if you can't go any lower), just use one of the already created editors. It's much easier (and safer) than trying to do it yourself. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Act 9, Scene 5. Now, in theory, I mentioned everyone in the Tech Support Forum (and everyone I mentioned is in the Tech Support Forum). I hope I didn't miss/add anyone, but I might have. ----- Originally by Ephesos: quote:Probably not. I'd like to do something else with it, but I'm not sure what yet. ----- Dikiyoba needs to stop writing the rough draft of this script while around other people. Yes. Dikiyoba just tried it, with Avernum 4 set on "Don't change resolution," and it doesn't work. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Actually, Avernum 4 says that it works in 800x600 resolution, but it doesn't. Set your computer to a higher resolution, make sure it's set to 16 Bit color, and then try the game again. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Originally by Anarhiztok: quote:Well, considering that I'd have to download the demo, adjust my laptop's settings so that it doesn't go into sleep mode after five minutes of inactivity (sleep mode tends to make the game crash), and then wait around a while for the message to appear, I think it is too much for me. On the other hand, Dikiyoba was planning to try out the demo again eventually... Edit: Fixed quote.
