Is there any scenarios coming out soon for BOA? I distinctly remember at least one being beta tested about 2 months ago (I think it was called shipwrecked) but havent heard anything since then. I just want a new one to play through while I wait for A4. I was just wondering if any new scenarios are coming up soon and if so when they are planned to be released.

Shipwrecked is best left unreleased.

Mages of Cattalon is being released soon, though.

Shipwrecked was a firt try, so can you blame the author? What will happen with it. I was a beta-tester, but I didn't hear anything about it for a month or so now.

Anyway, I'm still bussy with "Where the rivers meet." I have been bussy for about six months, but that's because I only do something with it when I feel like, and I had a period at which i didn't want to even touch it.

Yes we can... that was Seletine's second attempt. The first was the hack-fest we call Nephilim Mystery. So really, Seletine should've learned some things from our first round of criticism.

Hopefully, it will be a while until it's released. That will give Seletine all the time in the world to fix it.

What!? Was that a second attempt!? I was convinced it was a first attempt! I mean, nothing lookes so... first-attemptisch... as that! Yes. If it is a second attempt, it may stay unrealeased for a long while, if its up to me.

Phew, I was sort of worried there for a while that nothing would be released for a while because of A4. But will any of these scenarios be out by january? Or will we have to wait longer to see some more good work come from the community?

Well, I plan on returning to work my scenario very soon (finals are virtually over). That'll be out... eventually.

And I also cannot wait for the next beta of Shipwrecked... so I can tear it apart in the report.

Actually, if it were a first attempt, it should not be released either. The difference is that since it is a second attempt, you can break this to the author in a less soothing way.

Next Tuesday or Wednesday I'll resume work in earnest on Exodus. I have no idea when I'll be able to release it, though.

If people are interested, I might give a progress report every now and then.

Yea, progress reports would be good. At least it'd take my mind off of how long I have to wait for A4.

Progress report on Where the rivers meet:

-All 42 towns complete (I may make another, but that's far of certain)
-8 of 9 outdoor sections complete (still struggling to fill the last section and make the other sections a bit more interesting)
-Coding of about 30 towns complete and finished. I mainly have to make the cutscenes. Also, the dialogue for one, last friendly toen and almost 50% of the specials still ahev to be done

I think i can safely say, that with the speed in which I make things now, it wouldn't be out before April. Of course, I can change my mind and decide I'm now going to work on it intensely (Its almost vacation, giving me two free weeks to start with it again). In that case it will be out before february (that is, finished. Myabe not really out, but out for betatesting).

The question being whether this is a custom title or whether Kel has had his White Rabbit just deleted and is now back on normal titles.

In either case... *puppy eyes*...

In my opinion, even if a scenario is horrible, if you've put in the effort to make the thing, you ought to release it.

Aran: Check the boards that I moderate. I have the Blademaster title there, so it's not a custom title. Stareye freed.

Ash: I agree.

I seem to remember that at least one of Shipwrecked's betatesters claimed it to be (much?) better than Nephilim Mystery. But if the combat's the same in both scenarios then I for one would not want to see Shipwrecked released.

As far as Magus of Cattalon: The absolutely final release date is the 9th of January and the earliest is when I get the two missing intro pics from my incredibly busy (and talented) artist.

I was also hoping to release a short scenario before the 9th of January but that's probably not going to happen and after that date my computer access will be severely limited for several months.

What did he ask for in return? Could he free other people?

I'd like to see Shipwrecked released, as long as it's playable.

Armageddon, I think. More than that, I can't say. ;)

This is a contradiction in terms. You can't have "Shipwrecked" and "playable" in the same sentence, or else the sheer power of the contradiction will detonate the universe.
