OOC: Come on people!! The end of the RP is near!! IC: As Celisto and the others enter the room after having destroyed the few zombies that had managed to tunnel into the underground somehow and sealing up their tunnels with Magic Barriers, they find the remnants of Lynn's soldiers, her, Lavius, and a lot of slaughtered undead (pun intended). Once in the room, they can feel the tremendous power emanating from the main shrine, which, at the moment, is still hidden to them. However, that changes in an instant. Once they are all in the room. A low, grinding, almost moaning sound can be heard coming from the left wall of the room. Lynn, her soldiers, and Lavius quickly join Celisto, Oscevello, and the others. As they turn around and face the wall, it begins to slide into the floor. A blood red cloud of smoke begins wafting into the room as flashes of light can be seen through the smoke, and chanting can be heard. When the wall finally disappears into the floor, everyone is on edge. Though the red cloud is thick, they can see hundreds of candles burning away in red glass jars in the darkness, giving the room a terribly macabre reddish hue. The chanting stops abruptly, the flashes stop, and the cloud begins to dissipate slightly. Slowly a lowly figure begins to come into view through the cloud as it walks towards the group. By its side can be seen two huge Haikaas and behind it, dozens of hellish creatures of all sorts that cannot be determined because of the cloud. As the figure steps out of the horrendous mist, the Haikaas follow it. The hellish creatures, however, stay hidden in the mist. Celisto notes various things about the figure. She can make out the distinct slender figure of a woman. The woman is completely covered in brown robes and none of her features can be seen. Her robes are very distinctive in that they seem not to hinder the woman's movement whatsoever, despite the fact that they look very cumbersome and drag slightly on the ground. The robes are intertwined with various copper, silver, and gold symbols, of which Celisto and Oscevello know very well. [FLASHBACK] They are the symbols of the ancient order of Tuscombites, a group of very powerful wizards, warlocks, and witches. The clan was known for their great powers of good. But some began to practice evils and separated from the group. These evil ones became outcasts, but grew just as powerful in the evil arts as the their good colleagues grew in the divine arts. The noble ones began to fear their nether colleagues when they started making attacks on the innocent people of the land with undead and hellish creatures of the underworld. They held a meeting and brought forth a plan to rid themselves of their hellish interlopers. They planned to imprison their evil colleagues forever in an underground cavern of good energy crystals, which would prevent them from ever escaping. The plan for the most part worked. They succeeded in imprisoning them, but they hadn't counted on the cavern ever being found. Which it was on a mining expedition for the empire of Florechnia, some 2,600 years later. When the cavern was unearthed, the miners were surprised to find that it was a proverbial tomb, with long dead bodies in it. One of the ancient corpses had a spectacular robe on it that was somehow still intact, while most of the rest were only rags. This corpse had been found in the darkest and most crystal dense portion of the cavern, far away from the other bodies. It was taken to the King, who in turn had his mages and alchemists study it intensely. It was determined to be a robe from the Ancient order of Tuscombites, but was of the evil group that had been imprisoned to rid the land of their evils. The robes from the body were placed in the care of the mages and they in turn put it in a vault, to keep it safe. One of the mages however got very curious about the robe and decided to steal it for herself. She snuck it out of the castle one night and fled the kingdom with it. She must have come to this town to seek refuge and learn of its powers. [END OF FLASHBACK] This flashed over in Oscevello and Celisto's minds in a matter of seconds. In Celisto's mind, there is no doubt that Kel-Aziz would know about it as well. Seeing as he is from the Ancient Darubian Empire, which flourished much earlier. Celisto surmises that Jesitonia most likely took with her the ancient manuscripts that were also found intact in the crystal cavern. She could have relearned the great powers of the Ancient order and put them to her own uses. Then, without warning, the woman stops just outside the now recessed wall and pulls her hood back, revealing her remarkable beauty. Her hair is a fiery red color and very long. Her skin is a slightly darker hue than a normal Caucasian, but not dark enough to make her any other nationality. Her beauty itself looks almost evil impressed, as it could possibly be. Celisto and the others wait in anticipation for her to speak or make the first move. OOC: Firedrake. I will give you the honor of speaking for her. Make it a good threat towards the group