Argh... I won't get the report ready until next week. Sorry. Please do send me the next version, will you? Next week I will have time, I promise. And please don't forget (pardon this selfish remark) to finish beta on my scenario. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Ephesos, no worries about the delay - I'm only just about to release v1.0.1, so you didn't really miss the boat. Right, thanks everyone, for your feedback. I finished fixing the scenario, and so I'll poat a link in a minute. First though, Niemand - hotmail isn't letting me download your file - it says it has a virus. I haven't a clue how to get around this, and so is it possible for you to convert the graphics again? Okay, so Windows users can get the new version from here: New Version!! Erm, reports as soon as possible please? -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? Mac users, if they didn't throw away the cmg file, will be able to download the windows version too, and simply put the cmg file in the scenario folder. Don't be surprised that Windows sees the cmg file as corrupted, as I got the same when betatesting MoC. Smoo got a corrupted cmg file. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! The new version is unfinishable. A variable block_entry call is somehow permanent, perhaps that bit could get updated before the rest of the testing? -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Erm, new version of scenario here: Here I'm sorry I can't just upload the .tx.t file, but Sitemouse is particularly particular about what is lets you upload. It was 2,5=1 in state 34, Fort Orchid. That made it very difficult to proceed, even following the given directions. Edit - Not sure what you fixed, as I only checked that line in the new file, but it hasn't changed. Has anyone else been able to finish it then? That would be the issue then. My singleton was placed outside the special encounter area. A solution would be to have Morley grab the lead character and start dragging/escorting him/her towards the barracks (cursing at them or praising them) for a short distance. Have the cutscene move the party, and leave them moved at the end of it. ... Or just force it with move_to_new_town(2,19,34) or teleport_party(19,34,1) in the town start state when 2,5 is set to 1. ... .. . -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Or have another SDF so that the special encounter is only activated after reporting to the Commander. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Ugh. Luck just isn't with me on this one, is it. I broke a leg. That means that time on the computer will be OR rather limited, not enough to test, OR plentifull, which means I will have enough time to test, but I'll more likely try to finish my own scenario. We'll see what happens, I guess. Righto people. Hopefully, I have the last beta version to send to you. Points of note: Jumpin' Salmon - the special rectangle area has been moved, so you shouldn't be trapped - I wasn't when testing with a singleton. Lurker - The trapped shade and Morley have been beefed up some. It shouldn't be as easy to kill him now. Furthermore, you can't kill Ivan (or you can, but not with a level one party). And Dikiyoba - the snakes have been fixed, and your typos sorted out. So: Here it is! Reports ASAP please! I'm designing my next scenario, and want to release this thing! Thank you!! -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? Posts: 2864 | Registered: Monday, September 8 2003 07:00 |

Thanks everyone. Saving a few minor modifications, I now have a finished, playable, and hopefully enjoyable scenario. As such, once I've done a few minor things (like fix Salmon's Crystal Cave bug, and make Ivan's sword have a name), I'll be sending the .zip file to SpidWeb. So, I'd like to offer everyone a very big thank you, and would like to tempt you by giving you a clue for my next scenario...
