OOC: Time to catch up to the others. Now I have to control two characters, but I am getting good at it.

IC: Celisto continues flying towards Oscevello's location and soon sees him on a roof walking towards the building that the Vampires came out of. He sees her and stops walking. Celisto lands just behind him and they begin talking.

Oscevello: "Celisto, it is so nice to see you again. How have you be...oh. Never mind that question. Have you managed to find some adventurers?"

Celisto: "I enlisted the help of a wandering Cryobeast that came here out of nowhere. I sent him to the inn and told him to bring all the adventurers there to the Shrine. Seems like as good a place to meet as any. Besides, there was a strange occurrence there yesterday."

Oscevello: "Strange? How so?"

Celisto: "Well, I heard one adventurer telling another that a horde of zombies appeared in the Shrine after they tried to remove the Sacred Spear to store it somewhere else. I could hear him say that there was a cloud of smoke or something, and a bunch of zombies just appeared out of nowhere. Doesn't that strike you as odd?"

Oscevello: "Most certainly. If a place is sacred and a holy artifact is kept there, undead shouldn't appear to protect it. Good sacred places, unlike evil sacred places, don't use black magic or summoning spells. They produce explosions and poisonous gases. Evil sacred places, when defiled or an item is stolen, don't explode, or give off poisonous gases. They tend to give off demons or summon undead to protect it. You may have hit on something, Celisto. We need to..."

Celisto: "Here come the vampires I saw during my scanning. Let's go meet them."

Oscevello: "Okay, but we need to meet them in that abandoned warehouse over there. Let's go."

With that, they cast flight spells and float to the roof of the building. Entering the door on the top, they make their way down the stairs and make it to the ground floor at the same time that the vampires are coming in. They look questioningly at Celisto and then at Oscevello.

Leader: "Oscevello, who is this woman? I warn you, if this is a double-cross, I'll..."

Oscevello: "Don't worry, this is an old friend of mine that I bumped into. She is going to help us get rid of Jesitonia. Now that we have that settled, what news do you have for me?"

Leader: "We have captured a man who was hiding in our lair. We are planning to let him go, but we are a little afraid that he might share the secret of our lair with the other people of the town. They won't react too nicely at the idea of their being a clan of vampires within the town. It will cause a panic if we let him go, but maybe we can bring him to you.

Anyway, you wanted news, not our problems. Another vampire in town told me that Jesitonia was last seen close to the chapel, before the priests left. I also heard one of them say that they saw a man entering the sewers close to the shrine. Moreover, another report came in from a vampire from another town. He said the priests that had fled to that town disappeared during the night. A contact saw them heading back towards this town and they had a group of necromancers with them."

Oscevello: "This is getting more serious. The high priestess must have sent them there to bring a group of necromancers to the town. If they get here soon, we will have a plague of undead attacking us. We must get word out to the adventurers in the town. That's where you come in, Celisto."

Celisto: "I have sent word to have all the adventurers in the town meet us at the shrine. You had better bring that human imprisoned at your lair with us. We might need him. We will need all the help we can get. This undead invasion is going to get worse and worse. I saw a necromancer up by the cemetery and another on a roof in the slums part of town. They are slowly surrounding us. We need to meet with the adventurers and come up with an attack plan. We better go now."

With that, the vampires head back to their lair to get the human imprisoned there, and Oscevello and Celisto go back upstairs to the roof. They cast their spells and head towards the shrine.

OOC: I know that was long, but it was necessary because I control two characters now. It will certainly give this RP some more atmosphere and help explain the dilemma better. I await more posts.

OOC: I love RPs, and don't care how many I am in at once.

IC: Name: Charlotova Musgrave
Nickname: Charlotte or "Charts"
Age: 27
Height: 5'9"
Hair Color: Reddish blonde
Weight: 125 lbs.
Armor: Robe-covered Brass armor. Her robes are of a purplish color.
Weapon: She primarily uses magic, but likes using a bardiche that her parents gave to her as a gift from them and the king when she left to live on her own.
Demeanor: Okay, as long as you don't make her mad.
Background: Charlotte is one of three children in the Musgrave family. Her parents are mages for the king, and are well known in her homeland of Carpathia. She was educated by her parents and is a mediocre, but excellent mage. Her two siblings are mages also and she hasn't seen them since she left on her own several years ago. She heard about the plight of this community and is traveling to it by boat to offer her assistance. She has heard that her siblings have traveled there as well to help and looks forward to seeing them again.

She sees a man with blonde hair, a steel long sword, iron plate armor, an iron shield, and some speed boots. She has learned to recognize all types of armor and all types of magic and magical items. Her parents gave her a ring of unknown summoning as a gift before she left on her own and also a necklace that can be used to recharge her magical powers. She sees many other adventurers and they all seem to be looking at her with wonder. Tis true that Charlotte inherited great beauty from her mother and an aurora of someone not to be trifled with form her father.

She leans on the railing of the boat and looks out at the water, wondering what the land she is traveling to looks like and how wonderful it will be to see her siblings. She steps away from it and heads into the boat and to her cabin. Then she lies down and soon falls asleep.

OOC: I hope this RP takes off, it sounds interesting.

OOC: Since I was asleep most of the day, this post is from when the fighters left the mess hall and my character was still coming down from the hill. I will join the group shortly at the hall. This is before the dead are buried.

IC: By the time Raitt makes it down the hill, all the fighters are walking away towards the Tournament Hall. He decides to see the devastation in the mess hall first before he joins them. He walks in and can see death everywhere around him. Hundreds of dead fighters and Graywraith soldiers lay everywhere around him. As he is leaving the horror in the building behind him, he hears a voice call out. He turns around and sees a woman lying beneath a bunch of dead fighters and Graywraith soldiers.

