Flavor of donut: Never ate one. Spell circle in Nethergate: I have no idea. I'll just choose spirit, and blame somebody else when I get screamed at for choosing the wrong one. Nationality of jumping bean: And that is? Animal to keep as a pet: Cat. Just a house cat, no tiger. Goal in life: Win the Nobel prize for Biology? That is, granted that Thuryl won't get it first :P [ Thursday, June 22, 2006 05:03: Message edited by: Mc 'mini' Thralni ] -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Mac users, if they didn't throw away the cmg file, will be able to download the windows version too, and simply put the cmg file in the scenario folder. Don't be surprised that Windows sees the cmg file as corrupted, as I got the same when betatesting MoC. Smoo got a corrupted cmg file. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! Talking about cheap Russian beers, I was in Budapest just two weeks ago, and there you have this beer which you, not only get in huge quatities (0.5 L per bottle), but its also very strong. You pay, in the4 supermarket, probably not more then 300 Forinten a bottle, which is about 1,25 euros, which is probably 1 dollar, though these are just estimations. God, did I drank much in those five days... I became seriously tipsy, almost drunk, from only 3 beers (and some champagne...). -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. quote:I wanted to add to this, that humans are not the only ones who marry with eachother. There are some animals which do the same .Okay, they are not registered at the nearest tree-trunc, but they stay together for eternity: literally, until death seperates them. Its, as Ephesos said, a purely biological thing to do in the benefit of the species. With a nice word they call this: improving your own "fitness," fitness meaning, in this context, making the chances greater that your own genes are preserved. That is something we all want, no? I used to collect stamps... Heck, I collected everything I set eyes on when I was 8. Also Winebottlecorks, shells, model airplanes (which i put together myself) and you could go on like that for some time. Half of this stuff probably lies on some heap of garbage on a landfill. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Well, apart from the fact that it could get your old grand mother a heart attack, its for the president in office (Bush at the moment), a very wise thing to do, politically spoken. He'll have masses of people which agree with him and he will need that if he wants to stay in office. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. No, Thuryl, you are not. You are only incoherent for the part of the members which doesn't really care to understand what you say. If they would want to understand it, they would probably try harder to understand it. All the times that Stareye started about magnetisme and all the physics stuff and such, I didn't really try to understand it (unless when it actually interested me), so naturally I didn't understand it. And I agree with Tyran. I hate (any) church, with a passion. This for the simple reason that they control people's minds and deprive them of knowing what is the real thing that gets this world rolling. But I don't want to make this into an other of those religious arguments. Sorry for getting all diverted from the real subject. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! quote:I can think of two fairly logical explanations for this (Why christians believe this): 1) The church simply made it a sin, as the church said quite some things (in my opinion) which are simply *cough* bull****; 2) It may be something that our very early ancestors already disapproved from. I don't know this and I also don't really believe in this. Maybe we can ask a biologist about what he thinks: can this be an inherited thing or not? Thuryl? IC: Filbert had walked down the tunnel for a few minutes now. It had seemed like ages. The ice was all around him, making him feel like an animal in his cage. He suddenly haled and looked behinf him. The noises of footsteps started to intrude in his thoughts. Asif made of stone, he kept standing where he was. A shadow suddenly appeared around the corner, and a voice: "Filbert!" What the hell! Tuulentekija, barely coping with the amount of wounds he had sustained, had just appeared around the corner. he was running, trying to catch up with Filbert. Surprised Filbert looked at him, and then walked at him. "Tuulentekija! I'm so glad to see you!" Filbert looked him over, and came to the conclusion that Tuulentekija was in quite a bad state. Maybe I should help him... He grabbed the ring in back pack, but didn't pull it out. Tuulentekija looed at Filbert, while Filbert stood in that awkward position. Shall I use the ring, or not... -------------------- My webpage in all its anti-glory. the only place where you could be able to download my scenario, if it weren't in beta yet. OOC: Thanks. IC: Filbert looked at the others. Who said I wanted to give Cain that ring. I thought of giving it to Tuulentekija! Oh well, I'll leave it and just use it myself, for as long as its power lasts. He looked at the ring, and decided it would be best to not use it right now. he put the ring back where it came from, his backpack, and looked at the others. cain, Edith, Tuulentekija. They were all silent. "And what now? I'm not waiting here. I want to know what this is all about. If you want to come, fine, but I'm leaving now." The lot stared at Filbert with surprise. Nobody responded. Ugh. Of course, its me who is saying this. If it were that blasted druid, they would follow him without a question! He turned around and crossed the rune. he started climbing the stairs. It was a dark, but not very cold place. the ice made meaningfull noises upon stepping on it. He looked once again back. The party was still staring at him. Let them be. I'm going. He climbed the stairs further, and walked on, until he came to a place where the caverns seem to split. He halted and thought. he didn't have any inner strength, nor an inner power, so he figured he'd have to find some way of going the right way by activating that grey mass in his head. I wonder if demons have brains... He halted and thought. If I were a demon, where would I go. All passaseges are at the same level. Maybe if I can find traces of the others, then I can see where they went! Smiling he sat down, and studied the ground carefully. Looking closely, he discovered the faint foorprints of some being. The ice, made by Sequoia upon passing this place, made possible to see at least some kind of track. He decided to follow these tracks. he got up and walked away, leaving three branches in the form or a small arrow, pointing at the passage he went into. If any of these three is going to follow me, this will help them come my way, I hope. He departed, leaving the others behind... For now. OOC: As I understand it now, Tuulentekija, melora, edith and Filbert are not anymore in that chamber, but up the stairs where the cavern splits in three. Is that correct? -------------------- My webpage in all its anti-glory. the only place where you could be able to download my scenario, if it weren't in beta yet. People, I really, honestly, don't want to put any pressure on you, but in a week I'll start with correcting and updating the scenario, and until now I got two full reports, and about three incomplete reports. I would like to have these reports next week, best would be the complete versions. If you can't send a complete version (or you don't think it will be complete by that time), then send what you have, so I at least can do something. Also, I only got two or three replies to my emails. I'm still waiting for the others... -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! i have done things like this in this fashion all my life. once i start, i see what happens. Some people can do that, and some people can't. I just hate to be bound to ideas, rules and laws which i set for myself, not enabling me to give my creativity its own life. of course I do have to know to some extent what i want to do, but for the largest part I don't really know what I'm going to do. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Its very good that you ask this, you know. I had planned my scenario's plot into the detail. I had planned how the quests should be, who gave them, etc. Then I started designing. About 5% of what I planned actually came into the scenario, the rest got erased altogether. What I just want to say with this, is that its good to plan everything, but it isn't very necessary, strictly speaking. Of course it makes eferything just a bit harder and it will take a bit more time, but it will also make everything nicer, and give you more in fun during the process of designing, in my opinion. During designing I carefully note all SDFs, and also any hidden groups. Quests and such are already documented in the scenario script, so that won't be very necessary. Of Towns I usually have a very clear picture in my head, which I then rebuild in the editor. The only thing you must be very careful with (which I wasn't able to resist) when you follow the mthod of "planning while designing," is that you might get very anxious to make everything bigger and more elaborate. That's what happened to me. True, I finished the scenario and its now in beta, but at what cost? Whole vacations of slaving away at scripting all my "good" ideas. Please, don't let it happen to you. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek!
