How about that! Spiderwebs's tables have been updated. This means that Amnesia, Frostbite, Rats Aplenty and a new mystery scenario entitled Foul Hordes can be found at the Untried Scenario Page. After playing Foul Hordes for a while I can safely say that it puts Nephilim Mystery and Undead Valley to shame. Huzzah!

These are my scenarios. I may have too much free time but I really don't care.

I will be playing Fould Hordes as soon as I can... It's exactly because I never heard of the designer that I want to play it. Extra unkown scenarios are ever so delightfull.

But oh god... It's a Vahnatai scenario it seems... From the "vital background" file:

quote:
Before the Dorin Hills were settled, they were inhabited by Vahnatai. When the Empire came, they took no hesitation in killing everyone who dared oppose them. There was a dreadful battle in which more than ten thousand Vahnatai and humans fought against each other. All the Vahnatai were slaughtered, save for a precious few led by Radzak-Ihrno. They sealed themselves in a deep cavern. (...) Radzak-Ihrno grew gradually crazier over the years, eventually degrading to the point where he unleashed hordes of monsters upon the land. Goblins and nephil, mainly, but still enough to destroy some of the less heavily-fortified Empire settlements.

You were hired to eliminate this menace.
*sigh*

EDIT: How nice, my scenario is rated a "3.8" on the scenario table, but it has no user reviews. How did it earn that mark, then?

Well Exodus has a 4.0, but it was never even on the Untried and Untested I don't think.

Wow, Foul Hordes is indeed as impressive as Smoo promised.

You're forgetting that Spiderweb rates scenarios on a basis of 1-5, not 1-10.

Maybe Jeff himself played the scenario and gave it that score?

I think the most likely scenario is that there were reviews for AGB, WTRM, Dilecia and EoR, but Jeff simply didn't put them up. It seems unlikely otherwise that he'd put them in the 'proper' order (by which I mean the order the contest judges and folks at CSR ranked them.)

It seems doubtful that he had any reviews of Exodus, since it wasn't even on the tables. Maybe Jeff, having played Bahs and LP and having an idea of the quality of Kel's scenarios, just decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and put Exodus on the quality table.

I look forward to critiquing them all in the next few weeks.
-evil smile-

...
Now, I just have to figure out how to get the new stuff over to my PC...
:(

EDIT: -Looks at tables- Ooh. Finally, another scenario for my original party to... violate shamelessly.
And I've got the transfer figured out. Tee hee.

Ah. Another scenario to send my lvl 100 party through. I wonder who this person is, though.

And it reminds me... I need to send SoG to Jeff.

EDIT: Sweet, EoR's on the quality list.

EDIT2: The presence of the script 'genericboss.txt' scares me.

You don't need it. My L50 party had an incredibly easy time thus far. That said, after two hours of wandering massive empty outdoors with randomly placed terrain and floors, I gave up. But the combat wasn't hard.

No. Thus far, the descriptions haven't even come close. It's that bad.