She calls out for help again and Raitt quickly runs to her. He realizes she can't move because of the bodies piled on her and begins removing them from on top of her one by one. Soon she is free and able to move. He helps her to her feet.

Woman: "Thanks. I thought I was going to be trapped under those dead bodies all day. An experience like that could have driven me insane and the psychological wounds will never leave me, I'm sure. I say, I am being chatty ain't I? My name is Frauline Schmidt (pronounced Fraw-line Shmit). Who might you be stranger?"

Raitt: "My name is Raitt. Just Raitt. I had a different name, but I don't go by it anymore. I am just Raitt now. I think we should follow the others and... say...how did you manage to survive?"

Frauline: "Well, one of these here Graywraith soldiers knocked someone into me and as I fell, I hit the edge of the table and it knocked me out. When the enemy saw I wasn't moving and I had blood seeping from the wound on my head, they must have thought I was dead. Go figure. Maybe they are dumber then they look, no? Hey, you have one of their staffs! How can that be?!! Everyone around here got burned trying to pick one up!"

Raitt: "Oh, that. I know about this weapon and I was taught a spell that if need be, I would be able to pick up this staff and wield it like any other weapon. It takes a certain amount of power or a magical influence to allow a person to hold one and use it. I have that power. But enough chit chat. Let's go join the others."

As they leave, Raitt observes some things about Frauline. She wears red painted chain mail under some green robes and golden bracelets on her wrists. She carries a broadsword that she keeps in a sheath on her back. She has green eyes and blonde hair. She uses Chinese throwing stars dipped in poison that he can see on a belt and bulging in her pocket. She also carries a steel whip as well. He doesn't ask her about her background, and from the look of things, it's wise not to now. Raitt and Frauline leave the death and destruction and follow the other fighters to the Tournament Hall. That is where they are now.

OOC: I will join in as two separate characters; I hope that doesn't bother anyone else. I was able to do it in Baltazar the Mad, and I did it well.

"Drive" (For Daddy Gene) - Alan Jackson
"Crossroads" - Bone Thugs -N- Harmony
"Tell Him" - Celine Dion & Barbara Streisand

I will get back to you later.

OOC: Thank you Prem. You gave me what I needed.

IC: Schostas, despite being in his coma can still sense what is going on around him. He sensed the bartender, the healer, and the alchemist. Then he sensed something that made him smile in his coma. He sensed the presence of Neris with him.

Then he could feel her hand on his head and a good energy of some sort starting to flow through his body. He couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Then it hit him. The good energy was coming from Neris. She was somehow healing him.

She must have a hidden power that even she doesn't know about. Suddenly, he regains all of his senses and opens his eyes. He immediately sees Neris staring at him and then a smile flashing over her face.

Neris: "He's awake!! He's awake!!"

The healer and alchemist examine Schostas and conclude her to be right. Neris runs off downstairs to tell everyone.

OOC: There, now Schostas is back to normal and Neris appears to have a new talent.

OOC: This RP is going to be tough. But even more fun.

IC: On the way to the fight, Raitt notices a jungle-fringed hill with a good vantage point to it. He decides to climb it to hide from the battle for a bit to study the enemy. As he is climbing up it though, he hears footsteps behind him and realizes he is being followed. He pretends to not notice until he reaches the top.

Then he turns around and sees one of the enemy soldiers moving swiftly up the hill towards him. He observes what the soldier is carrying, along with how fast he is moving. The soldier moves with speed and agility like Raitt, but in a clumsy sort of way. He calls out to the enemy soldier.

Raitt: (In a raspy ninja-like voice) "Who are you?!! Why are your people attacking the tournament fighters?!!"

The enemy soldier doesn't respond and continues to get closer and closer to the top of the hill. Raitt sees a weapon in the soldier's hands and recognizes the weapon as one his teachers taught him about. In slang, they called it a "red hot poker,” but said it was really called an Ex Feres Staff, translated roughly; it's called a "Hell Staff." They told him that it takes great magical power or a strong magical influence to wield an Ex Feres Staff. It is red hot in the hands of the wrong person, and deadly in the right hands.

All this passes through his mind in a matter of seconds as he pulls his steel whip back out and the soldier reaches the top of the hill. The soldier lunges at him with great, but clumsy speed. He begins swinging the staff with an almost inhuman speed and agility and Raitt manages to dodge every thrust. Then the staff comes around and hits him in the side, knocking him over, but leaving his armor undamaged. The soldier expected it to tear right through it. And his anguish of it not doing so could be seen in his actions.

The soldier stops and stares blinking for a second or two at the inability of his staff to damage the fragile-looking chain mail, but soon comes to his senses and makes an attempt to bring the staff down square on Raitt's back. However, in the few moments between Raitt recovering from his blow and the enemy soldier's anguish, Raitt grabs a handful of dirt and flings it at the soldier's face, just as he attempts to attack. The dirt hits the soldier in the eyes and blinds him for a few moments, but those moments are all that Raitt to get to his feet and lash his whip.

The whip wraps around the staff in the soldiers hands. Raitt gives it a good yank and the staff is torn from the soldiers grip. The soldier goes berserk when he loses his staff and tries to tackle Raitt to the ground. Raitt manages to maneuver out of the way and begins swinging the staff around with the whip. The whip is designed to stay wrapped around an object until loosened by hand. The soldier goes for another run at Raitt and is stopped midway by the staff.

Raitt whips it around and it whacks the soldier in his side, leaving a burning gash. When the soldier gets back up again and for a third time tries to lunge at Raitt, he whips the staff around and this time makes contact with the soldiers neck, sending his head flying off down the hill. Then the soldier's body collapses in a bloody heap, writhing around now that the head is gone. Raitt removes his whip from around the staff and takes everything from the soldier's pockets. Then he turns his attention to the staff.

