Arancaytar, I'll try and save the topic with something intelligent, although coming from the sugar-hyped individual I have just become, it'll be hard... Okay, so I already blew a wish on being invisible. My second one is wisdom. Amazing wisdom. I'd like the wisdom to be able to carry out my third wish, which is: To have the ability to be able grant wishes to other people. That way, I'd be able to stop people (okay, idiots), from wishing for things like "a million dollars" or "a sandwich" or "a cuddly toy". My reasoning is thus: whilst money and sandwiches are nice (especially if either have banana fillings), people in other places need those wishes more than you. And whilst it is socialist, and thus has some fairness issues, by using my wisdom, I'd be able to make the world a lot fairer. And whilst that might mean Alorael has to fix his own sandwich, or Arancaytar can't cast magic spells, people in places with little food and lots of poverty would benefit. -------------------- Everybody knows, but nobody understands. quote:I hope that remark wasn't aimed at me Aran! ;) Actually, a lot of you should see my post rate slowing down now - I'll have hit my high - due to the necessities of college. On my first day back (Wednesday), I managed to get two essays, a series of short-answer questions, and my oursework assignment. And things can only get worse... -------------------- "I am a living sign..." Thus endeth this post. Posts: 2864 | Registered: Monday, September 8 2003 07:00 |

Since I am practically perfect in every way, I need not these wishes. However, should the opportunity arise, I should like to be able to turn invisible, to avoid having to do stupid market research questions. On the way to school today, I got stopped twice! -------------------- Everybody knows, but nobody understands. Thus endeth this post. Posts: 2864 | Registered: Monday, September 8 2003 07:00 |

For A), I selected one, although I can think of two... Definately less than ten though. And perhaps even less then 5. For part B), I selected none. Random people might include the people I love, however few they are, and I'm not willing to take that chance. -------------------- "I am a living sign..." Thus endeth this post. quote:Not likely. Jeff needs to limit file size, since the only way for people to get his games is via a download. If he added music, that'd increase file size, and lots of 56k users might be put off. Plus, he'd probably have to pay a composer/musician to play it for him. And Spiderweb is a business, intent on profit-maximisation. -------------------- "I am a living sign..." Thus endeth this post. Posts: 2864 | Registered: Monday, September 8 2003 07:00 |

I just use a bog-standard scientific calculater. It amazingly helped me through all my exams, so I was chuffed. And since I remember formulae quite well, (well, good enough for GCSE and AS level), I didn't need some amazing-do-it-all-firework-producing-pocket-computer to do it for me. Still, these things sound handy. -------------------- Everybody knows, but nobody understands. Thus endeth this post. Posts: 2864 | Registered: Monday, September 8 2003 07:00 |

For future reference, doesn't Unlock doors break that lock? I'm sure I got through the last door without a key. quote:Nah, I'm a PC user alright, but the Geneforge graphics aren't backwards compatible with those from Avernum are they? I mean, they have all the extra fancy things. I'll have to petition Jeff. Or just lump it. Oh, and the movement sounds great. If I've got it right. 2) If I remember correctly, you need 8 strength. It might be 10 though... one or the other. 3) You need Unlock Doors at level 3. And I think there might be a barrier behind it, so Dispell Barrier or a pierceing crystal will be helpful too. Not entirely sure about the barrier though - it's been a while. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? quote:Doth my eyes decieve me. Spam? Ok, Kelandon, I have a question. How do you keep track of where each cutscene is going. For individual one-on-one talking scenes, it's easy, but when lots of characters are on screen at once it's a nightmare. I tried using some graph paper, and just planning it out before hand, but no cigar. I just got more confused. Do you have any tips? -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? An imbalance of elements weithin the body (Greek elements, i.e Wtaer, Fire, Air and Earth) caused all illness. So, if you had asthama, you didn't have enough air, so you had to breath in fresh mountain air. I am not against guns. Heck, I think that sometimes, being able to defend yourself is a good thing, no matter what you use. I don't like guns because of the power it would place in my hands. And I might be tempted to try it out. I just don't see the point though. And besides, I live in a nice area. I'm never gonna need to defend myself. -------------------- "I am a living sign..."
