I believe the community as a whole is trying to figure out what's going wrong with that scenario, as well as who actually has a working version. Also, what do you mean by "freezing up"? Specifically. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead. With a passion. Alright everybody... as the November deadline approaches for this scenario contest, I've found my current hoard of graphics to be a bit lacking. So, what I'm looking for is a full-height tree, in the same style as those by Joaquin Soto. These are the original images, cleaned up a bit from their original messy jpeg format. So, if anybody can make a two-icon tree that resembles those (ideally, more than one), I'll be eternally grateful. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I also agree with *i and Dikiyoba, though I have a slight preference for some Avernum tie-in. I like thinking that my party could have actually completed all of these quests without trans-dimensional travel. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. Try an all-magic-users party. It's very satisfying, and it got me to try a second run... granted, not past Fort Remote. Having two priests with RETRIBUTION!!!!!!!!! really makes things fun. Um... I think I know what's going on. If you've been using the same save game file to test the item each time, make a new one. Granted, this would mean a bit of extra work to get back to wherever the item in question it, but it should make the key show up. This happened to me once or twice in testing my stuff... had to leave some testing shortcuts embedded in early versions so I could skip around a bit. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. The gorgon graphic is sadly lacking... it just doesn't look terrifying enough for something that can petrify you (or at least should be able to). And of course, slith avatars look like gorgons... so are gorgons really horrible slith/basilisk hybrids? -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. Gah, I'd remove the contrived plot device of "proving yourself" from DoK. And I'd have done an actual round of beta testing... and I would've smoothed out the look of the Upper Temple so that it looked a bit more tree-like. Oh, and I'd have looked for more interesting trees, like I always do. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead. Hm... since this thread seems to have persisted quite nicely (read: I finally discovered it, and need to read everything again before commenting), I'll contribute. I've got two bits of writing here. The first is a story that I'm rather proud of, and I might go ahead and upload another that I had to write for the same class (come to think of it, I've got like two or three more). The second one... well, it was also for that class, but it was an odd assignment. In the end, it turned out like a piece of Spidweb fanfanfic, back before Aran became a mod (shocking that such a time ever existed). Bash away. :D -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead. With a passion. I just finished reading Magic for Beginners, a collection of short stories by Kelly Link... it was for a class, but it was absolutely amazing stuff... best I've read in quite a while. In fact, the class I had to read it for might be the best class I've had in quite a while. -------------------- TM: "I want BoA to grow. Evolve where the food ladder has rungs to be reached." You've also got a block_entry(1) call in there. In my experience, those make cutscenes behave strangely, particularly when you're marching the party around. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead.