He takes off his gloves, pulls a blue powder from his pocket, and rubs it on his hands. Then he recites some black magic words and his hands begin to glow. Then he puts the powder on his gloves and they begin glowing as well, so he puts them on. He then proceeds to pick up the staff. When he grips it, he feels a small burst of electricity, but it soon dissipates. He is now able to yield it. His teachers had taught him a spell that would allow him to use it like any other staff and it is now proven that the spell works.

He turns around in the jungle thicket to survey the battle and sees that the battle is ending. He gets up and heads down the hill towards the mess hall to find survivors.

OOC: Sorry for the length of that post, but someone has to have one of these staffs for study or use against the enemy. I need to have some action for myself too. I am still a little ticked off that we go no women fighters in this RP. So I guess I will do the honers and take control of a female fighter that survived the battle.

Unfortunately, I listen to a whole assortment of music. I was listening to Elton John's "I Just Can't Wait To Be King." But now I am listening to Enya's "Exile From Titanic." I listen to a large range of music. I currently have over 900 songs downloaded on my computer, so you can imagine the variety. :D   :P

OOC: Thank you Prem. Now I feel I can successfully post.

IC: While sleeping, the magic flows back into Schostas's body and the surge of energy is so profound that he practically leaps out of the bed onto his feet right from a sound sleep. His body starts convulsing and he drops to the floor. The guard was still in the corridor and comes running in when he hears the commotion from inside the room.

He calls downstairs for help and can only stand and watch, as he has no idea of what he should do. An alchemist and a healer come bounding up the stairs to help and upon reaching the room tell the guard to help them lift Schostas's body up on the bed and within a minute, they have him on the bed. Immediately the alchemist starts mixing herbs and the healer starts casting bless and heal spells. When they pull back his hood, they are shocked by his handsomeness and complete blank stare. His eyes are not their usual color, but instead a deathly white, as is his skin.

Inside of ten minutes, the convulsions have stopped and the healer's are wiping Schostas's brow. They can't afford to lose this chaotic rage mage. He had bought the inn time with his summoned intelligent creatures and had managed an amazing rescue of Neris. However, Schostas didn't seem to be getting better. His was sweating profusely and his skin and eyes hadn't changed at all. When the bartender came up to see Schostas, he was expecting him to be wide-awake and talking.

But that wasn't the case. He looked down at this mage and almost wanted to cry, but being tough and having Neris back, refused to do so. When he asked the alchemist and the healer what was wrong with Schostas, they said that they had been able to decipher the Pendant he wore.

According to the pendant, once a person summons creatures with it, it drains all their energy and throws them into a magically induced coma. In the morning or the following day, the person would wake up, but the curse wasn't over. They still had to endure all the magical energy when it suddenly returned.

They pointed out to the bartender that according to the pendant, each person who regains their magic reacts differently to it. The more it is used, the less severe the reactions are. Since this was Schostas's first use, the regaining of his magical energy could possibly be fatal for him.

They assured the bartender that they would let Schostas die without a fight, and they would fight like the devil to save him. The bartender goes downstairs with a grave look on his face, but upon entering the inn, it gets even darker, but he puts it behind him and tries to get back to his duties.

OOC: Hopefully Prem will read this soon. Perhaps Neris might be able to bring Schostas out of his coma. After all, it was for her and then inn that he was fighting for when he used the pendant. Moreover, he doesn't even know that she was brought back yet either.

OOC: Thanks Firedrake. I'll do my best to pull it out of the hole it is in. To tell the truth, I didn't want control of the RP. But to do you proud, I needed to put on some inspirational music while doing this. I am listening to music from "Warriors of the Wind." Also known better as "Valley of the Wind" or the Japanese version title that I can't remember.

IC: Celisto goes into her trance with the crystal and starts scanning the area; all the while, the Cryobeast sits down next to her and shifts his attention between her and her summoned creatures brutally destroying the undead in the streets. Celisto scans the surrounding area and sees many of the happenings. She sees a group of vampires leaving a building, but oddly enough, she senses that that are not evil. Or at least, not of the same evil as the undead in the town.

She scans the building they came out of and senses a human presence there locked in a room, but not in any immediate danger. She starts scanning the graveyard and sees a figure conjuring undead and she can see that it is a necromancer because the sun is beginning to rise. It looks unfamiliar to her though, but she knows it is the cause of some of the undead. She continues scanning towards the inn and sees them fending off the occasional undead with ease and decides to move on.

She begins scanning the slums of the town and can sense frightened people hiding in the buildings all around that area. She sees a necromancer on one of the roofs there, but doesn't recognize her. She continues moving towards the northern part of town and sees someone jump in a portal. She recognizes him as Lavius and can tell that he is leaving the town. She can't blame him with all the undead however, so she keeps on scanning.

As she begins scanning to the south, she sees what looks like another necromancer on a roof again. She zooms in for a close look at the supposed necromancer and realizes that it is the same one that she saw near the shrine. Now, though, she can recognize him as a mage she knew. Memories flood back into her mind when she remembers his name, Oscevello. He was an Archmage in Delgotto's castle, but for the life of her, she couldn't see why he was here on the surface and was here in this town. She thought he was dead and he certainly couldn't be in league with Delgotto, as that seemed completely unfeasible.

Then the figure once again turned towards her magical projection, realizing it was being telepathically watched. It attempted to end the transmission by casting a spell towards the sight. The telepathic link stayed however and so he cast a scry spell. Celisto could feel herself being scried from a distance and then saw the reaction on Oscevello's face. It was one of sudden surprise of recognition. She could see him mouth the words Celisto with a slight smirk on his face. She was even more surprised when he suddenly began a telepathic link with her.

