Cav, don't be surprised or anything, even though your topic has turned into the eternal battle between post-modernism, modernism and those who think both suck. It seems to be one of the final stages for any topic, but at least it's very natural.

The four ages of the topic:
1.On topic
2.Off-topic
3.Politics/religion/filosophy
4.Death

EDIT: The feared (or longed for, as it leads to stage 4) stage 3½ would include spamming and people who tell others to shut up.

What? I'm interested in history, that's all.

EDIT: And having a crime against humanity attached to one's name is also very tempting.

So "Hate" has got 333, and "jimmer" has got the number of the beast?

This just shows what a strange world we live in.

Settings you would like to see future Spiderweb games take place in in General

I don't really care what the settings are, as long as the game is really weird. And with really, I mean really. Such games are always refreshing.

Drakefyre gave me the idea. What if Jeff would make this game about a discussion forum? You could play as "the spammer", the "besserwisser", the "wannabe-popular", the "witty", the "serious" and many more! Of course, special abilities would differ from class to class. The quests available would be limitless! Seriously flame someone, play two persons against each other, gain the respect of an older member, raise your status/karma, you name it!

Admit it. I'm a genius. IMAGE(tongue00.gif)

Has anyone seen 22 or 333?

Oh, and how come 666 isn't hanging around? It's almost criminal not to brag about such a number.

I actually think Athron is a gender-changer too.

What? It's even almost maybe not on the ancient subject! So it's a justified comment!

You are right, of course. This phenomenon can also, however, be explained by the fact that neighbours usually like the same kind of music. Although I don't believe it for a second.

The Eurovisions are politics. So what? It's better than declaring war, and a nice less-than-subtle way to show your goodwill. For a united Europe!

Who did you like better Celts or Romans and why? in Nethergate

I prefered the Romans. You can't identify yourself with seksi spike-haired barbarians who use bodypaint. If you can, please contact a doctor.

You can, however, identify yourself with dull people. People who are just trying to do their work. People who haven't got a clue what they're up against. People who would rather just go home and live a peaceful life with their family. And that's how I see my special force consisting of four Roman soldiers.

Airplanes have been invented. Though I still don't understand how they can fly. It's one of life's great mysteries, I guess. One of those forbidden secrets that man should not dabble with.

In retrospect, I would wish for a dog. An Old English Sheepdog. They are kind and good with children.

Better wish for something possible to achieve. You'll live a happier life.

This will probably upset some people. Don't care. You probably have a much more refined sense of music, anyway.

"In the Disco" was the best song ever! I have never seen anything more silly. And the dancing...it was really unearthly, in a both positive and negative way. "Shake It" falls into the same category. Though the singer, Sakis Rouvas, made me regret I'm not gay.

Poland sucked very, very horribly and deeply. The same goes for Ukraina.

Sweden was probably the best. I actually also liked Bosnia & Hertzegovina's piece. Albania got my sympathy points.

spy.there: ABBA is probably the only band who has managed reach worldwide fame after the Eurovision Song Contest. Maybe Celine Dion as well.

Wise Man, your "gooz" has managed to push this topic even further towards the place where all good little topics one day go. And that's admirable, considering the state of it b.Gooz.

This seems indeed to be the undead topic. Bash it all you want, it just won't die.

Everyone needs a little brother or sister. There is no better way to learn life and most of the more complicated emotions, than to grow up with one.

On the monetary side, a mansion would be cool. You could play hide and seek all day without getting bored. And get lost in the garden maze!

I will continue in lurking state. Don't let me down, boys.

The forbidden question.

Acronyms suck.

EDIT: Well, so I was going to say something like: "But your acronyms are actually quite funny". I might even had added a smiley. Then I realized that acronyms really do suck. Sorry.

Everyone wants a Power Glove! The Power Glove is ideal for charming girls, as demonstrated in the video. Also, you will generally be refered to as "cool" among your friends, should you wander around wearing this fine device. You'll be the talk off the town! It's your ticket to society!

Last but not least, the Power Glove gives you the ability to manipulate any electrical device (that has been specially designed for this).

Buy your own Power Glove today! Batteries not included.

Congratulations, TGM. Though that is one goddamn ugly Nokia.

Cell phones are handy (hah! joke!). Everyone needs a cell phone. If you don't need a cell phone, you must be a 72-year-old Frenchman living in Nizza. Trust me on this one.

Also, think about how easy it is to break up with someone, if you happen to own this fine machine! Just send him/her a message in the style (please use your own words, it will make it seem more sincere): "Eh...sorry Jim/Jill. It's over."

Ah yes, the blessings of technology.

which is better in Geneforge Series

GF is absolutely better when it comes to the plot, but I'd still say GF 2 is generally better.

TGM, I think Geneforge had just the right amount of people to speak to. You spend most time wondering about what the heck it is all about, true, but every once in a while you meet someone who reveals a bit more. Then, little by little you start to understand the puzzle. Brilliant, IMO.

But then again, I am a fanatic friend of the "castaway-all-alone-on-old-and-mystical-deserted-island" genre. :P

Anyway, GF 2's plot became obvious far too soon.
