This was the most depressing winter around here evar. It doesn't help one bit that I've read that, globally, this winter's been the coldest in 20 years or so. Ours has been the warmest since... ever. Give us back our snow, you Yankee bastards! Now lessee... Right now I'm rereading A Song of Ice and Fire. Right now I'm in A Storm of Swords. In the last few months I've read at least: The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie (which was an okay first book of yet another fantasy trilogy with good characters and dark humor, but a weakish overall plot.) Domes of Fire by David Eddings (because I hadn't read anything by Eddings before. I was not impressed) A Crown of Swords by Robert Jordan (I'm pleased to report that absolutely nothing happened in it!) Making Money by Terry Pratchett (It was okay, I guess.) I also might have finished rere(possibly-re)reading the Prince of Nothing trilogy by R Scott Bakker (Things still didn't turn out well for Drusas or Cnaiur.) That about covers what I've been reading (excluding school-related reading) since December. -------------------- Some of these BoA scenarios might be good: Backwater Calls, Magus of Cattalon, Rats Aplenty, Outpost Valley Get them here Visit Shadow Vale for all your rating needs. I'm almost done with "The Shadow Rising" by Robert Jordan. I'm curious: was the Wheel of Time series supposed to get really boring in this novel or the next, because I've found "The Shadow Rising" at least readable. Before that I read "Babylon 5: Legions of Fire - The Long Night of Centauri Prime" which is (a horrible name for a book and) book one of a trilogy meant for cashing in on the fans of the series. Since I sort of already knew what would happen, I was hoping it would have at least been particularly well-written and it wasn't. -------------------- Some of these BoA scenarios might be good: Backwater Calls, Magus of Cattalon, Rats Aplenty, Outpost Valley Get them here Visit The Lyceum for all your rating needs. 1) The shiny object is the special item you get when you walk to the pile of rubble near the chitrachs in the rat caverns (Under lost city). 2) There's a secret passage in the wall near the garden shed. It's in the readme. And now it's here: simop (at) mbnet.fi. Without the spaces and whatnot of course. Edit: Thralni! Remember to compress it. Windows likes to destroy cmg files if they are uncompressed. The Wall Ogres generally dwell in an urban habitat. I guess that's enough effort for this little scenario. Outpost Valley, the scenario I made for the 24-hour contest, has been ironed for bugs and typos and is now available for the masses... that use Windows, as I realized that no-one, I say no-one, bothered to make the cmg-file for the mac judges of the contest. This means that the judges who did not bother to make the file on their own did not get to marvel on the awesome custom graphics I stole... made for Outpost Valley! Clearly this was an attempt on Lazarus' part to hurt the score of Outpost Valley thus ensuring his triple victory! Lazarus, J'accuse! ... lolololololololol -------------------- Some of these BoA scenarios might be good: Backwater Calls, Magus of Cattalon, Rats Aplenty Get them here Visit The Lyceum for all your rating needs. It doesn't really matter, though, since I only wanted to see if I can make something resembling a scenario in 24 hours. Done. With fifteen minutes to spare. The only problem is that the town design sucks, the dialog's crappy, the name's a joke, it's probably riddled with bugs and typos and our good friends hack and slash are in it. Ugh. Milu, enjoy your sleepless nights. quote:They are? Man, then I know I'm dumb (can't vouch for Redstart, though). How do you install the scenarios? I've got a bunch of them in the "BLADSCEN" folder like the Valley of Dying Things and one in its own folder. Then I have one in the main game folder, one in the "BLSCENED" folder and OBoE still claims that there are no scenarios installed when I press the Custom Scenario button. -------------------- These are my scenarios. How about that! Spiderwebs's tables have been updated. This means that Amnesia, Frostbite, Rats Aplenty and a new mystery scenario entitled Foul Hordes can be found at the Untried Scenario Page. After playing Foul Hordes for a while I can safely say that it puts Nephilim Mystery and Undead Valley to shame. Huzzah! -------------------- These are my scenarios.