Oscevello: "Sorry about scrying you, but I realized it must be a powerful mage watching me if I couldn't magically break the link. I thought maybe...well...what are you doing here, Celisto?"

Celisto: "I should be asking you the same thing. But if you want to know, I came here to escape Delgotto's wrath."

Oscevello: "I can put your mind to ease on that subject. Delgotto is dead. He sent his forces to attack that town you were in. The adventurers there wiped out his whole army and one of the vampire groups defected. He was raising a new army when one day they and a neighboring tribe of vampires and necromancers attacked his castle. A powerful mage was among the group. Her name was Jesitonia.

I escaped from the castle during the attack and later heard that she a teleported into Delgotto's throne room. She took him completely off guard and assassinated him by bringing the walls down on him. She then reduced the entire castle and him to dust with a fire crystal she had with her. Then she teleported out of the caves and onto the surface. I asked a friend I had amongst the vampire clan and he told me that Jesitonia was a powerful mage who had a vendetta against Delgotto. However, she was also the high priestess of an undead cult of immense power who they had sent for.

I decided that an evil power like hers, even more powerful than that of Delgotto itself had to be stopped somehow. I enlisted the help of the Vampire clan and they constructed a portal that would take me to her lair. When I got here, I found the remnants of a clan of vampires and asked them about her."

Celisto: "So that explains the non-aggressive vampires that I saw leaving a house and heading in your direction. What did they tell you?"

Oscevello: "If you say there are vampires headed in my direction, then the clan must be heading to my location to give me more news. Heaven help us, Celisto. Jesitonia is more powerful than I ever feared. The clan told me that her lair is in this town somewhere, and that she was planning to turn it into an undead colony. These undead that you see now are only the tip of the iceberg of her plans. She is going to steadily bring increasingly more and more undead into the town, and they will gradually get more and more powerful. I suggest that we work together, Celisto. For old time's sake. Our combined power, with that of the adventurers may be just enough to destroy her."

Celisto: "I don't think we have a choice. Why don't we both go meet the vampire clan and try to find some of those adventurers to help us? Dear god, if this undead horde that we have here now is only the brink, I shy to think how it would be at it's worst. Let's me come over there first."

Oscevello: "Sure, but don't take your time. I beg you. Time is precious and we need all we can get."

With that, Celisto wakes up from her trance and sees that her summoned creatures have annihilated all of the undead in the streets and have moved onto other streets. The Cryobeast is still next to her, only it has fallen asleep. She shakes it gingerly.

Celisto: "Hello? Please wake up. I want you to go with me. You can fly behind me. No, wait, better yet, go back to the inn and tell every adventurer there that Celisto wants to me them at the...well...the shrine in two hours. Have you got that? Good. Go now!!!" With that, the Cryobeast gets up and heads for the inn. Celisto, meanwhile, begins chanting and soon lifts off of the roof. She then starts heading in the direction of Oscevello.

OOC: That should give this RP a plot. Whoever suggested a sewer or something below the Shrine has hit on something. I think that after gathering up the adventurers, we can head into the sewers and look for signs of Jesitonia. I liked that idea. Sorry about the incredible length. I had to do it in order to try and save this RP.

OOC: I think I will enter the fight, but from an unlikely place.

IC: Raitt wakes up in his room. He removes his earplugs and sets them on his table. Then he opens the door and looks out. The building is eerily silent. He thinks he can hear some sounds of non-tournament fighting off in the distance from his window and through the passage, so he gets himself prepared. He undresses, freshens up in the bathroom, and begins dressing in fresh clothes.

He can see in the mirror his nice array of muscles as he goes for his fighting clothes. He puts on A black unmentionable, a black pair of jeans, a midnight blue t-shirt, black socks, some contacts to replace his glasses, and then very thin midnight blue gloves. They he starts on his armor. He opens a crate and pulls out a very shiny helm made of a platinum-steel blend. It is enchanted to never rust and can't be destroyed unless melted.

Next, he pulls out a very shiny cloak of chain mail. It is made of the same platinum-steel and has the same qualities of the helm, but is also enchanted with speed and blesses the user. He puts it on and then moves on to his boots. He wears titanium-reinforced boots, because he doesn't like taking chances with getting his shoes ruined.

He moves onto his weapons and weapon-holding gear. He puts on two sheaths crossing each other and then puts on a throwing knife belt under his chain mail and across his chest. Then he sets to work at putting each throwing knife in each place. Then he pulls out a second belt and puts it on just under the throwing knife belt. He pulls out a small wooden box and opens the lock on it.

He pulls out several assassin darts and takes the time to dip every single dart in it. The darts have a kind of syringe-tip on them so a good amount of poison can be administered. Then he puts each carefully in place on the belt. After that, he moves onto his leg protection. He pulls out of another crate, a bunch of chain mail made especially for his legs. They are like pants, but made out of chain mail. They are made of the same material as the helm and chain mail top and contain the same enchanting as the latter.

He pulls something out of a crate and attaches it to his shoe, then does the same for the other. When he finishes, he has two small dagger blades sticking out of his shoes from a concealed slot in each sole. He clicks his heels on the ground and makes each blade slip into its concealing space. He opens the longest box amongst the crates and lifts out two very shiny and very well built broadswords. They are made of the same platinum-steel alloy as the armor and are blessed as well. He carefully puts them in the sheaths on his back and goes back for more weapons, eventually adding two daggers attached to his sides, a steel whip at his waist belt, several knives tucked away on his person, and a magical sword he hides on him. It is for emergencies only and is powerful, having the ability to cut through most anything.

