Isn't it interesting that the top two scenarios have fatal bugs? -------------------- "At times discretion should be thrown aside, and with the foolish we should play the fool." - Menander ==== Drakefyre's Demesne - Happy Happy Joy Joy Encyclopedia Ermariana - Trapped in the Closet ==== You can take my Mac when you pry my cold, dead fingers off the mouse! A fatal bug is one that makes winning impossible? Because I sure completed Bahssikava, and I'm definitely not the only one... -------------------- Encyclopaedia • Archives • Members • RSS [Topic / Forum] • Blog • Polaris • NaNoWriMo Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair. What was MA's fatal bug? Unless you mean in Ivalice (the town) where one string is too long... I kinda changed that to make it work... -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? EVERY scenario has fatal bugs. That's the problem with BoA. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Bahssikava, Bahssikava, Bahssikava, come on everybody! Sing it with me! :D Bahssikava, Bahssikava, Bahssikava, Bahssikava, Bahssikava, Bahssikava... Can't wait for Exodus. I KNEW there would be a sequel! :D :) :) :) Applause and congratulations (but most of all applause) for your frighteningly wonderful games! They're so good, you could probably sell them to people even though it's illegal. :) :D :D -------------------- "Sometimes I get all hungry! And then I catch some flies! They fly into my webs! The only thing I fear of after readinf the description of Exodus, is the "time limit" piece. I'm not so sure I would like an other (allbeit improved) Zha-kazi run. I'm still waiting for it to come out. I love to see how other designers design their scenario's :P -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. A cop out? Drakey, wtf? (For the record, I have fixed every reported bug that I can replicate. The Fly-Retreat bug is the only one I haven't managed to fix.) Thralni: There will be no time limit. This is a response to the failures of ZKR, not an attempt to replicate them. :P [ Monday, September 05, 2005 09:26: Message edited by: Kelandon ] -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. It's not necessarily directed at you, but at all other designers who haven't fixed bugs. Saying that the program is fundamentally flawed (even though it might be) instead of trying to and fixing bugs is a cop out. Since you've fixed the bugs, it just proves my point, doesn't it? -------------------- "At times discretion should be thrown aside, and with the foolish we should play the fool." - Menander ==== Drakefyre's Demesne - Happy Happy Joy Joy Encyclopedia Ermariana - Trapped in the Closet ==== You can take my Mac when you pry my cold, dead fingers off the mouse! I was saying that the scenarios end up being so complicated (and so significantly branching) that designers can't possibly test everything. We have to rely on players to report things. And sometimes players don't report things for a looooooong time. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. The fatal bug Drake is referring to occurs if you try to skip the first cutscene in Bahss. Not sure about the others. -------------------- SupaNik: Aran, you're not big enough to threaten Ash. Dammit, even JV had to think twice. Posts: 1861 | Registered: Friday, February 11 2005 08:00 |

No time limit!? YES!! Thanks kelandon! It was the one thign i really hated about ZKR. Because of it I had to run and couldn't calmly explore the towns and dungeons. I just had to run, run,run and run!! -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! That's TM. It's just that he's in writing-for-an-English-class mode instead of writing-for-the-forums mode. :P -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |
