Go nuts. Send it to nottmforestweloveu (at) yahoo.co.uk

I'll try to be gentle!!

Actually, it's great to talk to fellow musicians. I'll have to try and record some of my stuff - it's alternative rock - ish, but played acoustically...

Unique is how I define it!

The original does sound much, much, better actually. I didn't actually "giggle" though. I'm not a giggly person.

I compose music using my old battered acoustic guitar. I just strum tunes on it, and write them down if I like them.

Then I add my lyrics to them, which I write beforehand. And viola!

Hawkes Manse or House on a Hill has it, if IRC.

The faq should tell you the specifics.

Oh, and welcome to Spiderweb! Leave your sanity at the door, and try not to take anything too seriously!

EDIT: Who knew "sanity" had an "a"?

AA: read tutorials, steal ideas from Jeff's scripts, and remember - dialog sucks.

That should help!

I have it on good authority that light is a wave. Why that gives it more energy (or even ANY energy) is beyond my comprehension.

I think the cutscene would be much better. And how about having your character not see it? And not even have it reported? It would build up tension, and could even be used as a kind of plot device - imagine your ally yourslef with someone who's working with the bad guys...

Yellow makes my eyes hurt, unless it's not offensively bright. I think I'd have an headache after just 5 minutes Ben. Couldn't you kinda tone it down a little, maybe use a pastel shade of yellow?

If this is A1, you need to go to The Tower of Magi and speak to Kelner. Before you can do this, you need to know what afflicts the tower. Say it's name to Kelner, and he'll tell you where you can get the password.

The only save file I have is just before I headed to Sharimik for the first time. And I only have that because that's where I got to before starting "Where Bluebirds Fly".

I'd probably break into Morrissey's house and steal some of his songs, since he has most of the original masters at home.

Either that, or do something romantic and lovely. That way, if it all goes terribly wrong, everything would be okay, and I'd get away with embarrassing myself, or having people hate me.

Alas, 'tis not a stick-figure drawing! AA, all artists go through a period of experimentation, but don't forget what the people like...

I don't have scary dreams. At all. I've never woken up thinking "Thank the Gods I managed to escape that terryifing piece of cheese" or whatever. And, I dunno. Part of me feels sad for that.

All my dreams seem to involve some kind of journey or adventure. But since it's lucid, I have some kind of conscious control over it, and so never get scared, even if a scary thing should happen. I can think to myself, in the dream, "hey, I don't want to deal with that", and the whole dream changes. I don't know how or why, or even if it's common. Can any of you do it?

I remember telling my psychology teacher that he was wrong when he said we have no control over dreams last year. I told him that I do. And he didn't believe me - he said that it was really rare, like, uber-rare. And the hardest thing is, since there's no evidence either way, most people think you're lying.

Either you're incredibly talented, or you've made some kind of mistake. A terrible, terrible, mistake. I'm gonna avoid cynicism here, and say it's a typo. Although deep down, I'm frowning at you...

As for ellipses... I gather I'm using them correctly? If I'm not, my English teacher (should she know) would probably introduce me to some kind of dicing machine.

And I still have one or two "real" floppy disks that I got from my uncle. Unfortunately, I have no idea what they contain, since I have no way of reading the data contained on them.

I'll quickly hail back to the E=mc^2 thing. Knowing the variables probably would help. But having a mind that is able to comprehend any kind of physics apart from basic elementary stuff would help more.

Chlorodyne sounds kinda like death-in-a-bottle. I'm sure consuming all those things at once caused the deaths, instead of just one ingrediant taking all the credit.

As a maybe slightly complicated work-around to give the NPC an inventory and experince, you could use calls and special abilites.

So, suppose you want to give the NPC an inventory. Just make a special ability which calls up a shop window, filled with the items you want them to have. That way, the party can take things from them, or give them things. You'd have to make sure to give the gold back afterwards, or make items with very little value (maybe 1gp?).

To give experience, why not increase the level of the joining NPC to keep in line with the parties. So, in the scenario's START_STATE, have a call that records the parties level every 20 or so ticks, and updates the NPC's as necessary. It's not perfect, but...