He looks at himself in the mirror as he puts on his black ninja mask. He knows he is not a ninja, but he likes to pretend he is. He takes a last glance at his spell book, being a user of the black magic arts, and gets some food from the icebox. He grabs his door key from the table and walks out of the room, shutting and locking the door behind him. Then he places a powerful black magic ward on the door and leaves. He knows he can always come back to his room for more supplies if he needs them. He has many replacements for his weapons. He then heads for the battle, taking his time to get there so he can conserve his energy.

OOC: Despite my character's weapons and looks, he isn't anywhere near as strong as he appears to be. His armor does not make him anywhere near invincible. I merely meant that it cannot be destroyed, but he can be injured very easily through it. He moves very quickly and with much agility because of the blessed items he wears. He can also cast certain types of magic; all spells a part of the black magic he knows.

OOC: I need to make it seem as if my crates were delivered to the building. I don't like how the building went from having rooms to a cramped room. You can change this if you want, but my post will have rooms

IC: Raitt carefully observes everything everywhere he goes. Here are his observations about the building. Upon watching some of the others try to get out of the building and then grumbling to everyone else about it in speeches, Raitt concentrates on trying to find his possessions among all the crates stacked in the middle of a room just inside of the door. He has apparently brought the most possessions with him to the island of any of the people here as most of the crates have his name on them. It takes him several minutes, but he eventually weeds them all out.

He decides on a room at the other end of the building down the long corridor. He begins transporting them there and notices many strange things along the way. Almost every room he sees has people in it close to the main door. However, as he gets closer to his room, he finds less and less people in each room. When he reaches his room, he is surprised to see it completely empty. Nevertheless, despite the distance to the main door that he has to walk, his room faces the coast and the view is excellent and relaxing.

He observes the size of the building. This building only has one floor to it but the roof must reach close to 15 feet. Oddly enough, it is only 8 feet high inside. It is at least one hundred five feet wide from what he saw outside and at least 175 yards long, judging by the corridor running down the center of it like the backbone of an animal.

On each side of the passage, not including the room with the crates in it, there are at least thirty-nine vacant or seemingly vacant rooms along the corridor on either side. Including the crate-filled room, there are twenty rooms on each side and forty total. The building itself runs parallel with the coast as Raitt saw by his room.

There are no electric lights, but instead, gas-powered torches lighting the hall and rooms. The doors all have locks and bolts of all sorts on them, in which Raitt observes, thankfully, that they are all on the insides of the doors. Each room appears to have a varying amount of bunk beds in them, with Raitt's only have one oddly enough. Many of the rooms near the door have as many as 15 or more in them. Each bunk in those rooms had someone on it.

Each room has similar items in them though. Raitt observed these items present in all of the rooms. In each could be found a small bathroom with a sink, a bureau (dresser), a mirror on the bureau, a varying number of tables with varying number of chairs, a key on one of the tables that obviously goes to the door to lock it, a varying number of windows with titanium bars on each window, a few braziers, several 7-foot high shelves, varying numbers of tapestries, and a very large magically made icebox (fridge). (Seeing as they probably have no electricity, hence the gas-powered torches.)

It takes Raitt a while, but he manages to get all his crates to his room in less than 15 minutes, despite the distance. When they are all there, he begins opening his boxes and checking the contents. Satisfied, he puts the lid back on each crate and begins surveying his room in detail. Having noted nothing unusual, except for the odd placing of the tapestries, he goes back to one of his crates and pulls out a set of metal pieces. He begins putting them together and when he is done, he has two 10-foot long clothes racks in front of his bunk and many hangers on them.

He begins taking out his clothes and special armor and begins hanging them on his racks. Inside of ten minutes, he is done and both racks are almost completely full. He decides to rest for a few minutes before moving on the suitcases. He notes in memory that tapestries placed like this often have secret doors behind them. But being to tired to bother with that right now, he takes the key off of the table and heads out the door, locking it behind him. He is curious to see how everyone else is getting along with each other and their settings.

OOC: There seemed to be a confusion as to what type of building we are in, so I decided to help clear it up a little. If this description sounds to corny, I don’t mind if you change it back to the original. However, my character is a loner and prefers to be alone. It seems to me that a huge one-floored building with many people in it is more mysterious than a small one-roomed building with many people in it. With its large size, there is the potential for hidden passages and such as I mentioned with the tapestries.

Can we perhaps get some women in this. I don't mean to complain, but a group made up completely of men is rather boring. I would have been a woman, but I prefer to alternate my characters. So let's please get some women in this. IMAGE(Spiderweb Software Boards New RP The Greywraith Clan1_files/frown.gif)IMAGE(Spiderweb Software Boards New RP The Greywraith Clan1_files/rolleyes.gif)

OOC: Thank god. I thought this was going to be like Mortal Kombat for a few minutes there. You had me worried. I think I will alternate characters this time. I have already had two women. Time for another man.

IC: Character #2
Name: Raitt (Pronounced rate) Cosgrove
Eye color: Ice Blue
Hair Color: Fiery red
Height: 6'2''
Age: 32
Weight: 210 lbs.

Looks: Terribly handsome, but he wears glasses and it tones down his appearance quite a bit. He wears blue jeans, a black t-shirt, and an orange cover shirt with strange symbols all over it. (I am referring to one of those shirts you have to button up the front the whole way from top to bottom.

Specialty: He yields the ability to use two double-edged swords with deadly force. But he can use any weapon with great efficiency. He has a very keen sense of smell. If lost in the wilderness, he can live off the land because he is a tremendous horticulture expert. He also has two suitcases with him. He always comes prepared in case anything happens. He has a whole treasure trove of belongings with him. He has many other hidden abilities that he doesn't like to show off.

