The Death at Chapman's download for Windows at the BoA Center is a corrupt archive. Does anyone know where I can find a good copy online? Barring that, can someone send me a working Windows version to tyranicus@gmail.com?

Edit: I guess I got it on my last post, but I just now noticed it. Yay for being a Citizen of Exile!

Even when I had a god-party (75 of every stat and all spells at level 5), I still found the cave with all the dark wyrms in Nephilim Mystery to be very difficult.

in BoE i made a over powered level 50 and make a scenario with monsters ive made up. like death caster that casts kill spell and has 1500hp your over powered team still has a chance of dying against dark wyrm things when theres alot of em.

Depending on the scenario, god-parties can still be in serious trouble. Nephilim Mystery comes to mind. I'm not saying Nephilim Mystery is good, mind you, I'm just saying that even a god-party can have trouble with that scenario.

I'm not sure where your friend got that idea, but as far as I know that is not in the Bible.

"In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was a formless void, and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters."
-Genesis 1:1-2, New Revised Standard Version.

Your friend could be referring to this passage:
"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more."
-Revelation 21:1, New Revised Standard Version.

This passage refers to the end of time, depicting the destruction of this world, not some previous world that we inhabited in the past.

With the exeption of a few flies and mosquitos in the summer, central Pennsylvania is, thankfully, pretty bug-free. The biggest problem I have with bugs and my computer is moths. They're attracted by the light of the screen and zoom in from all over the place.

As long as people keep making scenarios, I'll keep playing them. It's as simple as that. I might even make my own scenario someday.

There are already a series of entries about Spiderweb Software and the games it produces that can be found here. A specific entry for something like skribbane would not be allowed because such things are considered fancruft, meaning that they do not arouse interest to anyone other than fans of Spiderweb and has no place in a general encyclopedia. That said, I would like to point out how awesome the use of skribbane is. I can quit anytime I want! I just don't want to.

I know that, but I don't want to have to do it every time I play Nethergate. I like the taskbar there when I'm not playing a fullscreen game. There is a way to do it too. I mean, the Avernum games take up the whole screen just fine.

Since Nethergate has always been my favorite, I'm bouncing off the walls with excitement! I think I will join with Alorael in the burning of wicker men.

upgrading to 800x600 resolution
Does he mean 1024x768? It's already at 800x600 isn't it?

One improvement I would love with Nethergate would be to fix the issue with Windows XP that displays the taskbar. When I first played it on 98, it covered the screen nicely, but with XP, the taskbar is still visible at the bottom, and with an 800x600 resolution, this leaves for less space to stick the automap. If he could put the automap over the equipment screen like in Avernum instead of as a free-floating window, I would love that. Right-click look functionality would be greatly appreciated as well.

You don't really need the hint books though. You can find pretty much everything in the books and more in online walkthroughs and FAQs. I've played and beaten all the Spiderweb games available for Windows without the books.

However bad Homeland was (and it was really bad), I'm curious why there is no forum for discussion of Homeland. If the Richard White games get their own forum, why not Homeland?

EDIT: Forgot the slash in my italics tag.

I always wondered why they limited those things. I meam, in real life, you can pretty much wear an infinite number of necklaces, bracelets and rings.

EDIT: The ring restriction is especially annoying. Come on! You've got six more fingers! (I'm presuming that one doesn't wear rings on one's thumb. I suppose one could, but I would find it rather hindersome.)

As a Christian, I agree with the second coming idea, but it's more fun to theorize other things. Personally, I thinkthat if TM ever builds his time machine, he'll screw things up and cause the world to end.
