What kind of computer do you have. If you have a Windows, right click on the desktop and click "properties". Then go to "settings" and change your resolution to 800 by 600 pixels. On the same page, go to "color quality" and change it to 16 bit. Actually, Avernum 4 says that it works in 800x600 resolution, but it doesn't. Set your computer to a higher resolution, make sure it's set to 16 Bit color, and then try the game again. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

That is one of the most irritating parts of the Averforge engine. If you start the game in 16-bit color and then change back to 24-bit or 32-bit, the game runs just fine, as I described here. Edit: Wow, that was stupid.