Demeanor: He is normally very kind. He treats people in authority with great respect and only speaks when spoken to. Therefore, he is generally very quiet. He shows no sexual emotions at all. He is a lot like some of the English people from the Victorian period and some of today. He admires physical and natural beauty of all sorts. At night he can prowl around as quiet as a cat. He is an okay person to be around as long as you don't make him mad. When angry, he can slip into a psychotic rage where his chief principle is attack and kill now, ask questions later.

Weaknesses: A good wine, affection for an alternate source, ancient artifacts, and a few other hidden ones he doesn't like to be known.

Raitt is resting on his bed until he hears a sailor above on deck shouting that he sees land. He decides to sit up and look out the porthole. He sees an island very much like an island he read about in a book called Jurassic Park. But there are many distinct differences. He turns around and looks around his cramped little compartment. He grabs his two suitcases and decides to come back for his several duffle bags he brought with him later.

The duffle bags he brought hold clothes and other such items. He has crates in the cargo hold that contain his many weapons. As he steps onto the main deck, he asks a sailor if he can grab his duffle bags from his cabin and carry them out for him. The sailor gives him a mean look and is just about to curse him out when Raitt tells him he will get a 10 pound tip if he helps. The sailor smiles and runs to Raitt's cabin. He soon emerges with all of the duffle bags and sets them down next to Raitt.

Sailor: "Can I take them ashore for you too?"

Raitt: "Yes. If you do I will throw in another 10 pounds."

The sailor smiles eagerly as the boat nears the shore.

OOC: Sorry. I used pounds because I thought it sounded more interesting. I forgot to mention that my character is rich. I await the rest of the characters to join.

You know, I liked the Cryobeast better. I haven't played Geneforge yet, so I have no idea what a shaper is. I had plans for the Cryobeast. Though I think a Pyrobeast might be better, seeing that undead are immune to cold.

Please just use a Pyrobeast or a Cryobeast. I know what they are and I can handle them. I prefer to work with characters that have been here a while. Not ones that just show up out of nowhere. Otherwise, I will have to forge on alone.

Dang, it sucks having only played games from the Exile series and none of the others. I have enough room on my computer for all the games from Spiderweb. The problem is that I only play games when I am in the mood for them. And currently I am not in the mood for any. Oh, well.

OOC: Aye okay. I didn't really want to go into detail about the pain thing. I am going to explain it away into oblivion. But can we at least get the total number of posts to at least 400 and give it a great finish.

IC: Alcove: "Delgar, Molek, everyone else, before we go and rest, I think we should lock Baltazar up. Then while he is behind a closed door, I will reverse his near immortality spell. He has to be punished, and I think Celestia's idea is the best idea for doing it. But what shall we do with him?"

Delgar: "I suggest you erase his memory and give him a lower position in the castle, where he can suffer by growing older and older until he collapses. That will be punishment enough."

Molek: "I agree. A punishment can't get much worse than that. Even death is more inviting than having to watch yourself grow old seven times faster than a normal person."

Alcove: "Then it is decided. I will take him to a room and cast the spell on him. Then for the time being, I will seal it up. I wish all of you a good night's rest."

Alcove leads Baltazar to a vacant room and upon sitting him down on a bed, she closes the door behind her. She begins ranting and raving and points her hands towards him. A cobalt blue beam of light pulses from her hands into his body. The room goes dark and only the cobalt blue light can be seen. The light is beautiful and intriguing to look at. And soon the spell is done. The light reenters the room and Alcove can once again see Baltazar. Already he appears to be getting older.

She leaves the room and shuts the door. Then she casts a magic barrier spell and seals the door up. As she returns to her room, she feels the pain again, but it appears to be along the skin. She pulls back her robes and can see a small wound. ?Huh, I wonder when I received that. Oh, well. That can be healed.? She casts a heal spell and the wound disappears. Then she returns to her own room to rest for the night.

OOC: Ok. The RP is drawing to a close. Have other RPs been this successful in their endings?

OOC: Time for me to continue. I am still wondering about that character who can control the weather. Who the heck is that person and why haven't we heard from them in a while? Oh, well, I will have to survive without them.

IC: Celisto continues along the roofs and then stops at one across from the shrine, despite the fact that the fog keeps her from seeing it. She can hear in the street below her undead everywhere. Here and there, she can make out the clashing of the soldiers' weapons on the undead as they are trying desperately to fend off the undead. She decides to summon some creatures to fight against the undead and help the soldiers out a little. But before she can, she hears a noise a short distance away behind her.

She turns around with a start, but can't see anything behind her. Then slowly a creature begins to take form in the fog and lantern light. She prepares a kill spell just in case it's an enemy. When the creature gets close enough, she sees that it is the Cryobeast. Apparently, it felt that the best place to hide was on the roofs as well. She cancels her kill spell and begins concentrating on her summon spell.

Celisto: "Do you think you can illuminate the street for me? I need to see where I am summoning to."

Cryobeast: "Sorry, I am a Cryobeast. Fire weakens me."

Celisto: "Damn!! Oh well. I guess I will have to do it. Unfortunately my spell won't last as long as I would like it to."

She decides to use long light spell, as it will last longer than a normal light spell. She puts out her hands and points them at the sky. She says a few words and a yellow pulse shoots from her hands and stops fifty feet up in the sky. An artificial sun appears and flickers. She realizes that it will only last for an upwards of six or seven minutes. So she prepares he summon spell. She looks down at the street and can barely make out dozens of undead and several soldiers fighting them off as well as they can. She can also see the outline of the shrine.

She notices that the undead appear to be coming from the direction of the graveyard. She points her hands towards the street and chants some words. The Cryobeast watches her all the time. A red light shoots from her hands when she finishes chanting and the beam hits the street. The fog in the way of the beam dissipates for a few seconds as the summoning beam evaporates all fog nearby. The fog begins to appear again as she finishes the spell and the beam ceases.

