I wouldn't say I'll miss you, Icshi, because that will we a lie. Actually, i wont miss any of you if the whole boards would suddenly explode and everybody but me would be dead. Sorry... icshi (if you are Icshi), but i presume you are: How much do these new implants cost? the time has come for me to go one small step further, and that is to start using variables. Now i don't really understand what a variable can be. Jeff used mostly letters like "x," "i," and "j," but there's also a variable "choice." Now here's the question. can a variable be also words, like a variable "day." -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. quote:*sigh* I quoted only this one for the sake of laziness. for clarity, this comment is for all of what you thought off: Its really extremely not creative. i have seen the monsters you came up with in about five sciencefiction films, so please, stop bragging about it, okay? its quite hard to think of a beast that's not already been thought off, or, i suddenly realized this, isn't in Avernum. avernum really has the biggest "database" of monsters i have seen. Anyway, think of one beast, and you'll always find which your thought off animal looks like. take the "Vlish" of geneforge for example. octopus (or however you write it). or take the "Roamer." just a mutated dog. EDIT: By the way, i like what you said about monsters in your game, Synergy! Who sais a monster should be a dumb follower? it could also be a clever follower, don't you think so. i think I wouldn't have to say anything, and still people would know what i would do. i wont say it, unless people ask me too. this is for two reasons: 1) people like Spring will shout at me. 2) people like TM will shout at me. Now you probably think: "yay! Why wont you say it then! Annoyinh TM is a GREAT thing!" Well, no. I'd rather keep peace. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! You can use the option "programpreferences and ......" (I forgot the whole name, since I use a Dutch version of Windows XP and have to translate it to English). Its in the start-menu. I sometimes use it to deinstall programs. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! Before you get a custom title, you must have done something special for the community, i believe. Something special, means a few good scenario's, good advice, things like that. They are doing that for fun or like a sort of reward, I suppose. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. quote:Oh god. As much as I like the Cahnatai, Jeff really had no idea what to mkae in Avernum 4, did he. Again the Vahnatai is a bit obsesive. I understand Rentar is furiuos for what you did in Avernum 3, but there are other monsters in Avernum as well which would like to see Avernum or the Empire bleed to death. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. From exile I remember ist indeed in Swamp city, but I can't remember as it being a secret room. however, it definetely is at that temple. Search again, and, if you have it, try to use Far Sight, to see if you can find any hidden rooms. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Yes, i was also trying and trying with constant failur. what i did was very simple. i redirected beams with the moving mirror, eventually braking almost all prjectors, which made moving arounf a lot easir. Then i happened to have an invulnerability potion. i drank it, together with some other good potions and simply hacked the two efreets two pieces. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. quote:YAAAAAAAY!!! Good god! I never thought you would be back! I'm SOOOOOO happy! You made my day. and thanks for the credit. *starts dancing a stupid chicken-like dance* Hmmm... i was just thinking this makes it all ten times more interesting. I wonder how this will continue, espacially in relation to Filbert. One a demon, the other possesed by a demon. *smiles* This could be a new start to our story. It happened again. The rumbling. Twice. Filbert decided to walk on, when he heard the voice returning: The mountain shifted again. I made you a quicker passage, but be quick. When you get up, go immediatly to the right. The voice was silent again. Filbert just stood there for a moment, but then walked on. As he finnaly came up to the place where he already had fought with Edith and Tuulentekija, he turned right, as the voice had said. Again, he heard the flapping of wings, and the two uruk-Hai's he had sent up to search for Edith and Tuulentekija came back to him. Apparently, the tunnels shifted. They couldn't get to them through there. As Filbert turned around to walk to the place where the voice had sent him, he felt a cold breeze. It came from a small opening to his left. he walked to it and peeked through it. However, it was to dark to be able to see something, and he walked away. A small tunnel had opened, revealing a passage going up. This must be the place he wanted me to go. Followed by the Uruk-Hai's, he went up. As he walked on and on, the passage started to turn sharply to the right, until it ended by a crossing with another tunnel, but it looked familiar somehow. he looked left and right, and then he remembered. he was at the big gates he was earlier. The he also remembered his struggle to get the gates open... Cain... Eith... Tuulentekija... the lizard... He dropped his sword and fell on his knees, holding his head with his hands. He started to shout and shiver all over his body. He started remembering things. then things became black. He fell. The uruk-Hai's landed next to him. it was silent. He woke up, and was in a large hall. A big demonic creature walked up and down the room in front of him. Slowly, he opened his eyes, and saw he was in a rather large cage, filled with bones and skulls. The room was cold and slightly foggy. "You are awake, I see." "What... wha... where... am... am..." "Where are you, you mean? above the temple. Its time to make you just a little more obedient." Filbert sat up. more obedient? who was that creature, what had happened anyway? Suddenly, a pain struck his body, and he fell backwards. After a few moments he slowly stood up again. "Orloki," Filbert said. "Filbert," the demonic creature answered. "My sword. The mortals... are going to die.... today." -------------------- Thralni's almighty Avernum pages: My webpage, containing scenario's and graphics made by me (And maybe someday the homepage of the almighty chicken gods). Progress report on Where the rivers meet: -All 42 towns complete (I may make another, but that's far of certain) -8 of 9 outdoor sections complete (still struggling to fill the last section and make the other sections a bit more interesting) -Coding of about 30 towns complete and finished. I mainly have to make the cutscenes. Also, the dialogue for one, last friendly toen and almost 50% of the specials still ahev to be done I think i can safely say, that with the speed in which I make things now, it wouldn't be out before April. Of course, I can change my mind and decide I'm now going to work on it intensely (Its almost vacation, giving me two free weeks to start with it again). In that case it will be out before february (that is, finished. Myabe not really out, but out for betatesting). -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! Shipwrecked was a firt try, so can you blame the author? What will happen with it. I was a beta-tester, but I didn't hear anything about it for a month or so now. Anyway, I'm still bussy with "Where the rivers meet." I have been bussy for about six months, but that's because I only do something with it when I feel like, and I had a period at which i didn't want to even touch it. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape.
