They still release C&C in like, collectors/grouped editions - C&C original + expansion, Red Alert + expansions, Generals or Tiberian Sun + expansions etc. Try the Game maker (is it Westwood Studios?) website - you can normally purchase either directly from them, or they link you to their recommended/authorised retailers. Hunt around gaming websites, however your best bet is going to be EBay or Amazon etc. Second hand games are cheap and easy. -------------------- A Sucaran Child is standing here. CPU wins out. It's your standard lame pc-workstation-client-terminal-server-setup. The client is incapable of running anything, and is also too weak to run most of the stuff that comes through off the server apps. As a result, the fantastic 1MBps broadband connection of the workplace is wasted, because they dont buy clients good enough to run IE fast enough to load the pages as the data comes through... its almost funny. they should just go back to dialup or something. i hate workplace networks. =/ -------------------- A Sucaran Child is standing here. They actually make closed/secure BitTorrent programs for home/office/remote network sharing much like a VPN these days. The technology is not illegal, it has proper commercial uses. Essentially, by putting the onus on the users to dictate what information they choose to share or copy, the devoid themselves of a large part of the liability of copyrighting. At the very least they are an accessory, but even still, they cannot control what people share/copy. Some programs/sites like FolderShare are basically closed-bit torrents, used for Home-Work networking, or remote (as in, multiple cities) commercial networks, etc etc. hooray for bt having uses. -------------------- A Sucaran Child is standing here. 37.343 I believe that the pathetic slowness of this terminal/client work PC aided me, in that basically EVERYTHING went slowly. Kinda boring, could probably go on endlessly really. I don't see the addiction whatsoever. SF Cave though, now theres some quality addiction :D Edit: bored, went back. 67.738. ****ty connection is definitely the key :P [ Thursday, November 10, 2005 15:15: Message edited by: kuc ] -------------------- A Sucaran Child is standing here. Get/borrow an AV output/input jack. Plug both input and output leads into your PC creating a loop. Load your C&C map of choice in multiplayer or pause, and start recording. Stupid cheap ways to get around things. <3 -------------------- A Sucaran Child is standing here. You say, "hello" The small child looks at Preserver Aldous wide-eyed and awed. kuc's tip: each way bet! St Kilda to beat Adelaide, or West Coast to beat St Kilda. fairly confident about option a). The real grand final will be Adelaide v West Coast though. I drank a lot of beer watching the showdown on saturday night, at my mates who comes from a big crows family. good times. -------------------- A Sucaran Child is standing here. Which is a contradiction in itself, as caring about karma isnt a lie (which makes baby Jesus cry), and if it were a lie, then you wouldnt care about karma, so it wouldn't make baby Jesus cry... but it would be a lie, so it WOULD be making baby Jesus cry! So, I suppose, regardless of the truth of it, if at any stage you claim to care about karma, baby Jesus will cry, provided he cries if you care about karma, and not just if you tell lies! :: rips hair out :: [ Thursday, September 08, 2005 16:15: Message edited by: kuc ] -------------------- A Sucaran Child is standing here. I found that across Avernum, Shields simply didnt do enough good to warrant not using huge polearms/greatsword types. Until damage maxes out, and you scale down in weapons, I always found that huge damage > slight protection, but nasty encumbrance. -------------------- A Sucaran Child is standing here. The 2 mage/priests was in reference to PART of a 4-character party, accompanied by 2 melee characters. It would be a harder 2-character party to play, pretty much for the sole reason that you lack melee. Nuking or running your way through dungeons is tedious at best. Potions are "teh suck". To answer Alorael's question (regardless of probably rhetoric as he gave his own answer) I like to buff my melee characters. It is particularly enjoyable, to make god-warriors, then just pick off any stragglers with the odd Flame Bolt. Offensive Spells tend to come into play when there are excessive ranged or caster enemies. I am a traditionalist. Augmented hack'n'slash all the way! -------------------- A Sucaran Child is standing here. You say, "hello" The small child looks at Preserver Aldous wide-eyed and awed. I'd already said that Jeros. It will always be wrong. The consequences, or proportion of blame, is all that changes. Going back to the first point: criminally insane people go into secure rehab, not jails. And the last point: for those who are blissfully unaware of death, their education would be sufficient punishment. As for Euthanasia, completely different topic, won't go there for now/here. -------------------- A Sucaran Child is standing here.