She can see in the light of the artificial sun, her summoned creatures. Standing before her in the streets are several imps, hordlings, a drake, a demon, an efreet, and some salamanders.

Celisto: "Destroy the undead around you!!! Help the soldiers!! DO YOUR DUTY FOR THIS TOWN!!!! BURN THEM ALL!!!!"

With that, the summoned creatures begin attacking the undead. And Celisto turns to the Cryobeast.

Celisto: "I take it that since you are on the roofs, you have the ability to either fly or levitate. I vote for fly, just because you don't look like a mage to me. Now, I don't care if you tag along, just don't get in my way, or you will be sorry. I have a short temper and don't like being mad. But, you look like you will be very helpful to me. Pardon me for a minute, I have to survey our surroundings."

Celisto sits down on the roof Indian style, clutches her amulet in her hand, and begins scanning the area around her.

OOC: I was planning to give help to the people trapped in the house, but I think they left it already. I can't be sure. Please use the artificial sun to your advantage if you can. It will only last for five minutes. That time is vital if you want to use it.

OOC: Oh my, the task gets more difficult. I will have to save Baltazar, though it?s not a pleasant proposition. Should I cast the reversal of the near immortality spell? No one answered that yet. I'll take it as a yes, since this poison will do him permanent damage.

IC: Baltazar's body starts convulsing and everyone in the room, minus Namothil, turns their attention to him. Delgar is the first to see that dart.

Delgar: "That blasted Namothil!! He himself was an assassin!! He must have been hired by someone to kill Baltazar and found joining our to be the easiest way to do it!!! Quick, Alcove, cure the poison before it is too late!!!"

Alcove puts her hands together in front of her and concentrates on them instead of Baltazar's convulsing. She begins chanting some strange words that only Kel-Aziz and Baltazar, in his convulsing, recognizes. She is chanting a cure spell from the tome. She begins rubbing her hands together and a green light starts forming around them.

The green light starts getting brighter and brighter until it is almost blinding. Then she walks quickly over to Baltazar and puts her hands on him. The green light shoots into Baltazar's body and as his convulsing stops, he passes out on the floor. She turns her attention to the adventurers. Even though Baltazar is passed out, his mind can be controlled. Having received permission to use the mind-control spell, she gets right down to it.

She clenches all of her fingers into a fist except for he index or pointer fingers. She puts her index fingers up to the sides of her head and begins raving some very ancient and powerful words. Only Kel-Aziz recognizes them since Baltazar is passed out. An orange light shoots out from Alcoves head and goes Baltazar's. He body begins to shudder and soon he is awake again. He stands up and turns towards Alcove.

Alcove: "Do you want me to cast the reversal of the near immortality spell now, or wait until we have control of his mercenaries?"

As she is speaking, Alcove can feel a strange pain in her body, though she has no idea from what. She tries to hide it.

OOC: There is no telling what the pain is. I will let everyone else decide it. Just don't kill Alcove. And make a decision on the reversal of the immortality.

OOC: Another stroke of genius has just hit me. I forgot that Alcove knows many of the same spells that Baltazar does. This should be interesting.

IC: Alcove listens carefully to what Kel-Aziz is saying. Before she is able to speak however, Celestia breaks in and stops her.

Celestia: "Your plan is very wise Kel-Aziz. And I can see that my revenge is finished now that Baltazar has been dethroned. I thank you adventurers for making it possible."

With that, she turns around and heads towards the wall, where a green portal has formed. Just as she begins to step into it, she stops, and turns around.

Celestia: "Alcove, did you ever read anything in that tome concerning immortality?

Alcove: "Why yes, as a matter of fact, I did. I studied that one quite intensely."

Celestia: Then you should know how to reverse the near immortality spell.

She begins to turn towards the portal again, but stops abruptly and faces Alcove again.

Celestia: "By the way, Alcove. Don't forget that mind control spell."

With that, Celestia turns around and passes through the green portal and heads back to her eternal rest in the Aleutian Fields, where she will be able to see her children everyday.

Alcove: "Thank you for your gift Celestia Kilborne. Without you, I never would have thought of those spells."

Alcove turns her attention to Kel-Aziz and Molek.

Alcove: "Well, I must say that I have no intention of leaving this island anytime soon. I will help you bring this island back to its former self. With your permission, Molek, I will reverse Baltazar's near immortality spell and make him age seven years for every year that he lives. And with your permission, I will cast a mind control spell on Baltazar, and bring him under our control completely. What do you say?"

OOC: It is up to the people of the RP to decide. Not to mention that we are waiting on Delgar's answer yet. I await an answer.

Like I said before. I didn't get a more modern computer until late 1998 or early 1999. Even then, my computer was a 1993 or 1994 model. We are poor. At the time, I bought a computer from a man who built them for a cheap price. I ended up with a horrifically old computer as the date mentioned above, and I paid only $135 for it at the time. It took two computers later and $636 until I got the blessed one I have now.

I attribute my lack of knowledge of computer games to the fact that I didn't get the Internet until June of this year. Also because of my parents lack of knowledge on how to get to the nearest mall. There are several malls within 35 miles of my home. But my parents did then and still do hate traveling long distances. In fact, we never went to the city to do any sort of shopping. Not until just this year. Within 4 miles of my house there was a store called Ames. They went out of business this time last year and no business ever took over the building again.

It is the same distance from my house to our capital city and the same distance to a city to the north. Because the area is slightly more rural to the northern city, my parents were able to learn how to get there with the help of my brother and now go up there to do shopping at the Wal-Mart up there. A total of at least 32 miles away. I live out in the middle of the countryside, and I enjoy living there. I wouldn't move to the city for any amount of money.

