I drew a picture of a Slith Warrior 6 years ago. When I find it, I'll scan it and put it up. -------------------- You acquire an item: Radio Free Foil Posts: 1169 | Registered: Monday, September 23 2002 07:00 |

Right, Dikiyoba's post reminded me that I hadn't added anything new since the last one of these threads. So... I added another story. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead. With a passion. Posts: 4130 | Registered: Friday, March 26 2004 08:00 |

I loved the poem :P -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? *Name by Slarty, so blame him if it's filthy... Hallo everynyun! Howah you? Whysank you! Oh my gah! It's a more advanced version of my Aeris (VGCats) picture! The description is below the image! Also that quote is from http://azumangomg.ytmnd.com. Maybe I should actually watch the show someday. =^.^=; Now it's time to go back and learn the basics that I didn't before, so that I can improve! I was going to bump this anyway, but it was done for me :) This next poem is something I just wrote... It's drawing on a lot of things, but mostly the Moors Murders. Wiki it if you don't know the story. It takes a slightly different slant than you may think though... Carried gently to a field, And rested in an earthen bed. A stream of soil is slowly poured Over sleeping children’s heads; A quilt of earth to warm the dead. Emerald forests, and flowered paths; These the playgrounds of the past. But the children cannot leave, Their shallow graves beneath the grass Trapped in graves, but warm at last. Tears may fall, and leaves will follow And still the children fade. Lying still in mounds of dirt Below the forest shade Lying still, and frozen in time, And gone from England’s mind. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? *Name by Slarty, so blame him if it's filthy... Posts: 2864 | Registered: Monday, September 8 2003 07:00 |

Forgive me reviving this thread, but meh. I have things I wish to share :) Demure ballads, humming lowly Leaning back, and sighing slowly. Reclining on a pressed-red quilt, Speaking softly of our guilt, Of my guilt, and how you felt; The look that caused my heart to melt. The day you stood and packed and left, That day you pulled a lover’s theft. Oh, but God, I love you. Mocking voices in my head, Each one cursing, screaming death, Dressed in doctor’s white apparel, Staring blindly down a barrel, Crying, crashing, at your feet, Standing tall with grief to mete, The doorway to the wide world calls, Past a hall of traps and falls, Oh, but God, I loved you. This interlude between the acts, Stirs the soul to Faustian pacts, The light above blinks twice off/on The pictures of my mind are gone. Eyes flick open, quilt beneath, Tears stain my plaid white sleeve, And from this room, and its grey master, I fly with haste, not fast but faster. Hey all, I've got another story! Any sort of feedback would be appreciated, since it's going to be workshopped in a class rather soon. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. Bilbo-ish. "I am going now. I bid you all a very fond farewell." I loved it. You described the character in so much detail (even though I didn't quite get where you were going with the mysticism/"real magic"/dead Seer - that was left a bit open, but perhaps that's better). -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. Was it really necessary to name him Mr. Gray? I mean, you could have made the reference less obvious. [ Tuesday, October 24, 2006 23:20: Message edited by: Thuryl ] -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Thanks for the encouragement, Aran. I think I'm going to submit it as is... and then try suffer the slings and arrows of the workshop gracefully. But any feedback is still appreciated. quote:Perhaps I am just ignorant, but what's the allusion? I say reword the 'fond farewell' line. It may not be intentionally Bilbo-ish, but it comes across as if it was. Otherwise, very good. And make it Mr. Grey. Please? -------------------- Piet van Oostrum: I find this a nice feature but it is not according to the documentation. Or is it a BUG? Larry Wall: Let's call it an accidental feature. quote:Drat. Did it come across as a Dorian Gray reference? Because if it did... Drat. The spamful rebirth of these boards Is quite a beauty to behold. The multitude of useless posts Is a nice break from quiet mold. With lots of flaring debates, From voting polls to ethics threads, There is not a moment left Of silence Aran so dreads. All kinds of different picture threads Our bandwidth can consume. Even after the spamfest's done, Not soon will quietness resume. More surveys came in last three weeks Than we've seen in three months before. From our dreams to ice cream tastes All you want to learn, and much more. And necroing of older threads Makes boards look even more alive. The eerie glow of un-death Brings new light into our lives. Someone asked for posts on this thread. You’ve asked and now you've received. Although I very greatly doubt This is the sort that you've conceived. :P -------------------- Be careful with a word, as you would with a sword, For it too has the power to kill.