and make it terrifying. You started this RP and I want you to help me finish it. Cheers. -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" OOC: Wonderful, more soldiers. IC: Schostas was sitting down at his table when Gerald's troops teleported into the room. Vincent appeared from a wall, and summoned forth the dead monks, which Schostas had burned a while ago. Now their charred, but still discernable undead remains had come out of the cellar and were entering the battle on the inn's side. Schostas could feel an almost evil energy emanating from Vincent, but it seemed dampered somehow. Shadow Wolf was busy hacking soldiers to pieces with ease. Arrow was heading for the inn to help fight off the Geraldians and the innkeeper too turned his attention back to the inn when he heard the soldiers fighting inside. Tel was busy hacking soldiers to pieces and Kris had gotten up from his table and too was helping to fight them off, though he seemed to not be too happy about it. Neris had run into the back room to escape the sudden flurry of soldiers that had appeared, and was now hiding in the innkeeper’s quarters. Schostas had just finished observing all this in less than ten seconds and already had picked up his black long sword. The soldiers for some reason didn't notice him tucked away in the shadowed corner. However, when he snuck up behind one of them and chopped the soldier in half, they couldn't help but take notice. The soldiers close to the one that was cut in half charged Schostas, but were soon mutilated in similar fashions. One soldier was beheaded in a clean, inhumanly fast swipe. Another got his arm and leg cut off in two swift motions, and then a strong thrust in the chest, quickly ending his intense suffering. And a third was impaled through the stomach and then sliced almost completely in half with one strong upwards pull of the sword after the impalement, sending blood and guts spurting everywhere. Any soldier nearby to the blood bath turned in the opposite direction of Schostas and ran, fearing they too would meet a horrific end at his hands. Schostas was left half covered in enemy blood and to anyone that could see him, he must looked like he was possessed by evil or something of the sort. Schostas looks down at his handy work and sees a piece of parchment sticking out of the beheaded soldier's pocket. He reaches down and pulls it out, being careful not to get any blood on it. He then sticks it in one of his own pockets for safekeeping. He then turns his attention back to the enemy soldiers trying to escape and with an evil grin, howls, and charges after them. OOC: That should describe my action very well. I was considering entering the portal and attacking any soldiers on the other side, but decided not to. -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" Colonel Mustard: "Yep. Two Corpses. I would still like "Detective". Just a thought. Maybe when I hit 1,000. I am not likely to hit 2,000 by 2005, as I don't really post enough. -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" OOC: Ok. I'll try. This will mark the beginning of the closing events ahead. IC: Celisto looked ahead of her at the sudden flashes coming from the room at the end of the corridor ahead. She then spots a piece of paper lying on the ground. She picks it up and sees that it is a map of the chambers of the underground temple. She turns the map over to see if there is anything on the other side. She then notices something else on the map. Strange symbols and shapes in each of the corners on the backside. She recognizes it as something similar to a page from the spell book she had tucked away in the trunk of her room. Celisto: "Oh dear god!!!! It couldn't be!! Or could it?" She starts bending the outside corners towards the center of the map and as each corner meets the center, a whole picture emerges. It is a picture of the evil shrine itself. The map was made with a very simple scheme in mind. To a trained eye, it was more than it seemed with three maps instead of two. However, to an average person, there were only two visible maps on the paper. Celisto could see its significance right away. The two maps of the shrine rooms on the front were nothing but decoys. The shrine room map formed by the folded corners was something more sinister. Celisto's eyes automatically widened when the realization of its significance became apparent to her. She turns to Oscevello and shows him the map. Right away, he sees what she sees and a grave look appears on his face. He turns to the others and speaks with a voice that is very much in earnest. Oscevello: "Oh, god!! Everyone!!! I need your attention now. Celisto found a map of the two rooms we can clearly see down here. One we are currently standing in and the other is at the other end of that corridor. That room is where some of our fighters and mages are at this very moment fighting undead of all sorts. We can only see flashes because it is a rather big room and they are fighting at the far end of it. But she discovered something more serious on the map that the others