Because of our lack of money, travel, and shopping experience, I get lost when I go to a mall or a city. I have traveled so little in my lifetime that I can't negotiate major highways without losing my way. No, I can't drive either, but even observing the route to the city makes me feel overwhelmed because I am so unused to traveling distances. I have led a terribly deprived life.

Despite being deprived in so many areas such as being unable to go to a mall even once a year, not knowing how to use highway exit signs on a major highway, not having the money to buy a good computer until I was 17, not having much money do buy anything period, never having the internet at home until June of this year, not knowing anything about the latest fashions or really caring for any of them that matter, having had to learn most vital things about life from other students in school, being 18 and having no interest in learning to drive, and much much more, you would say that I have never really lived.

Yet, despite not having knowledge about all those seemingly major things, I have more knowledge about things like old radio shows from the 30s, 40s, and 50s, Egypt, old England, the Roman Empire, Ancient Greece, shipwrecks, music, and older movies than the average person.

That all having been said, I attribute my lack of knowledge of other computer games to the fact that I didn't a good recent computer until I was 17, I didn't have the internet at home until June of this year, and my parents never took me anywhere where I could see computer games being advertised.

Most of you people here have had the luck of having the Internet for many years. I have only had it for 4 months. Most of what I know about computers and the Internet I had to teach myself. My parents don't know how to use a computer and never will. I have been deprived for too long in my life, and that is my reason for my lack of knowledge of computer games.

I don't care what Firedrake has to say about it, Zephyr. Are any of your characters capable of controlling weather or at least, creating wind? I need someone to help me with the fog. I suggest that everyone in this RP treat this fog as something unusual or supernatural. It would give the RP an aurora of mysticism if it didn't go away during the day or something like that. Somewhere in this RP, I could have sworn that there was a mage who could control the elements. Where did they go?

OOC: Fine. You win. But I still feel sorry for Zephyr. After all, he is 11 going on 12 years of age. I will just have to work around his characters now.

IC: The lizard people all shake their heads no. "Dang. How am I to help the people of the town if I can only see them through my crystal? Looks like I need to get to the roof tops." Celisto walks over to the bartender and before she can say something, his jaw drops. She turns around and looks in the direction he is looking. She gets a look of slight surprise over her face.

Where there used to be four lizard people, there is now only one. The Cryobeast is the only one left. She realizes that the other ones must have been summoned. The Cryobeast comes inside the inn and sits down at a table. Celisto turns her attention back to the bartender who has gone back to his work.

"I need you to make me a provision pack. I need plenty of food for at least three days and enough water to last me for just as long. Throw in a bottle of wine as well. I have a feeling that this fog isn't going to lift for a while. Not even when day comes. It is much thicker than normal fog and has a magical feel to it. Can I have a glass of merlot to go?"

The bartender smiles at her and opens a bottle of wine for her. After pouring her a glass, he gets started on her provision pack. She sips on the wine slowly and savors every delicious drop. After about ten minutes, the pack is finished and he hands it to Celisto. "Don't worry about paying for it, it is on the house for saving my life. And here, you will need this lantern." She looks at him and gives him a smile. The she puts the pack on her back, grabs the lantern, and leaves the inn.

When she has gone no more than 20 feet from the inn, she loses sight of it. She can barely make out the outlines of the buildings around her. She pulls out the lantern that he gave her, lights it with a spark spell, and heads towards a building. Off in the distance, she can hear the gurgling and moaning of undead. Oddly though, she can't hear any of the adventures that left the inn no more than fifteen minutes before. When she reaches the front of the building, she chants a few words and then begins to levitate. She floats up to the building's roof, and then lands on it.

She knows that the safest place she can be is off of the street and up out of the reach of the undead. She makes her way along the roofs, heading for the main part of the undead horde.

OOC: Celisto is unaware of the necromancer walking along the roofs and might even run into him eventually. This RP is becoming a lot of fun.

Sorry, I can't do anything for a while. I am waiting for people to post some actual story scenes. I won't post anything else until some does. Someone just post something about removing Baltazar's robes and let's kill him already. Just let Celestia out of it. She is only watching the battle.

Eferas is out cold and Kel-Aziz is passed out on the floor as well. Baltazar has been cut up pretty badly, but his robes keep him healing constantly. Two of the adventures have poison running through their veins and the gray potion is healing them slowly. Alcove is trying to get everyone else to attack Baltazar's robes.

That is the current situation, I think. Correct me if I am wrong. Now let's get posting people!!!

OOC: I will bring Celisto out of the inn again. I will try my hardest to try and make her less like a demi-god character. But she does have lots of power, and I can't leave all of that out.

IC: The adventurers in the inn headed out into the fog and instantly got lost after disappearing from view. Celisto knew she had to do something. But before she could step out of the inn, a group of lizard-like people walked into it. There was a Slith cleric, a Slith warrior, a Pyrobeast, and a Cryobeast. She recognizes them right away as the same creatures she saw in her crystal ball.

"Well, welcome to the inn of this zombie-laden town. There is the bartender, perhaps he can get you something to eat and drink. But as for me, I need to figure out how to get rid of this ghastly fog. It is hindering our progress and is making it harder for us to see the undead coming at us."

She directs her attention to the three magical creatures. "Can any of you control the elements in any way? I can summon a large fireball over the town to heat up the air and get rid of this horrible fog, but I can't do it for very long. I need to find a way to create some wind to blow away this fog. Can any of you create wind for me in some sort of way?"

OOC: I am relying on Zephyr to come back and take over his part. For god's sake, someone please get a hold of him. I need him to continue. I refuse to take over for his characters. I don't know how to handle them.
