Congrats and good luck, Milu.

Announcement: The Knight's Tale is complete (six hours late, but we'll take it. We're not being real strict with the time limit btw, so don't feel like clearing a 24 hour block of time is a barrier to entry. If you want to keep to the time limit but spread it across the week, that's fine. The time limit should be something fun the designer imposes on him/herself, not something to keep you from participating)

Anyhow this brings our total to 2 scenarios. The Knight's Tale by yours truly, and IMAGINE THIS SCENARIO by TM. At the very least we'll have a competition! :P

Yay Milu! Best of luck!

I'll probably clock in early tomorrow. And then, well... we'll see.

:D for Milu!

Blades Invaders is virtually complete (actually, it was virtually complete a couple hours after I started it). I'll change a creature script after work tomorrow so some of the Invaders will try to out-manoeuvre the party, and then it will be ready to join Proving Grounds and Blades of Rogue.

Then Nethergate, then the story scenario I had originally intended to do on Friday evening. Something tells me it won't be as easy to complete as this whipped-together thing.

Done. With fifteen minutes to spare. The only problem is that the town design sucks, the dialog's crappy, the name's a joke, it's probably riddled with bugs and typos and our good friends hack and slash are in it. Ugh.

Milu, enjoy your sleepless nights.

The Merchant's Tale is also complete. I submitted it last night, and I'm putting the final touches on the final version right now.

Smoo, you can work on improving that kind of stuff up until Wednsday (When judging begins.) Beta period isn't limited to just bug fixes, you can polish too.

Yes, well... I'm going to be in Germany for the beta period. No BoA access at all. I'll leave tomorrow and come back on Wednesday. It doesn't really matter, though, since I only wanted to see if I can make something resembling a scenario in 24 hours.

(I forgot to whine about how it's not very original too.)

You know, personally, after working on Darkness for 19 straight hours, I'm almost inclined to leave it as is.

Alright, there is something awesome about a festival solely devoted to the concept of eating as many types of food as possible.

But I digress. Blades Invaders is clocked in. Should an open beta start?

The story scenario will span from when I get home Friday to 10 PM MST Saturday (I'll be gone all of Saturday afternoon). No promises.

EDIT: What's up with the BoA random number generator?

I don't think it's very uniform, though it's not horribly bad. It's hard for me to test, both because of variable size and BoA 'detection' of infinite loops. It doesn't really matter in this case: if all the monsters spawn on one side, consider it a tactical challenge. ;)

And I didn't stuff my face... I was only informed of the plan to go after I have a big lunch. Ah, well. Let's see, there was jambalaya, fries made out of sweet potatoes, beef and wasabi on a bun, sauted garlic chicken, green tea ice cream, prime rib, cajun chicken alfredo...

I may not be able to make it by midnight EST (working from 6 AM to 6 AM is a bit tricky)... Does the entire 24 hour span have to lie within the week, or can I start in such a way that my 24 hour span is over a few hours past midnight?

I personally wouldn't mind, and I seriously doubt that anyone else will.

Oh, and 6am to 6am isn't any more ridiculous than 12pm to 12pm.

*Looks at the calendar.* It's the 28th and I'm in St Petersburg, so I donb't submit anything. On the bright side though, during this Rencontre Assyriologique internationale I have managed to near completion of the Nephil language (whose name will change to the equivalent in the Nephil language once I remember what it was), and I have been gathering some things for the next and probably last installment of the TNS series (as some of you know, it consists of two parts). It might sound strange that I'm already gathering ideas for the next TNS scenario when the first isn't even finished, but in my opinion it's never too early to start planning a scenario.

Fans of Babylonian and Sumerian society will probably like TNS: Homeland (working title).

Er, nope. Really, I have to live sometimes, and even if I were able to do it time-wise (it'd be my second completed scenario; I'm a BoA noob), or the plot was good (unfortunately, the problem with ideas hatched at 3 AM is that they no longer work on the next morning), stuffing my schedule is only going to give me more sleep deprivation.

And done.

Aw crud. I forgot about timezones. Well, I leave it to the judges to sort out what do do with it. And I only spent about 16 hours working anyway. Stupid interruptions like meals.