must have missed. She discovered what appears to be a hidden room adjoining that one. We must get there quickly, as I fear that they are walking into a trap. The secret hidden room is in the shape of an evil shrine and I feel the presence of Jesitonia nearby. Stand together!!! This day we will be victorious in destroying this horrifically evil woman!!! However, we must all work together! She is immensely powerful and very deadly!! Let's go!!!! Now!!!!" They start heading towards the corridor, but Celisto stops abruptly. She looks back and sees the Cryobeast and Eirik still being attended for their wounds. Celisto walks back to them and reaches into her pocket for something. Celisto: "I have a feeling I will regret this. But we need all the soldiers and fighters we can get!" She pulls a ring from her pocket with a black onyx crystal on it and slips it on. She then proceeds to close her eyes and sit down Indian Style in front of Eirik and the Cryobeast. She begins chanting some dark magic words repeatedly and the crystal on her ring begins to glow and blood red color. She repeats these words in an almost screaming pitch as she points her hands in a praying position outward towards both of the injured. Celisto: "SPIRETI ENFERNALI OBEDITI!!!!" I blood red light shoots out from her hands and envelops both the Cryobeast and Eirik. Their bodies begin to tremble and convulse insanely. She continues chanting and then open her eyes suddenly, sending forth a blinding white light that blinds everyone in the room and makes them unable to see what is happening beyond Celisto's back. Then a demonic voice takes over Celisto and begins reciting the words instead of her. Then a last pulse of eye-piercing white light is emitted from her eyes and the room goes dark again. She then falls over on her side unconscious and Oscevello runs to her. He lifts her to her feet and holds her there while he casts a recovery spell of some sort on her causing her body to glow a yellow color for a few seconds. Then she opens her eyes again and looks around. Celisto: "Ouch!!!! DAMN!!!! That spell hurts the head!! I will never get used to it!" Oscevello: "Yes, but it was worth it. Look." She looks down at the Cryobeast and Eirik, who are both beginning to stir. Soon they open their eyes, sit up, look around, and then manage to get to their feet with little difficulty. Oscevello then fills them in on all the details they had missed while they were unconscious. When he finishes, the confused looks on the faces of Eirik and the Cryobeast are gone and are now replaced with that of determination. Oscevello motions for them all to head down the corridor once again. With that, Celisto, the Cryobeast, Oscevello, Kel-Aziz, Eirik, and the others head down the corridor towards the room adjoining the still hidden main evil shrine, which they know will soon be revealed. OOC: There. That should get the end to start taking place. Now marks the beginning of the RP's finally events. Sorry for the length, but it was necessary. -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" Colonel Mustard: "Yep. Two Corpses. Everything's fine." OOC: DAMN!!! That's what I get for not checking the site sooner. Now I have to make up for lost time. I would like to be a part of the duel, but I am not sure how to go about an actual duel. My post is taking place just before Lance and Gerald leave the inn. IC: Schostas decided that now was a good time to break in. He decides to hide his true identity until the time of the duel. Schostas: "Hold it right there gentleman! I would like to take up your offer of a duel!" Lance and Gerald look over him with amazement and both begin to chuckle. They then break out in laughter and find it hard to control themselves. Schostas's mood begins to darken. He grabs his black long sword that he has propped up against the wall. In less than a second, he turns around with it and with a speed almost too fast for the common eye to see, he cleaves it very loudly through an oak table just in front of him. The table shatters in a burst of splinters and dust. When the dust and wood chips clear from the air, Lance and Gerald can see clearly that the oak table has been cleaved in two down the middle and had been broken up completely from the powerful impact from the sword. Their faces automatically grow stern and both of them get an evil grin on their faces. Schostas now has their full attention and it seems their greatest interest. Gerald, in his excitement for a challenge, is the first to speak. Gerald: "Well, well, well. We have a worthy opponent for our duel. This ought to be fun. I can't wait to tear you apart limb from limb." Gerald proceeds to walk out of the inn and to his horse. Lance, however, is rather intrigued by Schostas's display of power. Unlike Gerald, he doesn't find it to be exciting, but almost frightening instead. But like Gerald, Lance can't resist the feeling of a good challenge. The look of intrigue passes quickly from his face and is replaced b an almost evil smile. He then speaks with a rather appreciating voice. Lance: "Very