I have been squashing insects onto my monitor for about 3 hours now. I have a varied and positively delightful assortion of bugs spread liberally over the monitor. From the big red stains, to the smaller smears, to the tiny blobs of incomprehensible goop, I hate them all. I've squashed about seven more in the two minutes it took to type this. (Squashing bugs has taken my typing from 50~60 words per minute down to an abysmally smaller, and as of yet, undetermined number.) Would anyone else care to regale us all with their tales of the insectoid menace? -------------------- Microsoft Patents Ones, Zeroes (March 25, 1998) "Asians are good at Starcraft because they're always squinting, thus they can see things sharply. I had that problem during the Chilean summer, a lot of "mosquitos y zanqudos" during that period. Closed windows and doors were enough to keep most of them out, those insect-repelent-thingies you can plug anywhere also worked just fine. Here in England I don't have that problem, there seems to be very few of them and they are evenly distributed on all houses, they also make queues to enter every house so there is never an exeding amount of bugs per house. :P [ Monday, December 26, 2005 06:28: Message edited by: The_Nazgul ] -------------------- "I don't want to achieve immortality through my work, I want to achieve it through not dying." I hate bugs, no matter their species. I would hope whatever-we-have-for-a-god doesn't consider bugs as "holy" or some such, for I would surely be banished to Hell... oh... any second now. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

I'm usually the one who stops others from killing bugs. It's not like they're killing us, unless they're carrying a deadly disease, in which case, killing except in a controlled enviroment doesn't do much good or someone has bad allergies, in which case it depends how much I like that person. However, I feel no remorse freaking out everyone I meet who's terrified of bugs. If you're in Hell demonslaeyr, I was in Heaven when the cicadas came out summer before last. :D EDIT: Typos! I'd love to join you in your bug squishing escapade, by my monitor is strangely void of bugs at the moment. Sorry. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

I am yet to see a bug near my computer. I type a lot faster that way, and stops me from waving my hand around every few seconds. -------------------- I'll put a Spring in your step. Posts: 2396 | Registered: Saturday, January 29 2005 08:00 |

I have bugs in my computer, but those are darn impossible to squish. Dikiyoba doesn't mind insects and such as long as they don't bug Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

I'm an absolute pansy and get squeamish about brushing away ants in case I injure them. As such, I generally don't kill many insects. Hate cockroaches though. I probably would kill them, but every time I try I just grab something to squish them with and try to make myself so so, and by the time I've gathered up sufficient willpower to actually hit the cockroach it's moved to somewhere I can't hit it at all. -------------------- ~Note : The professional newbie's advice should not be taken seriously, or at all.~ LINKAGE Posts: 364 | Registered: Saturday, January 17 2004 08:00 |

With the exeption of a few flies and mosquitos in the summer, central Pennsylvania is, thankfully, pretty bug-free. The biggest problem I have with bugs and my computer is moths. They're attracted by the light of the screen and zoom in from all over the place. -------------------- "You're drinking liquor because you're thirsty?