well. You will be a most refreshing challenge for my brother and me. Unlike him though, I can admire your skill and audacity to challenge us. Are you sure, you don't want to join my kingdom and help me defeat him? I could use a skilled soldier like you." Schostas: "I don't think so. Thanks for the offer though. I will always relish in the memory of your kind and offering words. But I stand for the best interests of the people of this inn. In addition, I have reasons of my own for challenging the both of you. And you will discover them tomorrow." Lance gives him a look of distaste and conceit and then heads out the door of the inn to his horse. Schostas sits back down at his table and throws some coins to the bartender. Schostas: "Sorry for destroying your table like that. But it was quite necessary." The innkeeper takes the coins and gives him a smile. Schostas interprets its meaning simply as, "You had to do, what you had to do." At around this time, the dryads appear in the room having recovered from their energy drain and the bartender gets them some food. OOC: Ok. There. I am part of the duel now. I suggest that the summoned creatures around the inn be guardians for now. We might possibly be able to use them as protectors of Schostas's kingdom if he wins the duel. -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" Colonel Mustard: "Yep. Two Corpses. OOC: What exactly did you mean by my theory? I am still quite dead in the water until my character gets an answer from Kris. His answer is very important. He can give an idea as to what role Queen Sophia will be playing. After all, it was Prem and me that made that connection to the plot. Mostly Prem. I will continue to wait for an answer. IC: Schostas is now confused. First, he was awaiting an answer from Kris. Then the note and a commotion going on outside interrupted him. Now there was a newcomer and a dragon around. The dragon didn't bother him, but he felt an evil presence in the inn somewhere, though he couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Then he was called into the cellar for a meeting where Arrow was calling it, only to see him walk out and go up to his room without saying anything at all. The night air is heavy with an unknown evil presence and Schostas is very uneasy about it. He sits down at his usual seat and notices that Kris has not been attended to very well as one of the injured, since the healer became overly exhausted. Schostas feels he needs to do something. He decides to go and get an extra cloak from his room before talking to Kris, as his Queen's robes are putting everyone on edge. He goes to his room, grabs another red robe, and puts it on. Then he goes back downstairs to his table and faces Kris. Schostas: "Kris, you are still badly injured, and it looks as if I am the only one around that can help you right now. The healer is lying down from overworking himself healing the others. Would you mind taking off that armor. I can't heal through it." Kris complies and takes off his armor. Schostas can see the extent of his wounds for the first time and they are bad. The healer's last spell sealed up his wounds and stopped them from bleeding, but it didn't heal them any more than that. It was obvious to Schostas that Kris was in a lot of pain and was barely holding on to consciousness. He felt it was up to him to relieve his suffering. Schostas: "Now sit very still. I will heal your wounds the rest of the way and end your pain now." Schostas stand up slowly and puts his heads together in front of him. To Kris, it looks as if he is praying. Schostas brings his hands down still clasped and then pulls them apart and juts them out to the sides of his body. He begins chanting some strange words and a red glow envelops his body. He brings his hands out to the front of him side by side and the red light shoots from his hands and into Kris body. The red light turns yellow, then green, and than sky blue. The people in the inn can't help but watch as Kris's wounds begins healing right before their eyes. After a minute, sweat begins to appear on Schostas's brow and then the spell is finished. Kris looks up and down his body at the places where all his wounds were. They were all now gone and he was nothing short of amazed. Schostas had meanwhile sat down at his table from light-headedness and had his head down on it. The bartender decides to bring him his usual meal of seasoned chicken, noodles, and fried mushrooms. He sits it down in front of Schostas and then sets down a bottle of Mogen David wine on the table. Schostas soon lifts his head, tries to ignore his now aching head, and begins eating. He pulls out his spell book and sets it aside so he can read it when he finishes. He puts his hood over his head and he once again becomes the mysterious man of the inn once more. OOC: That should bring my character up to speed for a while. -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" Colonel Mustard: "Yep. Two Corpses. Everything's fine." I have to admit that I am completely lost for words as what in jolly America I am to do next. This RP is getting too weird for my taste. I am still waiting on Prem to respond with her post. Everyone else here seems to have forgotten that Schostas was waiting on Kris to give him an answer. I am currently relying on Prem's answer to give me an idea of what to do next. Therefore, anyone here can control my character until then. I have writer's block right now and am at a loss of words as what I should write. -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" Colonel Mustard: "Yep. Two Corpses. Everything's fine." OOC: Okay. This RP is going stale. I like this one and will post triple posts to keep it going if I have to. IC: Charlotte understood what he was saying, but had some questions for him. Charlotte: "Before we do anything, I have some questions. Exactly, who are you?" Dwarf Mayor: "Well. I will try to answer your questions. My name is Silas Akbar. I am...was the king's top general. Now the ruling position of this island has been placed on me." Charlotte: "Why did the dock have traps on it and why were the towns deserted?" Silas: "Well. I can't be too sure about the dock. I'd have to say that the people of the town did that before they left. They probably didn't want the creatures to get off of the island. As for where they went, there is a town on the other side of a mountain range where the creatures have been unable to get to. I doubt that they made it there though." Charlotte: "Why not?" Silas: "Well, they would have to pass right by the meteor, unless they went through the swamps, which is a very dangerous place. They are filled with quicksand and diseases of all sorts. No one I sent out to inspect the meteor has ever come back. That is why I sent word out to the mainland. To try to find some expert help to solve our problems. Anymore questions?" Charlotte: "Yes, I have one more. What is the deal with this strange book? It writes history as it is happening. How can that be?" Silas: "Well. That is a little bit harder to explain. We have some very skilled mages on this island. They created a book that records the history of the island as it is happening. So, if we were all killed, then there would be a record of what happened. Now..." Charlotte: "You just now mentioned some skilled mages. Where are they now?" Silas: "I am not sure. I think they are in the old monastery on the mountain. And...I hear noises above us. Maybe the others adventurers have arrived. We had better go check. You better bring that book with too." Charlotte: "I'll put it in my suitcase." The three adventurers follow Silas as he opens the door with a command and heads up the stairs nearby that lead to the cellar door. OOC: If this doesn't get it moving, nothing will. -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" Colonel Mustard: "Yep. Two Corpses. Everything's fine." OOC: Time to get this one going again. I will not let it die. IC: Celisto helps to get the injured through the opening and into the underground. Suddenly, she can hear another wave of undead approaching the shrine. Oscevello hears the same thing, and the both head towards windows to have a look at the impending horror coming towards them. They can see a huge amount of undead heading towards them. They back away from the windows and head towards the opening to the underground as the last of the soldiers and adventurers pass through it. Celisto: "We must black the windows somehow. I suggest we use our magic barrier spells. It is the only thing that will hold them for a while." Oscevello: "You are right. We must block the windows and doors and quickly. The barriers will only hold them for so long, but it will give us plenty of time to get to the underground." They both concentrate their powers and begin putting up barriers in front of doors, windows, and cracked walls. They make the barriers extra thick because they will need all the time they can get. When they finish, they can hear the zombies already battering against them. Oscevello and Celisto make a mad dash for the opening to the underground and when they are both through it, they once again create a double barrier to seal it up. They walk over to the waiting group and join them to get their bearings. OOC: Let's get this RP moving again people. -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" Colonel Mustard: "Yep. I love using Kazaa. I really don't care much about pirating issues. My view on the matter is if you are too poor to be able to go to a mall and buy music, then there is nothing wrong with using Kazaa. But if you are among the rich upper class, I think you should buy songs. I am poor, poorer than most people here. I have no access to a mall to begin with and don't have the money to spend there anyway. I use Kazaa all the time and have no misgivings about its illegality. It simply doesn't bother me. Same goes for most types of software programs that can be downloaded on the computer. Such as QuickTime Pro, Midi Editors, Icon Creator Tools, and the such. I find it pointless to have to go and buy a full version when there are cracks and serial codes out there to register it for you for free. If I were to register all the programs on my computer, my bill would be over $500.00. And I don't have that kind of money to throw around. I prefer the free method, including music. By the way, I am listening to... Our Last Summer - A-Teens Breakdown - Mariah Carey & Bone Thugs -N- Harmony -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" Colonel Mustard: "Yep. OOC: You are right Prem. But, it is exactly how I said it. I was leaving it up to the other RPers to decide the details. I thought my post was a little too broad. I didn't like it either. It was the best I could think of at such short notice. I don't know why, but I find the Lance side to be more interesting. The Gerald side just seems to be somewhat boring. We have to make a decision soon as to whom the winning side will be and I am leaning towards the Lancians. What is everyone else's position? IC: Schostas helped carry the unconscious dryads to some upstairs beds and helped to burn the remains of the monks and the Dark Wyrm. He could smell a final battle brewing in the air, and knew it wouldn't be long until the main battle commenced. While lost in thought, Schostas sits down at a table next to Kris. Then he suddenly remembers something, and Kris takes notice. Kris: "What is it noble warrior? What were you thinking about?" Schostas: "Well...I was thinking about the day of the funeral. I recall seeing some strange woman dressed all in black with a heavy black veil covering her features. She was standing beside King Gerald who was on one side of the street, while King Lance was with his wife on the other side. I figured that the veiled figure was Gerald's wife and I just remembered something else. It was hard to see through the veil, but I could have sworn that she had an evil grin on her face. But that doesn't explain why many of my fellow army men fled the kingdom overnight. Nor why they were all killed in a neighboring land the following day. I just can't see the connection of what Gerald's wife had to do with it. Maybe it did have something to do with Lance's kingdom, but I am still leaning towards Gerald's wife. Do you have a theory, Kris?" Kris sits in thought for a while. Meanwhile, the summoned creatures continue to linger around the inn and the bartender gives the order to have them fed. Arrow and Vincent have been taken to beds upstairs for healing and rest and Shadow Wolf is sitting at the counter eating a meal. OOC: Ok. Take it from there Prem. -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" Colonel Mustard: "Yep. Two Corpses. Everything's fine." OOC: I will give as good an explanation for Schostas as I can. IC: Schostas was finally calming down after going into his chaotic rage. He had various small wounds on him that were healing themselves, and the blue aurora was still around his body. It seemed permanent and his robes were putting everyone on edge. He felt that now would be a good time for an explanation. Schostas: "Well, it seems my secret is out now so I better come clean with all of you. When Queen Granst divided the kingdom, she set up a private army of fighters of her own that she kept in case of war between the brothers. The private army was not made known to either of them and they never knew about it. At least that's what she thought. I was one of the elite to be made a mage-fighter for her and she gave each of us a robe like this with some protection spells interwoven into it. This protective cloak is muffled by the use of another cloak over top of it, which is why only a dim aurora could be seen around my body at night. You can see the aurora of protection around me now and saw how it works while I was fighting the Dark Wyrm and getting acid all over myself. And as for my reputation as a killer, every now and then she would send us out on a mission to rid the land of various creatures that were attacking it and she believed they were created by one of the brothers, if not both. I was one of the best at killing these creatures. It was when returning from one of these missions that I learned that she had died and for some odd reason, the rest of her private army had vanished overnight, leaving only a few others and me. I discovered that she had not died naturally. When I saw her body on the day of the funeral, it was clear to me that she was the victim of a poisoning. It was all hunched up and she had a strange grin on her face. It was clear that she had been killed by strychnine poison. I was determined to live by my vow of protection and avenge her death. I changed my identity and started wearing the red cloak, you saw earlier, and the other private army men still around did much the same and blended into society much as I did. I was the only one though, who did not reject his destiny to destroy the evil kingdom. I later found out that one of the two kingdoms had been plotting against her and was responsible for her death. And later I discovered that her private army had been wiped out in a nearby land. I had been told a traitor in the army had told the evil brother about them and he had sent out assassins to kill them. I figured the best thing to do was bide my time doing odd quests and earning myself a reputation as a killer without the use of my magic for many years until an opportunity to get my revenge presented itself. It had been so long since I last cast a spell that I was surprised when I did so well after trying it again only a few days ago when this battle had started. I decided that now was the best time to get my revenge on that kingdom. Now is the time of survival of the true good kingdom. This battle will be judgment day for the evil one." Kris: "And which kingdom was responsible for all those evil things?" Schostas: "I am sorry to say that it was the kingdom you were serving under. Gerald's Kingdom, which is not the Kingdom of Truth. It is the Kingdom of lies, evil, and betrayal. You got out just in time, soldier. Now is the time of victory for us. Let's make a plan. Maybe we should contact Lance's kingdom and tell him the truth and everything he needs to know." OOC: Ok. Someone else take over for a while. Sorry about the length. -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" Colonel Mustard: "Yep. Two Corpses. Everything's fine." OOC: Time to bring Raitt and Frauline into the room with the news. IC: Raitt and Frauline reach the arena and are glad to find the others still there. Raitt: "You won't believe what we found behind one of the tapestries. There was a secret door behind it and it lead to an underground corridor. In the corridor were four tunnels stretching for miles across the island, towards the Greywraith colony." Frauline breaks in. Frauline: "yes, and there were lots of rooms down its length. In one of the rooms, we could see a whole regiment of soldiers sleeping. They were all Greywraiths. There were giant crystals propped up against the walls and a cage full of prisoners of war in the center of the room." Raitt: "And that ain't the worst of it. There was a man sitting at a desk in the room writing on parchments. He had the markings of one of the moon clan. We got out of there as fast as we could then and I sealed up the tunnels with a strong ward spell that will hold for quite a while until we can figure out what to do. We need to come up with a good plan. And find out how Dern is connected to all of this." OOC: Let's get this RP rolling people. OOC: Celisto is still passed out. Time to wake her up. IC: Celisto wakes up and holds her head. Celisto: "Oh. I am still dizzy." Then she sees the injured on the ground and the vampires at the north door, with the knocked out body man she had sensed earlier. She couldn't hear any zombies currently, but should sense them closing in on the shrine one more. Celisto: "Well, Oscevello, what is our situation?" Oscevello: "Well, we feel we must move into the area below the shrine as it won't hold off the undead for much longer. We stand a much better chance down there, than we do up here. I suggest we go immediately." Turns his attention to the vampires. Oscevello: "You did your jobs. Now get out of here as fast as you can. We will take it from here." The vampires nod their heads and walk out the door, shutting it behind them. Oscevello turns to the others. Oscevello: "We must get the injured into he underground first. Then the warriors will follow. Understood?" The others nod their heads. Celisto breaks in. Celisto: "Okay. Now that it is understood. Oscevello and I will stand out ground here until you are all safe in the underground. Let's get moving now." The adventurers and soldiers start gathering their things and begin moving the dead. The storm continues to rage outside, and the wind begins getting severe. OOC: Ok. Take it from there. -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" Colonel Mustard: "Yep. Two Corpses. OOC: Ok. If the dark worm has arms now, let's say it was a mutation of the species. IC: Schostas sees his opportunity finally. He had been standing there for most of the time parrying attacks. Then the undead Dark Wyrm nipped him in the shoulder. The place where he had been bitten burned like hell and it gave him what he needed. He begins seeing red as his chaotic rage begins to take over. He actions quicken and he finally starts trying to strike the undead creature with his sword. Then he seems to completely snap and runs behind the creature. He jumps on its back and begins thrusting his sword into its head. Through his rage he had seen what Vincent had done, but was too preoccupied hacking at the Dark Wyrm's head, which was quickly being tattered and torn from his long sword blade. Though the poison would have no effect on the creature, the blade itself was already doing its job. In a matter of minutes, Schostas is able to hack the head clean off and the creature stumbles around a little, acid spraying all over in front of it. Schostas yells a warning at Shadow Wolf and the others through his rage. Schostas: "GET OUT OF THE WAY NOW!!!!!" He jumps off of the headless Dark Wyrm and begins hacking at its middle section, quickly tearing into it. Some of the acid catches him on the arm, and it begins burning through his robes. He sees the damage being done and quickly tears off his red robe. Everyone in the room stares for a moment when they see what he is wearing. He has on under his robes another set of robes with the insignia of the Queen all over them. The symbols on his robes flash and a blue aurora forms around him. He yells a battle cry through his rage. Schostas: "BY THE POWER OF THE LATE QUEEN, I SHALL KILL THEE, EVIL MONSTER!!!!! YAH!!!!!!" His sword flashes a red color and begins pulsing with some sort of energy. Most of the others in the room stop fighting and stare as his rage turns almost demonic and he begins to move faster than the eye can see. They don't see any of the actual sword swings. They only see pieces of the creature falling off and acid flying everywhere. When the acid hits him, it doesn't burn into him, as it should. Instead, it turns into a puff of smoke and vaporizes each time. Shadow Wolf joins in and starts doing the same thing at the same speed. They look so much alike while fighting that you would think they are brothers or colleagues of the starts fighting arts. The creature, between the two of them is slowly being reduced to fleshy pieces on the ground. Soon it will be dead. Suddenly the dryads pass out from overstrain in a high-pitched screaming fit and the worm regains its movement once again. OOC: The dryads aren't dead; they just passed out from lack of energy and too much strain. Let's kill this creature now. The battle went on for long enough. I enjoy classical music, I just don't have any to listen to. But when I do, I can play it for hours at a time, relaxing to it. -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" OOC: Sorry that I didn't specify my previous posts. My scenes were taking place as the undead were approaching the shrine. In other words, mine are in the past. I will now update them to the present. IC: Celisto and Zephyr continue to run over the rooftops towards the shrine and as they make it to the rooftop of the shrine, Celisto can see she is already too late. The undead must have come from the street behind the shrine, because now it is completely surrounded by them. Knowing that trying to get in through the doors would be hopeless, she looks for another way in. She notices the second floor window and manages to get it open with precise lock-picking skills. She crawls through the opening and drags the ever- relaxing body of the Cryobeast through after her. She then closes the window and proceeds to drag his body down the spiral staircase. The adventurers hear her coming but are surprised when they see no one appear at the foot of the stairs. Celisto, realizing that she has forgotten to let go of the crystal, does so and both her and the Cryobeast reappear. Everyone in the room jumps back in surprise at their sudden appearance. She takes the Cryobeast to a bench and lies him down. She begins to feel light-headed from her invisibility spell and also goes and lies down as well. OOC: Sorry that I didn't clear that up before. -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" Colonel Mustard: "Yep. Two Corpses. Everything's fine." OOC: I didn't want to reply so soon, but I fear this RP will fall off the first page and go dead. IC: As everyone turned their attention to the Dwarf Mayor, he began to speak. Dwarf Mayor: "Well, I can see by the large dead Asp over there and the stone ones by the wall that you faired rather well against my tests." Charlotte: "Tests!!!? These were just tests!!!!? By what right to do you this to us!! I have half a notion to turn you to stone right now, but my head hurts too much. So explain yourself before I get angry!" Dwarf Mayor: "Very well. As you have observed by the body over there in that case and the one in the house above us in the town, this island has been overrun by creatures that we cannot explain. I had a horde of them living in my library and I needed you to kill them for me. You did very well, so I will tell you what has been happening to this land. A large meteor crashed into its center and strange creatures and peoples appeared out of nowhere. That man over there in the case was bitten by one of those asps, and a slime also attacked him. We never had them in this land before until that meteor crashed. He was the king of this island and we felt it best if we brought his body to a safe place for a while. We have had other strange creatures attacking us. They take on the form of any creature, including humans, and it is almost impossible to tell the difference between them and a normal human. But to get to the point, we need adventurers like you to find out for us what has been happening to this land and how the meteor is connected to the happenings. It means big pay, and fame. What do you say?" OOC: I will leave it up to you Izzanor and the others in the RP to decide what t do and say here now. You can also give the Dwarf Mayor a name. That would be nice. -------------------- Mrs. Peacock: "Everything all right?" Colonel Mustard: "Yep. Two Corpses. Everything's fine."
